But for now I'll vote for the so called Eco-cap on plastic bottles. In Italy is becoming the latest fashion. I'm happy about how much we recycle, but I think this cap is a plague creating more problems than the one that they claim it solves (and it's not the correct way either). If the inventor is a man, I would hang him by his testicles like the cap dangles from the bottle neck...
My pet peeve is threads created complaining about a woman doing X, men that jump in defending women doing X and then busybody members jumping in to defend the poor male member unjustly persecuted who made complaint without ANY of them having the full picture. In the end, the OP is almost always banned probably because they incriminated themselves in creating the a problem in the first place or not getting what they wanted. Most recently it was a guy who ran into a sex worker on here and didn’t like that she was going to charge more here than in a sex site. He was banned in what seemed like a pretty open and shut case where both parties would be banned if not for female white knights defending him and accusing the pros, and white knight guys defending the pro and condemning the guy.
This is part of a bigger peeve—people thinking they know better than experts—doctors, lawyers, etc—in their fields because they can do an internet search. In this case people thinking they know better than the moderator who has information they do not. Threads that go on for pages with little or dubious information. Just report and step aside and let the moderators do their jobs. There is no need to accuse pros of engaging in sex work, defending men who are closet incels, or in general trying to moderate a thread on a possibly serious subject when you are not internet law enforcement.
@TheFunCartel Sometimes I think it is less about white knighting and more about some people just liking to be contrary and argue.
@WriterGF As usual you are probably right. It just seems like people think they have the full answer with only half the information.

In my opinion, it's much more harmonious on here when we simply keep our opinions to ourselves.

My biggest pet peeve is people who don’t return your call or text message. If someone takes the time to contact me, I always contact them back. When people do this they’re basically telling you that you aren’t important enough to to them to get back to you. I don’t buy it when people say they’re too busy. It takes seconds to send a text.
My pet peeve: I go to hardware stores pretty often, buying tools or other products for whatever. I don’t know if anyone ever reads the fine print when purchasing something as simple as a shovel, kind-of ridiculous but I’m seeing this similar label on a lot of products being sold. I figure that you’re using this brand new shovel and it usually has a nice looking coating on it for hand comfort. Having researched a little on dermal absorption I suspect substances can be absorbed more easily when maybe your hands start sweating while your hands are in contact with the nice coating on the handle of that shovel, (as an example). I’m just tired of seeing this label on everything, if it’s not safe, don’t accept it as a product to be sold. Consumers have the right to have safe products, not carcinogenic, mutagenic, reproductive effector products.

This is really worse than a pet peeve imo but I’ve seen a few profiles that include a child (their own child I presume?) in their photo. Does anyone else feel that’s inappropriate or dangerous? Maybe the person just wants to show they’re a dad or mom but……
@g_w_t_w My personal opinion is that adult only sites such as this is no place for kids, especially with number of incidents of creepy weirdos and safety concerns. The less personal info to the general pool on interwebs strangers the better. Family pics are for those of whom I am intimately familiar.
@pmvines 💯 I feel the same. Right now on my homepage there’s one showing and it’s very concerning to me. But people do it, I’ve seen it multiple times here. I have friends constantly sharing photos of their kids on FB, with their full names and birthdays. It’s pretty common there but in our family, we wouldn’t do it. Maybe someone will read this and realize it’s not a good idea and replace it with a photo of only themselves.

@pmvines Parents not realizing the risks they’re taking by just living a normal life. It’s sad that everyone needs to be so cautious but they do (imo).
@pmvines thank you for the PSA. Last thing I need is to read aloud a name from a sticker and have a random kid, or man, come running. (I prefer furry friends with waggy tails and wet noses.)
Even worse is dating site profiles where the main picture is the kids front and center and the person in the background. And web influencers whose entire family is live streamed all day.
Pet peeve is rudeness to people in the service industry. Most are doing their best and often we don't know what's truly limiting their abilities like a slow kitchen for example. My folks are rude to wait staff every single time. I don't get it.
I see this everywhere. With flight attendants, fast food, retail, the tire store. I mean, lighten the fuck up people.
Oh. I have a second pet peeve. People that minimize my cancer. "Oh, you caught it early and that's very treatable". Yes, I have a much higher survival rate by finding it early but I will live every day with the threat of reoccurrence and also the very real side effects for the rest of my life.
