How do you know?

For me I always see the intent in the eyes.I love eyes as they tell a lot about somebody. Or I also love when you sit beside that person and there is an air of electricity that excites you and all you want to do is engage with that somebody .

Comments

  • I think eyes say so much (including intent) that I would not meet someone without a pic, but some members meet people without ever seeing the eyes or a pic and they say it worked out well for them.

  • What do you think Sammy Davisโ€™ Jrโ€™s glass eye said to people? If he rubbed his eye I think I would have wanted to squirt it with Windex to get rid of the skin oils.

  • @Auxilium
I don't look for electricity, since that sounds more like something one would seek when dating.

I've met people from the site without ever seeing their picture, first. It didn't even occur to me, until I was sitting in the coffee shop, or walking through the park, and realized I didn't know who to look for. We had been talking for months though.

Personally, I don't need a picture to decide if someone has the right intentions; for me it comes across in their behavior, in what they write, what they ask, how they respond to questions, the tone of their voice if we call, etc.

I do ask to see a picture before meeting people, now, but that is for safety purposes. I send it to my safety contact before the cuddle. It has no bearing on whether I decide to cuddle with the person, or not - by the time I would need to ask for a picture, I would already have agreed to cuddle with them. A lot of people think that those who require pictures are doing so to filter out physically "undesirable" cuddlers, but for anyone with ethics, it has nothing to do with looks, and only to do with safety.

Nothing personal, but you talk about ethics and completely miss a big side of it, in my opinion. How can your customers know about your digital policies and your contacts' ones? Who assure them that you and your contacts don't have viruses on your PCs or malicious apps on your smartphone? Are you sure you are not harming their safety giving away their pictures?

The main unethical things I see here:

    • they aren't giving the picture with an informed consent (or do you give them a form to sign saying how the picture would be treated, who will handle it, how, and when it will be deleted? I guess not or it could be not safe for your contacts. By the way, for those not knowing it, files are not usually deleted on disk, they can be "undeleted" unless the position in which they were stored is not overwritten by other data).
    • You are putting your safety before theirs, instead of on the same level.

Again, for the innocent customers, the safety illusion of the picture works fine (unless something happens to them, then I wouldn't want to be sued, personal safety too). But consider that a scammer could modify a picture on purpose to fool you. Or give you a picture of a resembling person, so you can't notice the difference, but have nothing useful if something happens. You are endangering innocent customers' safety without getting any real safety for yourself, please be ethical till the end and consider it.

The only procedure that is safe for both is meeting in a crowded place first (better if with surveillance cameras).

Anyway, congratulations for all the meetings you had without asking pictures, I think it's a great sign of respect and self-confidence!

I don't have any customers; I don't charge for cuddles, I'm an enthusiast. I generally meet people after building a connection or friendship.

I do always meet in public places, with other people around, nearly always in daylight. I never go to anyone's house unless we become very good long-term friends. I only list Public cuddling as an option. Most of my cuddles happen in parks. ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿชป

I do not have any consent form, you are correct. Neither do my cuddle friends have one for me. They could plaster my face onto a nude body and post it on the internet...a consent form couldn't stop them from doing so.

Online security is definitely a very complex and little-known subject, for the general public. Many people don't even realize that reverse image search is a thing. We are all at risk, and a photo being sent to a trusted safety contact is far less of a risk than putting yourself in the way of bodily harm by waltzing out to meet someone and no one having any information to give the police if you disappear.

If any of my friends had an issue sending a photo, we could certainly discuss alternatives. Some feel more comfortable on a video call, but 95% of the time, cuddlers voluntarily send me their picture, if it isn't already posted on their profile.

@Falco I know that you, personally, have a big issue with giving your picture out, but if you have spent any time reading posts by the Pro's here, you already know that it is standard practice to require a photo before meeting, and to send that photo to a safety contact.

If you want to change how the women on this site try to protect themselves, it's going to be a very long, and likely unsuccessful endeavor.

It is 100% your right to adhere to your privacy concerns and refuse to send a photo when requested, but it will very likely limit your cuddle opportunities.

We're all free to follow what policies we feel are necessary for our safety and comfort.

Victim blaming is not tolerated here. -JoyfulHeart

  • But if they happen and a woman is purposely ignoring safety advices, then let me say it's her fault even if those sad things should not happen at all.

For me, I reject everything you said and will say from now on (whether there is any merit or not). This statement alone shows me how little respect you have for women. There is no defense for claiming a victim of ANY rape is on them. ZERO!

  • Yeah, it was pretty obvious early on that he had different views on many things and his views don't help or respect women. Hopefully he will say he is joking and sorry but it will be all right either way. We will know what we need to.

  • A Schrodinger's joke is never actually a joke.

He made it onto my list pretty quickly as well.

  • @IronLemon That is the second time I've seen you mention Schrodinger's joke. I don't know what it is ... but the first time I saw you use it it didn't sound like a joke either.

  • @GuyverGordon A Schrodinger's joke is something that is or is not a joke depending on how people react to it. Most commonly, someone says something demeaning or otherwise offensive, gets called out on it, and then claims they were just joking.

As you saw the other time, he claimed he was joking, then proved he wasn't.

  • Got it @IronLemon ... thanks for the explanation.

  • Heโ€™s been banned for his forum posts in the past, tends to be argumentative and he was allowed to come back.
He was given another chance, and now we sit back and wait for his next bad behavior.

I think the banned hammer will come down before too long. In these cases past performance frequently guarantees future results.

  • @g_w_t_w: it looks like the ban for having said lies about me has not been enough for you... I've said nothing because I'm not like you judge me (without even knowing me), but don't insist or I can publicly add some details of why you got banned. Even my patience is limited.

  • @Falco Don't worry, it's not just her who's judging you.

  • Thank you @IronLemon
This guy has a reputation and many people here have told me of similar experiences from DMs. ๐Ÿ™„

  • @g_w_t_w: oh, maybe it's where you've got confused! My reputation is 5 star and it's even more worth if you consider how many cuddlers there are in my area. ๐Ÿ˜‰

@IronLemon: I don't worry at all! And by the way, remember your statement when somebody non-LGBTQIA+-friendly does the same with you! What good advertising you are giving them! ๐Ÿ˜Š

I don't worry because liars have to help each other to spread lies, truth speaks for itself. ๐Ÿ˜

    @Falco
    @g_w_t_w has never been banned

  • @Falco

And by the way, remember your statement when somebody non-LGBTQIA+-friendly does the same with you!

Nice way to show your true colors. You have only reinforced my opinion of you.

  • @pmvines are you a mod? Thank you for writing, I'll check with the responsible mod why it didn't happen.

  • @IronLemon: you keep reinforcing your wrong opinion of me. I support my local LGBTQIA+ community and I can assure you in this homo/transphobic society in which I live is not easy at all even without finding people like you, let alone if that happens!

lol itโ€™s true, Iโ€™ve never been banned - sorry to disappoint you piano guy. If I hadnโ€™t needed to block you, you would see that.
I think youโ€™re going through a tough time. Best of luck. ๐Ÿค—

  • Just another person trying to speed run his reputation to the grave. Nothing to see here. I'm going back to bed.
