Double Cuddle increased pricing logic?

Can someone please explain the logic on increasing the price for a double cuddle? I see that option more and more, which is cool and creative, but don’t understand why if 2 pro cuddlers are typically $100-$120 an hour each that they set double cuddle at $300 (which I see consistently). $120+$120 = $240, not $300.

What am I missing (other than free enterprise)?

Also, yes, I get the rational that everyone can set their own price and am cool with that. I just don’t understand this trend of increasing specifically for double if someone has already set their individual pricing. Also, not bashing anyone or the idea, just asking to understand.

From my own experience, when I offered double cuddles.
We charged our own hourly rates.
She was 110 hourly but had a two hour minimum so regardless, my partner got 220
I was 110 hourly but I didn’t have a minimum. So I would either get 110 or if they wanted, I got 220.
A Cuddler paid either 440 or 330 for a double cuddle with us.
If they tipped us, that’s on them.

My double cuddler partner are besties now. Thank you to the cuddler who united us 👯

I would ask if there were any hidden fees being added to the total. Or ask why is there a 60 dollar difference.

    Gratuity fee?

  • I can see possibly a logistics issue of more work to match multiple schedules, but not a huge amount probably.

  • This will most certainly be an interesting thread for various reasons.

Judging by the MANY previous threads -commenting/complaining about the inability of some to find Female cuddlers -the extremely comical Irony that there are guys finding "Double Cuddlers" should not be lost on those with a sense of humor.

    @Mre_us
I think it is a thoughtful post and I am glad you put the last paragraph in there although I would bet Big on someone still with the obligatory- People can charge what they want response-Which we all know and agree with.

I encourage everyone to cuddle with @MajesticMango - She has a great energy- I have never cuddled with her but she seems very pleasant and engaging.

  • That doesn’t sound right. It should be a combined rate for both cuddlers, and the booking is made through one of them (the pro you book with will be responsible for getting the other pro’s portion to them). If they are adding something to the price, it needs to be disclosed what that is and you shouldn’t accept a booking proposal if it is not the price you are expecting. If they do charge more for double cuddles, I don’t think that is against the rules, it just needs to be the correct price indicated in the booking.

  • When I see post about people complaining about pricing, I see someone throwing a tantrum. Yea sure, its your opinion and this is the free internet but it giving "I can't seem to get what I want the way I want it, can everyone please help me feel better about it?"

To answer your question, its simply supply and demand. You clearly don't have a demand for what they're supplying unless you do but you only want it on your terms.

Point is, this question is in bad faith and I would definitely ask myself. What is the purpose of this post? What are the outcomes you need in order to put this to rest? Almost always its that you don't want to be taken advantage of but it's communicated in a way that proves this trend of 'pros can't be trusted....just look how their pricing a double cuddles....'

@Estevez Ummm, I think you went wayyyy too heavy on the OP.

I don’t think his question is in bad faith at all. And no his inquiry was clearly NOT “throwing a tantrum”. He CLEARLY acknowledged the free market aspect, he chose his words very carefully, and was very diplomatic and non-accusatory in his delivery so maybe just slow the roll if you can.

Perhaps go back and re-read the wording one more time. If the question annoys you then so be it, but I don’t think he deserves an attack for it. And even the Moderator @CharlieBear weighed in with some constructive input on it as well.

  • @Estevez , that's a bit harsh, don't you think?
    It's a logical question that 1+1 should equal 2, not 2.5.

  • [Deleted User]SweetlyBlissful (deleted user)

Yikes @Estevez . I think you spilled some pent up aggression related to another conversation on this thread. I didn’t get whiny complainer from the OP at all. If folks are charging more than the combined rate would be, an explanation as to why is reasonable. If my car needs and oil change for $50 and it’s tires rotated for $10, but because I do them together the dealership tries to charge me $80, imma need a darn good reason as to why.

  • Let’s not attack @Estevez guys. She also makes a valid point as well.

  • @Mre_us was extremely polite asking his question and I do not think he was making an attack or complaint about pro pricing. He was asking a question I have wondered about myself but haven’t asked because of the aggressive response he just received. I agree with @WestsideMarc —lets bring it down a notch.

  • I think it’s a very innocent and inquisitive post. There’s nothing wrong with asking and it was asked in a very thoughtful manner. I don’t know other cuddlers in my area, if I did I would be interested in offering double cuddle services it sounds fun. I cuddled with a couple once years ago through a different platform than this. It was a fun experience. I charged 150% of my normal rate at the time. Some could say that it didn’t cost me anymore of my time than a regular cuddle but I felt it was a special request and I felt it was a fair price for it. They were happy to pay it and tipped me nicely. I share this story to say the price could just simply be reflective of the fact that it is a special experience and there for gets a special price set by them.

  • Maybe the 2 pros don’t like each so they charge extra for having to work together 🤷‍♂️

(This comment was 99.9% ‘just kidding’)

@Estevez congrats on whatever point you didn’t make lol

OP’s question was entirely valid and deserves a serious response.

  • Maybe they both charge different prices? If one charges 80 and then one charges 100 it would like that or maybe charge more due to higher fee we need to charge the site

  • No point in arguing the way double cuddles are priced and definitely no need to look for logic as there may be none. Different people value it differently and therefore will price it differently . Possibly the two pros refernced by the OP believe the idea of a double is attractive enough to justify applying a premium to it. The market will decide. There are also arguments that can be made to justify a discounted price for a double.

OPs inquiry is valid and legit and looks like most here agree with that.

  • I encourage everyone to cuddle with @MajesticMango - She has a great energy- I have never cuddled with her but she seems very pleasant and engaging.

@MajesticMango was added to my watch list recently 🤣🤣🤣

  • I definitely don’t think there was anything wrong with asking this. I’ve never found anything wrong with someone asking something to purely understand. Sometimes you can pick up the vibe of them being overly negative or bitchy, but I just see confusion on pricing structure. Nothing wrong with asking.

@stampsm I think you posted a good reason. With the added work of figuring out each others schedules and adding a lot more into the planning in terms of when and where, it makes sense to add a bit more.

I know for myself when I did double cuddles, we just rounded up the price. I was $100/hour, she was $90, so we just simply said $200/hour to have us both to snuggle and whatever travel charges there were. Easy peasy.

I know some pros don’t like to be asked why their price is what it is, but maybe just ask them. But if you feel put off because of it, whether you ask or not, having a snuggle with them will always have that slight bad vibe because of the price.

    @Estevez

Ironically, it sounds like you just threw a tantrum.

  • [Deleted User]gem7 (deleted user)

No animals were injured by the OP asking thus question.

  • @Sheena123 Well said. Having all the pricing and cuddle forecast relayed and messaged over CC so there is no confusion on how they are booking 2 Pro-viders for a doubles session is key.

Each Provider will have to reimburse the site for the booking so that would need to be clear for all 3 parties. I prefer to be booked individually this way so we can all leave Karmas, if we prefer and that is keeps my cuddle calendar bookings and percentage payments clear.

My first double session, we were each booked individually and had all the parameters spelled out beforehand, so it was incredibly easy to book and commence our cuddle bubble without so much transactional processing or confusion interfering with the actual cuddle session itself.

It is not a typical cuddle booking for doubles but is refreshingly amazing when a client is clear with communications, boundaries, expectations and budgets for a doubles cuddle. It is a rare luxury, imo. I adore meeting new clients and Pro-viders and feel we all benefit and learn from one another.

I don't feel there was any real bad faith in the OP question , though I do certainly understand how complaint fatigue can lead someone to jump to conclusions . I'm guilty of that as well . I would just say that I don't feel there is anything to be gained other than various people putting in 2 cents. There is no real conclusion to be made . I recommend asking the people who are charging rates that you feel lack continuity. Plus you dont actually have to hire them to cuddle with you if you don't want to. Beyond that, your seemingly innocuous post does run the risk of evolving into just another thread of complaints about pricing.

  • I would just simply ask them what the reason for those price.
It's possible that they may have just forgot to update their bio, when they decided to drop the price down a little bit on their hours. Who knows, just simply ask them.

  • To your point @SweetlyBlissful, do you speak to the dealership who's charging you?

  • Am I misunderstanding this post?
It seems each Pro simply wanted to be paid her full rate for her time spent cuddling. Wouldn’t the client just negotiate in advance - before booking - what he is willing to pay for making it a threesome or not book with them? Problem solved.
Is there a rule that the Pros are breaking by setting their prices this way? Maybe not ethical but I thought it was their choice.

  • [Deleted User]gem7 (deleted user)

@g_w_t_w So you are saying make a decision based on an exchange of information? Thats a concept I am going to go with. :)

  • I don’t get why so many people are making such a big deal out of this thread. The OP simply stated he has seen pros charge more than their individually added standard fee’s for a double cuddle and it doesn’t make sense to him.

So either talk to the pros and bargain, see someone else and don’t have a double cuddle.

    Done 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • If two PROs decide to form a partnership, at rates slightly different than their individual rates, they should have that latitude and to do so free of explanation. I could be mistaken, but I imagine there are slightly differences in the logistics between single cuddle sessions and ones where more than one Pro. There might be a multitude reasons for pricing differences----but that's between the partners----clients are to the book service or ask questions They also have the option to pass. I could be wrong, but I am fairly sure CC Pros are not bags of potatoes where pricing would be expected to follow a linear pricing structure. If it did--then why the wide price differences that single cuddlers provide. Silly me--I just think one should be grateful that double cuddling services are even being offered.

  • Thanks all for your comments and insight.

@sage91436 thanks for your insight. That made perfect sense to me.

@Sheena123 I personally think rounding up makes a lot of sense and eliminates any awkwardness. I had a double a while back and one charged a different rate than the other. I was uncomfortable paying one more than the other so without making a fuss or saying anything I paid them both the higher rate.

@SunshineHug 100% agree on getting on the same page on all those elements of a cuddle. Also, absolutely love meeting new people and hearing their stories.

  • Questioning isn't the same as arguing or complaining. As @Charlie advised, ask why the fee is increasing and it should be easily explained.
If I went to McDonalds and ordered a burger and cheeseburger, I would definitely question if they increased the price for buying both without anything extra.
