Is anyone addicted to McDs or just me?

I cannot stop eating McDonald's 😭😭, why is it so addicting??? Especially the fries??? Don't get me started with that Big Mac Sauce.

Am I the only one who feels this way?

  • They rig the ratio of sugar, fat and salt in their food to make it addictive. They do it on purpose. Not everyone is as susceptible to it, but many many people are. Including this person.

  • I don’t think I’m necessarily addicted, but I crave a spicy mcchicken often 😩

Yeah not to include they use veggie oil. Everything about it is bad for you.

    McChicken is godly too

    The fries are the best.

  • The coffee is good tho I'm taking a break and switched to BK for a bit

  • It's hard to say no to 2 sausage egg and cheese McMuffins for less than 5 bucks

  • Their chicken nuggets are top tier when they are fresh out of the grease!

The fries are good for 0.38 seconds. They Thanos snaps and they IMMEDIATELY turn into cardboard. There is no in between. 😫

  • I hope you're the only one and i hope you're and anyone else is working to curb that appetite

  • I like their rewards and being able to just redeem free items without buying anything when money is tight 😅

  • I like them ... though maybe we should all just pause on the quarter pounders for the time being (just a news psa)

  • Not even close to addicted. There’s so much non-food additives I get sick after eating there. I get a bellyache every single time.

The only thing even close is in a pinch I’ll grab a sausage egg McMuffin. The irony being the place with the most processed food is the only one that puts real eggs on a breakfast sandwich.

  • I'm not addicted. I like Wendy's and Burger King better for taste. I used to get their large soft drink all the time but that's going up in price. I do love their breakfast as well as the McRib coming back. That's like a total guilty pleasure. Whenever everybody else skyrocketed their rates and then starting offering deals on, the apps they were one of the last ones so I just don't go there as much. I go where the deals are originally. After Covid, it seems like they got pretty greedy. Now I'm hearing complaints about the McRib napping dunked like it used to be. They just put a little bit of sauce on the patty and that's it.

McDs Diet Coke for the win! No food though.

  • If they just have fountain, I'll go with Coke Zero with a splash of Root Beer. If they have the freestyle (which I nickname the "World of Coke") machine I go for the Coke Zero Tropical with a splash of Coke Zero Vanilla.

  • I don’t like their burgers at all, but I can’t deny that the breakfast sandwiches rock hard. Also the nuggs, even if they are made of pink goo. And I know everyone else loves their fries but I prefer thicker and/or flaky fries. A&W probably has the best fries out there

  • My heart is broken cuz I love double quarter pounders

  • It's hard to say no to 2 sausage egg and cheese McMuffins for less than 5 bucks

Any two people here can end up agreeing on something. love this place

  • I was for a very long time. Working hard to fix that now.

Haven't had McDonald's in decades. Used to go to BK until I got food poisoning and haven't been back since.

  • You are addicted because that food was literally engineered to be addictive. I broke my addiction to it back in 2021 and I feel 20 years younger since I gave up ultra processed foods.

  • I asked the dude at the drive-thru what size my fries were because I ordered medium.

    He said, "they're Yuge!"

  • @Sooson
I knew we'd find some common ground

    I can't stand McDonald's.

  • I can relate, enjoy their ice cream 🍦, ketchup and BBQ sauce as well!🎉

  • No. Their food is extremely unhealthy.

No. Maybe it's the cancer, heart disease (and now Alzheimers), auto-immune disorders, or diabetes that stops me from even being able to walk in. Breathing the air in McD's can cause lung cancer. Salt is also hard on every organ in your body. Strokes too. Oil and endophilia don't mix. They're writing songs of love but not for me.

  • Considering their current slivered, onions issues, one might take pause before dining there.

With that said, I do enjoy their half n half teas and Sprites with free microplastics fries 🍟 on occasion.

“Popcorn lung” and endocrine disruptions are my pause for most eateries though.

Food Inc. still plays in my mind when I order fast food on rare occasion.

Mostly I gravitate to Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods and Vegan Co-Ops.

  • McDs saves lives. The boss brought me 2 McDs Diet Cokes this morning, then dropped an email to 3K clients. It's hard to be upset when I'm practically hooked up to a caffeine IV. He's a smart guy!

  • The benefits of the happiness and satisfaction we derive from some food is underrated. No doubt, there is some health benefit in eating the food we love, despite the negligible nutritional value of the food itself.
