Why the gender imbalance?

    But being a pro requires the following

    You can be affectionate to anyone.
    You are accepting of all races, ages, genders, and sexual orientations.

    There is not enough time nor enough data storage space to list all the unenforceable rules and policies out there. but that is a separate conversation. I believe a pro has the right to choose who she sees. Just like a door dash driver can skip orders (which may not necessarily result in less income believe it or not). I understand why the stated policy is what it is though.
    I have been rejected by pros and I have declined advances by pros. it goes both ways.
    Now someone can be smart about it and say something like "well you have the right not to buy at Home Depot but if you choose to walk in, they cannot deny you", but that's apples and oranges.

    @TheFunCartel sounds good. I think it was just a misunderstanding and I apologize.

    And on the funny part I wasn't totally directing that any one pro and I can understand how that can be taken. Again just saying people in general shouldn't be grouped together as all being any one kind of way.

    Again it's the cis straight male that is a very targeted group nowadays being made to feel that it's wrong to be that way. I don't believe love between consenting adults is wrong regardless of any factor.

  • @TheFunCartel I'm happy to keep talking about this with you and others who are discussing in good faith. The rest I will ignore. (And hopefully the ones discussing in good faith can see the difference between that and no reply because I have nothing to add)

    Except for one thing:

    @YusukeU

    Feel free to start your own thread on this. It doesn't belong here.

    As a woman who has had experiences cuddling with both genders, my answer is really easy. When I cuddle with men, I appreciate their strength, the way our bodies fit together, smelling them (generally male products are scented with muskier and warmer notes). I enjoy the sensation of being wrapped up in someone and muscles and arms and legs that feel different than mine.

    When I cuddle a woman, it does not give me a sense of security, or warmth. The softness is not as welcome a sensation to me as the firmness of a man. I don’t care to do it, and I certainly would never pay to do it.

    I agree with the poster who said if he weren’t single he wouldn’t be here because his partner would meet his needs for touch. That is my feeling as well. I’m here because I don’t want to sleep around with men I’m not married to, but hate sleeping alone. I’m not looking for anything more from the men I meet here because that’s the agreement we make when we sign up. However, that doesn’t mean I’m not looking for a partner in other venues, and this is just a stopgap until I meet him.

  • @SweetlyBlissful A lot of people have said that men and women have different energy. What you said sounds like a more concrete and physical example of that. I've only cuddled women and one masc non-binary, and I admit to not being entirely comfortable with the masc NB yet. I'm hoping that at the upcoming meet & greet, I'll have an opportunity to cuddle with cis men and compare how you feel. I wonder if my experiences will match yours, even if my comfort levels don't.

    I am, at heart, a very tactile and affectionate person. And I'm not good at maintaining deep emotional connections, as one needs in a romantic relationship. To me, cuddling can be part of friendship, but I don't think any single person can really meet my touch needs. Especially sooner or later, I need time away from that person. Just different needs from different backgrounds. Either way, knowing yourself and what you need makes it much easier to get something that you're happy with.

  • @SweetlyBlissful you articulated my thoughts on this very well.

    Some of the earlier posts did make me curious about my prefence. But ultimately my preference are what there are. While a recurring topic, i enjoyed the discussions on this thread.

  • @4cuddles That’s a healthy view of “controversial” threads. There is always something healthy to take away from it.

  • homie the answer is that most men don’t respect or want to interact with things they’re not sexually attracted to.

    👍👍👍

    Deal with it at work all the time. You’re not human to them if you’re not attractive. I’ve had things THROWN AT ME by men at work. But then if I show up dressed up traditionally feminine, they act much differently.

    Yep, noticed that occuring on jobs that I have held in the past and present too! 😊👍

    @bobadevotee

  • I haven’t seen this good of a discussion on here in a long time… I have been rather absent as well thought too.

    I realized I might have some perspective to offer. I want to preface it with stating that I don’t agree with shaming people for their preferences regardless of whether they are socially conditioned or not. (I also believe we are all socially conditioned, I definitely see it in myself)

    I had a discussion on a related topic years ago. Within that I showed some of the evidence that I have seen that shows some of the extent to which men have been conditioned to not be affectionate with other men platonically. Turns out it hasn’t always been this way. Check this out:

    https://www.filmsforaction.org/news/bosom-buddies-a-photo-history-of-male-affection/

    I want to re-state that I’m not trying to shame anyone. This was eye opening for me when I first saw it. Also as a man who is more comfortable with male affection than most men I know, I am still conditioned in a way men didn’t used to be.

    So this is not an excuse to tell men, “you need to change your preferences, you’re conditioned” (not saying that’s what the op did btw 😊)

    But definitely something to keep in mind. Change on this kind of thing is slow and we’ve all been influenced by our conditioning.

  • Oh and here’s a link to the discussion if anyone wants. There’s some other relevant thoughts and discussions to this topic on there.

  • How do you all know what “most men” want to do? Why is a female who constantly has negative things to say about men telling us what most men don’t want to do? What evidence do you have of this other than your one sided point of view?

  • Why is a female who constantly has negative things to say about men telling us what most men don’t want to do?

    Because she is relating her experience and other women on here agreed with her. I think her experience in how she has been treated by men is evidence.

    So that justifies her saying most men behave a certain way? Thats the same logic racists use to trash groups. “I see Black people causing crimes all the time in my city therefore most Black people are criminals “. It’s non sense , it’s a biased view point not based in reality .

    Stop trying to do mental gymnastics over this. She stated her preference as a queer person. Her preference is not the same as spreading racist stereotypes. She is basing what has happened to her—so she avoids cis men. I have chatted with her in DMs before and she is not lobbing hate my way because I do not give her reason to. If I treated her like crap I imagine I would be lumped in as well.

    Does it really bother you that much what her preference is?

  • Because she is relating her experience and other women on here agreed with her. I think her experience in how she has been treated by men is evidence.

    👍👍👍

    @TheFunCartel But ya know, we women are seldom believed about our shared experiences on this sort of thing that we're often accused of "female Hysteria"...So it's clearly ALL "imaginary", our shared experiences and all! 😌😏

    Yes, I am being sarcastic while also agreeing with your comment. 😊👍

    Mental gymnastics? She didn’t say “I believe most men….” she’s making absolute statements as if there is evidence most men behave this way. I know you all have your little click on here and defend each other at all cost but the fact is she’s wrong to say most men behave a certain way based on her personal experience. Maybe most men she has met but that’s not most men.

    Also it’s exactly the same as making a racist statement off personal experience not sure what you don’t get or are you trying to not get it .

  • @Katota Am I speaking to the imaginary Katota? J/K I knew what you are doing and your point is very valid. If a woman on here becomes angry after repeated disrespect by men there always seem to be a bevy of men that shame her, speak of how they are unfairly persecuted, and how their psychic scars have been reopened by her pernicious complaining.

    Funny how men are so tough until a woman voices her displeasure with them.

  • Funny how men are so tough until a woman voices her displeasure with them.

    @TheFunCartel Lol! Funny indeed. 😆

  • Funny how negative experiences a small sample size has means that’s the reality for everyone in the world. They also become the spokes people for every single person in that group. Is that how that works? Are they now speaking for all women on earth based on their personal experience? Because there are plenty of women here that don’t share that experience.

    I was robbed twice by Mexicans in East Oakland therefore now most Mexicans are bad and I have free rein to generalize and trash most of them. Same exact scenario you’re defending.

  • Now I would like to wish a happy weekend to all: To the enlightened ones and also all the miserable pathetic men out there, like yours truly

    @Sooson
    Happy Weekend to You too! 😁🫂

  • What is your call is whether you have the maturity to ignore controversial threads that annoy you or not.

    @SweetlyBlissful well said. Thanks for giving us a guage from your personal experiences.

  • [Deleted User]ExclusivelyHeal (deleted user)

    @Kense agreed, generalizations are never good and that's exactly what she did. You also touched on the elephant in the room, clique culture.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

    @Kense It has been brought up previously that a lot of arguing here could be avoided by the use of the word "some."
    "Some men do this ..."
    "Some women do that ..."
    "Some male cuddlers push boundaries ... some don't."
    When someone is speaking purely from anecdotal experience, it's best to mentally insert the word "some" into what they're saying, since they are obviously referring only to the portion of the population they have encountered. That is what "some" people have learned to do on here.

    Or you can do like I do when I am in the Bay Area and avoid East Oakland.

    But I am disengaging because you are saying she speaks for all women which is an obvious distortion of what I said which was her repeated personal experience with cis men and that other women in this specific agreed with her points. That doesn’t mean all women, nor did I make that claim. Seems like you have a problem with her.

  • I read, walk away, then come back and I’m like y’all still on this 🤣

    @Morpheus It's been, for the most part, an unusually civil conversation for these forums. I think people are struck by the novelty. As Joyful Heart said, no one has to be here who doesn't want to be.
