I have a form of omphalophobia. I am afraid of having my belly button touched. I
I'm scared of dying lonely but also really scared to marry a third crappy spouse. My two greatest fears and they fully contradict each other.
I'm terribly afraid of going bald 😅
@Auroradream I hope you find a great partner without the marriage thing.
Knives. I'm very cautious when cutting or slicing anything even if it's just bread
@RaveHeart I heard bald is beautiful.
People seem to be doing their serious (not unusual/weird) fears, too, so I'll do both...
Serious
I'm very afraid of my boyfriend dying or getting incapacitated by some terrible condition. The idea of him suffering or being unable to communicate, or of me having to go through his death and push on without him, is a mortifying thought.
Unusual
Sinkholes! Not much creeps me out in this world, but the concept of a black hole of death spontaneously opening up to swallow buildings scares the sh!t out of me! 😬😱🫣

Meeting new people. Hence, why I still haven't gotten a cuddle buddy, despite there being people near me and I definitely have the money to pay them.
Baby oil and pagers 📟
Sounds like the makings of a Diddy party
One thing I fear is Cancer but that's pretty normal.
Also being centre of attention, which sounds normal but it's to the extent I'll kinda downright refuse to get married in public as if that's ever going to happen.
Some insects freak me out, snakes, heights, public speaking, large groups of unknown people, etc.
But honestly, I have anxiety, so pretty much everything freaks me out to some extent. I'm learning to face my fears though, and they are lessening. This site has helped me tremendously with several of my fears!
Eyeballs 👀
Having to do anything medical with anyone’s eyes freaks me out. And even worse anything pointing towards my eyes can render me frozen. It takes 3 people to give me eye drops. 2 to hold me down one to pry my eyes open and put the drops in. I have to take prescription anxiety meds before an eye exam. It’s gotten slightly better after having to have 3 awake surgery right near my eye. With so many exams and the procedures it forced me to get used to it.
@sage91436 Eye get what you are sayin'.
The eyes have it 👀
@sage91436 does being hypnotized fall into that fear?
Opening cabinets that have sat empty for awhile
@lonelytauros haha … I’ve actually had 3 therapists try to hypnotize me … all have failed. It’s a highly unexplainable fear. Eye exams are the worst I hit a tech once and grabbed another’s wrist when she came at my face.
When I got my medical assistant degree I could clean & dress a wound that was down to the bone but don’t ask me to examine a healthy eye.
@Janelle19 Are you afraid there might be a spider or ghost in there?
@gem7 you've just taught me something new!
Oddly, I actually have a urge to poke or boop people belly buttons if exposed. I usually override it but there are at times notice my hand reaching out before by brain kicks in and have to hold my own hands when someone stretches and exposes their tummy. As a child, I used to follow kids with huge belly buttons. Looking back, thnk i was trying to touch their belly button.
Just to reassure you, i don't act on the urge unless a person allows it.
My fear is less weird and i think might be more of a very strong dislike than a fear- of Clowns. That smile and dead eyes! Shudder! Creepy mc creep! . I'm extremely careful aroubd pregnant woman, I have an irrational thing about accidentially bumping into them. That's sort of a fear, I think.
I fear being misunderstood. This often causes me to over-explain. You see where this is going.
Also, on a related note…
Michael Bernard Loggins is an author with developmental disabilities. His book, Fears of Your Life is super relatable. And his lists of his fears read like found poetry. I recommend highly.

@MonkeyNeedsAHug Thanks for the book suggestion.
I can't remember the last time I felt fear. I'm pretty much dead inside lmao
Aliens, specifically greys.
My unusual fear is that my real fear will happen. I'm rarely scared, but when I do become afraid, it's rational. And real. It's almost a relief when it finally happens, because it's tangible, and I can work with that.
I have kakorrhaphiophobia.
I would not say I have a real fear of high bridges but I do feel uncomfortable driving over them. It’s not so much the height. As a pilot I don’t have any issues with flying that high. After seeing several brides fall, there was one in my home state and the Skyway bridge near Tampa,Florida and I drove over that bridge one week before it fell. I was stuck in traffic once on my motorcycle on an old all metal bridge at the highest point and could feel it swaying due to high winds.
@Auroradream 3rd times the charm
That there are no women in the UK that want cuddles all the profiles are fake 😂😂
Sure, @gem7
Let me know what you think.
