When you quote someones post, you most definitely are addressing them.
@wilderdude @Unscented_Lemon Someone called it earlier. I am imploring you both cease interactions with one another going forward. Thank you.
But isn't being concerned about the actions of others part of having a society? When everyone takes the attitude of I am only responsible for me and mine, and nothing else, you don't have a community. Because it's a short hop from, "I don't have to care about that person's bad behavior, it's not harming me or anyone I know" to "I don't need to help that person in need, I don't know them."
@WriterGF I have no power over those who commit these acts. Much of the behavior is already against the law. If I saw it, I'd report it but TBH I can't remember witnessing anything. Seems like much of the behavior happens in private.
Cat calling is bad, but usually not a big deal unless it's over aggressive or vulgar. I roll my eyes at the women that complain non stop about a guy that told her she has a pretty smile or something. There are always going to be cringe people in public, generally low IQ people that don't understand how creepy it is to cat call a complete stranger (the real world is not a movie).
I have no idea who I'd be calling out. When someone DOES get outed for such behavior I do call it out, but it's kind of moot point because the whole world is pointing it out, i.e., cosby, r kelly, weinstein etc.
One I have been calling out for a good number of years is the rapper Drake, there are so many red flags. I just know he's gonna be the next R kelly.
@Shake yeah, have been trying.
One of my favorite Rules For Dating My Daughter" is:
"I may appear to be a middle-aged, pot-bellied, has been, but I am the merciless, all-knowing God of your universe. Don't trifle with me. I've got a shotgun, a shovel, and 12 acres behind the house."
@TxTom 👏👏👏👏
I may have said this in a comment before but I’ll say it again, recently, my Daughter was going out of town with her long term boyfriend who I actually like. As I was standing there saying goodbye and wishing them a good trip, I said, stay safe. Her boyfriend looks at me and says don’t worry, I’ll take care of her, she’s my girl. I pat him on the shoulder and said thank you, that’s real cute, but she’s actually my girl.
Don’t mess with a man’s babygirl. The shotgun is real.
@Shake Fair enough. I'll no longer ping them (which is what I assumed "addressing" meant), mentioning them by name, or saying anything specifically directed at them. I will keep pointing out their wrong/harmful opinions. I have no tolerance for misogyny, transphobia, or the like. Just look at their latest comment where they once again downplay or are dismissive of a common complaint by most women.
Do comments like that break any rules?
Probably a better movie than Bearnado. Though since it seems to be based off Neverending Story 2, maybe not.
@Unscented_Lemon lol Funny. Never seen the tornado or avalanche movies, but they have their following. lol If this meme keeps up, maybe they'll make a movie. lol
Regardless of everyone's answer on the original question, this song is chilling...
