Cruising and Cuddles

[Deleted User]simsaddict (deleted user)

I’m on a cruise tomorrow with a group of friends but I was just thinking about how fun it might be to do a meet and greet on a cruise with fellow cuddlists.
Thinking this could be a plan for 2025?
Thoughts?

  • Fantastic idea!

  • Sure why not, would just need somebody to hold my hair while I puke into a bucket from sea sickness

  • Probably not advisable. From what I've heard, meet and greets often have pros there cuddling for money. Cruise ships may not allow that type of activity. They often are sailing under a non-USA flag, even when they port in an American city, like Miami. Operating a business (money for a service or product) could cause international problems. International waters aren't lawless, ask a travel agent.
Even an American cruise ship could have issues, since you have to be registered in the state where you're doing business.

    😆

@pmvines Aww, I can hold your hair while you puke over the side, friend...🤮🫂

Gotcha the perfect coffee cup gift for the occasion too! 😁☕

    Ta da! 😆

    You love it, right? 😜😆

  • Could be fun. I don't think I'd want to do paid sessions though, for this. I'd want it to be like an extended cuddle party/ workshop

Why would a Pro charge at a meet and greet? Seems counter productive. I would totally cuddle for free at a meet and greet. (And pass out cards - my mother didn’t raise a fool).

  • I’d certainly join such a cruise, though lot depends on the type of cruise and where. In short, If the cruise would be one I’d want to do anyways, I’d join. I wouldn’t join solely because it was a cuddle meet and greet.

  • I'm also on a cruise tomorrow.... it wouldn't be RC Utopia, would it?

Would it be safer for all concerned if the ‘pros’ and ‘enthusiasts’ were sequestered in separate levels for rooms on the ship?

  • I think it would be a great idea!

  • I've been on a cruise with a client before, but damn ... That sounds like a great time for all my enthusiasts and pros alike

  • I have been on a cruise with a cuddler. I bought the cruise for her n she accompanied me. No money exchanged. Booked two beds in the room just incase she needed her own space at times. We did things in common n cuddled n hugged a lot n danced a lot. So it was wonderful. Yes it’s possible. As there is no exchange of money. And, she had her own space to do whatever she wanted to do whilst in the cruise. Amazing time indeed. Good thought to have a cruise. I had it for seven day Caribbean.

  • @sin67 So you weren't a client? That was a planned vacation with a friend, not a meet and greet.
Pros soliciting clients and conducting their business on a cruise ship is an entirely different animal.

  • I will say I loved the Alaskan cruise I went on this time last year. Not sure how tropical I'd go for a cruise, but I'm open to ideas.

  • I have been on many many cruises and I have "cuddled" many many times on those cruises. Long before discovering CC :3

  • Alaskan cruise is great to cuddle under the sheets. It’s a beautiful cruise n everyone has to donut once in their life time. I also did from Hawaii to Australia n visited some of the most amazing clean small islands in the world. It was for 18 days.
Last I did the African cruise it was really good. Started in abudhabi, Dubai, Kuwait, Mombasa, Kenya, Zanzibar, Seychelles, Madagascar and Mauritius. It was 16 days n beautiful. Dubai, Kuwait n abudhabi were very clean n safe places rest of the places the cleanliness was questionable.
And the next is the Icon of the seas in November. Heard the ship is great n loads of cuddling time… so see u all in November in the east Caribbean, on the Icon of the seas.

Alaskan cruise does sound like a lovely and unique experience!

  • @Erin_Elle_ > Alaskan cruise does sound like a lovely and unique experience!

Years ago with my fam we went from Vancouver to Alaska on I believe an 8 day cruise. On the final day of being in Alaska we left Glacier Bay and a few hours later the Capt over the intercom told all of us that we will be hitting a huge storm and anyone with motion sickness should head to see the ship's doctor for Dramamine. Over the next 9 hours we encountered what the Captain called the worst storm he had ever encountered and he had been a Captain in the Atlantic for 3 decades before joining our cruise line. The ship had its stablizers fully extended and we went UP and then DOWN 40 foot faces of wave after wave.

No need to sequester. I just couldn't afford to book a cruise and do a bunch of paid sessions. That's all. All the pros I have booked with have been awesome!

Meet and Greets are not about pros cuddling clients. It’s about the cuddle community and meeting new friends. Any paid cuddling is done outside the Meet and Greet and is between the pro and client. Pros attend but they are not soliciting enthusiasts. At least that’s been my experience.

  • .... taking noting feverously.

  • @simsaddict have fun on your cruise and please be safe 🚢

  • Awesome you got to go with a pro @sin67 and made it work so beautifully!! I bet that was an amazing time 😎

Oh my goodness! I've always wanted to do an Alaskan cruise @MissAdventurous ! I bet that was breathtaking.

I've done a warm weather cruise, down around Mexico and the FL Keys, but that was awhile back LOL
I know there's SO many more nowadays....including river cruises that look super cool!

    I'll hold your hair back too @pmvines 😉😉😉 we'll take turns ❤️

I think we're gonna need a bigger bucket and a packer of scrunchies

  • @starrynitecuds Welcome to the site!!! I know you joined in January 2024 but I still wanted to give a shout out. I always love seeing that white porch statue with the pink sunglasses 😂😁😎

I am so sorry that you've heard of such bad experiences at Meet & Greets.

From what I've heard, meet and greets often have pros there cuddling for money.

I was thinking back and I feel like the only MeetUps the community has had this year were in Colorado and Ohio and I feel a bit responsible when people have a bad taste in their mouths around something that is meant to be uplifting and connecting.

I know not everyone has the best intentions, and it makes me sad, but for the most part, everyone who comes to the Meet & Greets have been pretty kind and not just running around soliciting for business. I know not every Pro has the best social skills and is more interested in cash flow, but it feels like 90% of the people come for the friendships and connections even if they do schedule a session OUTSIDE of the Meet & Greets.

You bring up a VERY valid point that if someone were going to be on a cruise with a pro, they might want to arrange that beforehand to keep everyone out of trouble. That was very thoughtful!!!

Operating a business (money for a service or product) could cause international problems. International waters aren't lawless, ask a travel agent. Even an American cruise ship could have issues, since you have to be registered in the state where you're doing business.

Also.... A Meet & Greet like the PA one, can be set up so the facilitator (in this case not a pro, but @cudbud64) is the only one who can be reached for the details in order to help keep the list of attendees to the current members who aren't troublemakers or in this case, banned members who make threats against the Moderators etc.

@simsaddict I hope you have so much fun and I think it would be a great idea especially if you weren't puking like @pmvines.

@starrynitecuds I am sad that you've had such a bad experience. Hopefully things will improve in that area.

@sillysassy , I didn't have a bad experience, I just know about a meet and greet where several pros were actively soliciting clients, including one who was handing out her business card (with contact info) as she met people there and another who was having clients leave the event. Yes, @TheFunCartel I have seen that card personally. It wasn't a site sponsored event, so it was OK.

  • @starrynitecuds that makes me sad 😔

I know that as a facilitator of some of these events, if I would have been notified I would have had a quiet conversation with the pro. This is NOT what these are supposed to be about and I don't want that kind of thing to affect people wanting to attend.

No world is perfect and certainly everyone has their personal motives so I can only speak from my perspective. Hopefully that wouldn't be something that would deter cuddlers from meeting each other in the future. Maybe someday I will get to meet you out there in Michigan. 😊

In the meantime.... hopefully we can all enjoy the musings of the current cruise in progress.

Didn't mean to sidetrack or hijack your thread @simsaddict !!! ENJOY!!

  • Two of my favorite things: cruising and cuddling. ☺️

  • @starrynitecuds what do you have to register for in each state?

I'm with @simsaddict and @MissAdventurous here, a cuddle cruise sounds like a ton of fun. The only thing I don't like is the prospect of not being able to "leave," when you'd like to.

A cruise sounds great but I could only handle a few days on a ship.
