I am new to this site but I don't understand why some people have locked photos in their profiles. You're not supposed to have photos without clothes and stuff like that from my understanding, so why would you have locked photos? I'm just curious
It doesn’t mean that they are nude photos. I haven’t seen any of those kind of photos when a cuddler sends me their locked pics.
It could be photos with personally revealing information, such as clues as to where they live. Or they could be locked because there's other people in the photos. Lots of reasons for not wanting photos to be public.
Sometimes photos are locked because they are looking for a level of privacy for a variety of reasons. But it’s clear that nudity in photos is against the site’s TOS.
Because I want to. And its done regardless of others assumptions. At its core this site is not a dating site, so leave that baggage at the door. Study and understand this environment in order to understand people in a different scope. Welcome to the site!
I have pictures of myself locked. If you notice the presented picture is not me so i have the others locked and i am willing to share after a few conversations.
I have mine locked because not everyone who comes to the site is here with good intentions. So if I chat with someone and we feel like becoming mutual friends here, they can see my locked photos.
I’m going to lock my photos. Like someone said, this is NOT a dating site so I don’t understand why someone would be on here window shopping. I understand the need for privacy, anonymity, and security.
@parrothead You can set up your account how it best suits you. As an enthusiast you have complete anonymity. As a Pro-vider, we must feature one clear face pic only. Having a locked photo vault is a personal preference for either Enthusiast or Pro. I’m curious 🧐 Why did you automatically assume they are “inappropriate vaults” ? Which type of profiles are you seeing that are seeking to view that concern you due to locked vaults? IMO I’m not seeing massive red flags 🚩 from accounts in your area that feature a main photo. Again we cannot dox in the forum but I’m curious. 🤨 and you stated a thread 🧵 on it.
There is a certain stigma attached to cuddling with strangers in a sense. If it is not the norm, people don’t want other people to see. There is a multitude of reasons why people don’t want to share their face online.
Photos set to friends only or private are not inappropriate photos. Some people want to maintain privacy so they may restrict who can see them. Also mods can see all photos regardless of privacy settings.
@parrothead I have several seasonal variations of my main blobfish avatar. I keep each these variations locked away in my private folder until it's time to switch them out.
While the blobfish is indeed nude---because it's a blobfish---it's sometimes wearing a very cute hat.
So, rest assured, there's no rule breaking going on here.

I don't have a photo of me and I don't care if someone else doesn't either. I would like to meet quality people based on real dialogue not on appearance. Photos can be exchanged at some later time.
@parrothead Yes, there are valid reasons why people want private photos, but you're not wrong to be suspicious, either. Considering the amount of TOS breaking PUBLIC photos I report just from the main page here, I highly doubt private photos are any better. This site relies on its members to report each other, ot software, which logically means it's impossible for those without permission to see hidden photos to report them.
I have some photos that are private. They are photos I uploaded but then decided later I didn’t want displayed so rather than deleting, I made them private.
As far as Cuddle Comfort goes, there are no locked photos in my gallery. 😊
Sites that are elsewhere from Cuddle Comfort, for certain reasons I definitely have photos set for friends only.👍
I also choose to keep a very short friend's list on those sites as well.😁
And to keep it really really. I am terrible at taking selfies and taking pictures. Sooooo, there is that. I will take one pic and thats it, not 10-100 for the best ones lol. 1, with dim lights, sunshine glare, short attention span, looking somewhere else, whatever and that I promise is not a representation of me. Just a photo. That has a high chance of looking crazy 😂😉
Didn't mean to offend anybody asking the question, and I'm definitely not looking at this as a dating site. I just wasn't sure why people had locked photos but you've given me a lot of good answers so I appreciate it. I do apologize if I gave anyone a bad idea of my intentions or offended anyone

@parrothead You're fine. I've seen some Pro's dangle their locked photos as a carrot to entice people to add them as a Friend, or who give flirtatious impressions of what might be behind the lock.
I'm sure there are users here who have non-platonic locked photos. There are plenty who have non-platonic photos right out in the open...they get reported to the mods all the time.
But as others have pointed out, locked isn't synonymous with non-platonic. There could be numerous reasons; some legit, some not.
