Sammy Davis Jr. And for that matter the original Rat Pack folks. The world is missing a crafted attempt at perfection. So we get some that come close, but technology has made it easier to say "good enough." (and then quantize that beat) I've been with a lot of musicians, professionals, hell I was signed with Motown (damn keep forgetting). But it's a focused, constant thing that consumes your life. It takes a special person to stay with these people.
I also would enjoy seeing Prince again. Dude is,was a workaholic.

As a drummer, I would have loved to have seen Buddy Rich or Gene Krupa. Any of the Big Bands from the 20's-50's. Benny Goodman, Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, Billie Holliday. I was born in the wrong era.

Tom Petty! I was somewhat into them, and then wasn't for a while. Then I started to get really into them and he passed before I could see them.
@fridaygreg I was fortunate to see Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers twice. Once at Red Rocks. Great shows, I am sure you would have enjoyed him.

I am seeing Maiden in Nov in Charlotte NC (and the 51 y/o will get home about 130 AM, sleep 4 hours then go to work) Yup, the "old man" can still do it. LOL. I saw the Eagles last year and did the same thing and co-workers were completely surprised I did that.

Prince and Queen are my two regrets. I did see get to see Robert Palmer twice at least.....that dude was awesome live. Best dressed musician. I've seen Les Claypool and or Primus the most (8 times now?) and Billy Idol like 4 times so they top my list of most seen.

I was devastated when I heard the news—I even fainted. It hurt so deeply when he passed.
Friends called to check on me that day, and my mom even offered to drive me home.
Now that I'm finally in a position to attend his concerts, he's no longer with us... Sigh 😔
