@dennis22554 Thank you.
@HanShotFirst Imane Khelif was never male. She is a cis-woman.
Angela Carini regrets not shaking her hand. She made the following statement. “It wasn’t something I intended to do,” Carini said. “Actually, I want to apologize to her and everyone else. I was angry because my Olympics had gone up in smoke. I don’t have anything against Khelif. Actually, if I were to meet her again I would embrace her.”
China currently leads with 13 gold medals, followed by France and Australia with 11 each.
With a little over a week to go, any predictions?
Mine:
@PeopleLikeUs I heard. Apparently she has a hormonal issue that gives her increased levels of testosterone. Rarely see muscle definition like that on a woman outside of bodybuilding.
Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see, there is an agenda behind everything, simple as that.
@HanShotFirst Yeah, Khelif reportedly has differences of sexual development, known as DSD. Having DSD is not the same as being transgender. Her next challenger basically said "Bring it on. It'll make my win that much more spectacular."
@PeopleLikeUs
@lonelytauros Meta AI and the VP of the WBO as credible sources? You're not serious.
... and from Reduxx Mag? Hilarious!
@PeopleLikeUs The only reason why I use the AI reference was I’ve been following the story since the beginning and AI has always or I should say never referenced the boxer as male. This is the first time I’ve ever seen AI use that reference and an apology which was very strange to me.
@NikkiFM that's what I'm talking about! Couldn't agree more!
Anna Slatz is the founder of ReDuxx and was fired from two other publications for pro-Nazi views and anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric that she passes off as “reporting”. To quote Reduxx says a lot about that person.
The boxer in question has a disorder, the IOC reiterated support for her, and she received a loud ovation from fans after her bout today. Even the boxer who quit the bout on her that kicked this off has apologized.
...for pro-Nazi views and anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric...
Hey, @JohnR1972 , I call it: Godwin's Law!
@lonelytauros
@TxTom hey I call it facts. Look it up. Funny how a theory is called a law and people that hold those views hide behind it when someone who holds those views is called out. Instead of dealing with facts of someone who caters to extreme Nationalist groups you guys love to play the Godwin version of screaming “Uno” like school children.
Furthermore the IBA has been cutoff from several countries as well as the IOC because of ties to Russian mobs, corruption, racism and host of other issues. They have nothing to do with much of anything except hate mongering.
@BoomerSpooner
Edit: corrected dog breed, spelling
@TxTom
I vaguely remember that Facebook or Microsoft or someone, let loose their beta-AI onto the internet a while back, and the AI quickly developed wrongthink which had to be quickly "corrected" by the developers.
I like how dismissive you are here, as if you don't think that promoting Nazi ideology is wrong.
@TxTom Claim what you want it is being dismissive and you know it. One, it is not a law. Two, you guys use it and on more than one occasion John had said geesh, not again about calling Godwins Law. That is dismissive or the two of you are completely tone deaf. Probably both.
as if you don't think that promoting Nazi ideology is wrong.
This isn’t a problem for them if it fits their agenda as well, which is troubling.
How 'bout that come-from-behind 1st place finish in womens' track earlier today by Sweden? Pretty cool!
You guys are derailing my thread.
According to transphobes, your assigned gender at birth is your gender and can never be changed. Imane Khelif was assigned female at birth. That ought to be the end of the story, but somehow transphobes are winning gold medals in mental gymnastics to say that she's actually male.
Not really. Your buddy posted false information in a meme by a pro-Nazi sympathizer about a boxer in the Paris Olympics 2024. I believe that Paris Olympics 2024 is the name of the thread.
Gotta laugh when someone who baits others and plays disingenuous word games plays the victim card.
Translation: It's inconvenient that people keep pointing out my bigotry. Hey, look, a squirrel!
I challenge you to find and quote me where I said Khelif is transgendered.
@TxTom I challenge you to find where anyone said you did. Kind of makes your challenge a bit silly.
@TheFunCartel - I love you for saying what needs to be said!! There's N-O denying that a male is built with more muscle mass than a woman. If not conditioned, a woman can easily surpass his strength if she chooses to, but in the Olympics that's never the case. Someone can pretend to be the opposite gender to whatever extent they choose, but sports is one area where that shouldn't be allowed! RESPECT needs to become a "thing" again!! 🤮
@great_pillow08 Not trying to start anything, but that’s not what I was saying. She has a disorder and is not transgendered but many groups are turning this into something it isn’t. That’s my point.
But I do agree—Respect for every person regardless of your views needs to be a thing…permanently.
@TxTom The word is actually transgender, not transgendered. Using transgendered is the same as using the term colored.
I'll say this someone with that much testosterone in their body has an unfair advantage, it's like a natural body builder competing against one who isn't. But the question is how do you regulate something like that. Plus none of us were there to watch her grow up, lord knows if they were pumping stuff Into her. Too many questions and unknowns. I just don't buy the whole genetic disorder thing. It's all a publicity stunt to serve some type of agenda. In my opinion.
@TheFunCartel- I can't imagine a world in which YOU're "trying to start something". I'm not either, but the sky I-S blue and dirt I-S brown, so?? People irritate my soul!!
Is it a disorder or was she taking testosterone injections beginning at an early age and no one knew about it and she eventually quit before qualifying for the Olympics? Either way, she should have been disqualified! That would have been an unfair match from the start and they knew it, so it shouldn't have been allowed.
