Sound off! Is it uncouth to solicit business or is it perfectly fine? All opinions encouraged. 🤗
Yes, if they visited your profile or viewed you first, it’s definitely fine and Pros do it all the time.
No reason why pros can't visit a profile.
If you visit their profile, then it’s fine I say. I don’t have an unbiased opinion otherwise. There are people I didn’t mind reaching out for some reason and then there are some that might’ve irked me somehow.
So I don’t get upset. Unless I say I’m not interested and they still send messages and such. I’ve also learned from the forum that some pros get irritated when you check out their profile And some don’t care. Some have said they wish the person would say something at least. So I find myself profile for some reason more than once. I’ll at least tell them I was drawn to something or something. Just to be conscientious.
I don’t have an issue even if I have never viewed their profile and they write to me. If interested I will write back. It’s not a big deal to me, maybe to others but not here.
Right And a lot of people here feel the same way. But I believe there is actually a site rule about it. Maybe it’s in the TOS but I’m not sure. But I know it’s a rule.
If they were interested they would have reached out. 🤷🏼♀️ The beauty of CC is the lack of solicitation in my opinion.
I don’t have an issue with pros reaching out to me whether I’ve viewed them or not. It is annoying however to receive a message that’s obviously a copy and past. Secondly, if I say no I’m not interested or not at this moment, most pros appear butt hurt and don’t reply back. If you’re going to reach out to me, please make the message personalized and be polite and say thank you even if I decline your offer.
Absolutely. I probably wouldn’t get much business if I didn’t reach out. I find that some folks are too nervous to reach out initially, so I say hello to help with that. (Edit: to be clear, I reach out after someone has visited my page. I only ever reach out first if it’s to compliment a photo or profile.)
My intro message is copy pasta, but my personality shines through the message, so it doesn’t feel like copy pasta (that’s my hope, at least).
@Morpheus brings up a good point. I try to be gracious when folks say they’re not interested because it’s not personal. Good communication skills go a long way in this type of environment
I don't mind pros reaching out. Partily because I'm often too busy to send messages myself, partily because I'm awful at initial messages in general
I have this mentioned clearly enough in my profile though
I believe i try to find cuddles from people who have common interests and needs first, then maybe some when with genuine interest to help and be available. When i feel I'm being sold, iit demonstrates we don't have common interests. The interest of the pro is to earn a dollar while mine is to cuddle. Reaching out makes me feel like im a customer and that's not how i want to feel. So i dont dig it, i dont fault anyone who does it but i get the wrong feeling from it. I dont want to be (or feel like) a line item on a balance sheet or income statement ever.
My preference for pros (and enthusiasts too, for that matter), is not necessarily to solicit, but just say hello, how are you. I can see they are pros, and if I’m interested in a session, I will ask. In other words, I think the first interaction should be similar to meeting someone in person for the first time. Solicitation in a first message is off-putting, and makes everything too transactional and impersonal.
Here is the protocol from the site's pro contract:
~26. You agree to not initiate communication with our members unless you have reason to believe they will be interested in your services. Our membership includes enthusiasts (free) and clients. The website is designed for clients to reach out to professional cuddlers.
IMO when a pro disregards this rule, it's pretty much apparent that they will treat other site rules similarly.
That protocol sounds pretty ambiguous to me. If you are on a cuddling site is that not reason to believe you are interested in cuddling services?
As someone who was new to this site recently, I would say yes it is okay and actually good that a pro reach out to enthusiasts who visit there page.
I was a shy guy (still am) at first and didn't know what to expect from profiles/people. So I read their bio, likes/dislikes, location for cuddles, rates (some of different discounts after certain hours of time) etcetera before I make my decision. And having a pro reach out to make contact and just welcome to the site and guide me through the process of a paid session, really makes it easier to get out of my shell.
When I first got here I checked many different pros in my area, because I wanted to see if any stuck out to me. Well out of the 10 or so profiles I checked out, I probably only had two or three reach out. But then you read on some profiles say that if you visit a few times without reaching out it is an auto block. Well when you have tens of profiles in your area and are new to the site, sometimes you need time to flip back and forth to get a feel for the subtle differences in people/profiles. So it is disheartening when you learn it is a bother to some for not knowing what exactly you want.
It is especially hard when everyone is nice and fluffy on their profile but really inconsiderate, impatient, or other negative trait when you can't just see everyone at once. Especially when it is a financial reason you can't plan to see more than 1 person over a period of time.
Personally, I love to get mail. While I am not in a position to afford a pro right now, if someone reaches out to me and seems nice, I file their name away for when I do have the extra money.
@WriterGF Sounds like a good common sense approach.
It's cringey to be honest
I personally am not a fan of pros reaching out to solicit. I'm also one who gets irritated at the people at the fragrance kiosk chasing me down in the middle of the mall. If I was interested, I would come to you AND say something.
I also can appreciate the flip side for those who may not (for whatever reason) say something first and like the outreach. It's understandable that they can appreciate the pro saying 'hi, saw you viewed my profile, are you interested...'
I had a male pro reach out to me (I had not gone to his page first) and we actually had pretty good conversation and were making plans for me to come cuddle (3.5 hour drive for me). I'm not one who has to see a profile - it's about our convo. So I never went to his page until he decided to tell me how much he was going to charge me. So then I actually went to his profile and he was a pro. I was pissed and irritated.
In my opinion, soliciting business by messaging someone who has viewed your profile is fine. Only problems I've ever seen is HOW it's being done.
@AlexysDanyelle: I'm not one who has to see a profile - it's about our convo
I get it, I feel this way too.
Professionals are not permitted to contact members to solicit business unless they have reason to believe that the recipient may be interested, as @starrynitecuds said. This is interpreted to mean that professionals may message people who have visited their profile.
However, anecdotal evidence suggests that it's pointless. Such approaches rarely result in a booking. Sending a copy/paste template is definitely pointless - only indivual messages have any chance of success. Even then it's usually some kind of shared interest that sparks the conversation and then the booking.
In other words, @CentralFLCuddle is doing an extraordinary job!
Everybody who joins this website is (or was) vulnerable in some way whether they realise/admit it or not, and some of these people would find solicitation messages from professionals very difficult to deal with, emotionally.
@gem7
If you are on a cuddling site is that not reason to believe you are interested in cuddling services?
It is not, no. People come here for a bewildering variety of reason, and if you or I were stranded on a desert island for a million years we wouldn't think of half of them. Humans are complex.
One of the commoner non-cuddling reasons people come is because their history of touch is very traumatic, and there is a dearth of support for such people. Their goals, if they have any, may be simply to be able to shake hands with a stranger, or hug their neice. A signficant minority of members are never going to meet another member under any circumstances - they are here only for the website, not the physical meetings the website can bring if you want it to.
I'm fine with Pros reaching out to me. I just ask that you double-check our relative proximity to each other first, please.

"Emotionally traumatizing" to receive a solicitation from a cuddle Pro? Really?
How do those people deal with busted water pipes? A car accident? An IRS audit? A death in the family?
@TxTom

Yes. People leave the site because of such messages, even though the messages themselves are perfectly innocuous. An unsolicited message, particularly one which is against the rules, is an attack. And if you are under attack, you are not safe.
These other things don't involve touch. Nor do they involve an explicit and individual attack by another person.
I just ask that you double-check our relative proximity to each other first, please
Oh boy .... I can sure second that one!
@TxTom I totally agree with you. Lots to worry about in this world. That doesn't seem to be one of them..
@TxTom Odds are they don't, not easily. Social anxiety can be crippling.
@CuddleDuncan

I read and agree with much of what you write, but please, an unsolicited message is not an "attack."
Too much bubblewrap.
@TxTom for some people it most certainly is, in psychological terms.
Consider the following thought experiment. For complicated reasons you suddenly find yourself living in a far away part of the world. Not one single soul knows where you are. The landlord of your house doesn't even know your name, the rental being short term and for cash. For a few days everything is fine, and then one morning you see that slipped under the front door is a letter addressed to you, with your full name and the full correct address of the place you are staying.
@CuddleDuncan First, your thought experiment in no way compares to someone who willingly joins CuddleComfort and then receives messages from other cuddlers.
Second, your thought experiment sounds like the experience of illegal immigrants, or someone smuggled into a foreign country.
I don't know what it has to do with Pros reaching out to other site members.
I have no issues with anyone contacting me. Why join a site like this when people are not allowed to contact you. Doesn't make much sense to me.
That being said, if your constantly getting harassed by someone who you asked not to message you is another thing.
