Timers

  • Both Pro and Client should be cognizant of the time, with the Pro controlling when to place the stop, but the Client should bear some of the responsibility too. This is a service - there is a financial amount tied to a time, so there really should not be any awkwardness when that clock comes-a-ticking.

  • @lonelytauros that's hilarious πŸ˜† I try to have soft soothing music playing idk if that would fit the vibe

  • I would think it's the pros responsibility just like any other professional service that works with billable hours.
If somebody went over and didn't mention it, then expected payment I don't know if I would pay it, but I definitely wouldn't use them again. There's a reason why they are called the professional. That's what they're getting paid to do. The client usually gets lost in oxytocin whether it's cuddling or massage or similar when touches involved or even therapy because you're deep into opening yourself up and being, vulnerable.

It's been this way with my therapist and if I go over, she doesn't charge. Same when I've gotten a massage and they always tell me when it's done or the lights go on or such. Kind of like at a bar at closing time, lol. When I was younger and used to play laser tag, they would turn off the power and you couldn't play anymore. I remember one time I was visiting a friend in Ohio and the three of us went go karting. Somebody bumped my go kart and I flipped over. They didn't shut down the track. They got me off of it. They made sure I was OK. Everybody else kept driving and loved it. No extra charge. My friends jokingly said I should do it again.

I love the suggestion of music, easy going way of a timer. It also reminds me of a movie. I love that most people hated, which was Hudson Hawk. They would sing a song together to remind them of how long they had Work they were doing.

Back when I first went to a cuddle party or even a professional cuddler, which was a about 11 years ago, they would use time as well and didn't charge if they went over.

There is also an app that is called insight timer. It's free and uses gentle music with a reminder as well as a final tone.

  • I have a device that interferes with timers. Hit me up in DM if interested.

So believe it or not. it appears that a clarification is needed, since i did get a DM.
I DO NOT have a device the disables timers.

I'm just trying to entertain. do I need to tone it down a bit? seriously

  • @Sooson Here I thought your super duper top double secret timer disabling device was your sparkling personality. Guess not!

  • This is a true reenactment on how @Sooson stops it:

  • @starrynitecuds ohh totally forgot about that one. but how do you distribute that to others?

Offer to be the third in double cuddles? πŸ˜†
Oh shoot, I always forget about the paying part.

  • πŸ˜† ground hogs day total classic!

@Sooson this is hilarious! I'm actually impressed that you got a dm. I detected the sarcasm but was genuinely amused.

As for the timer, I would imagine it's a Professional's responsibility. Same as any appointment would be. It's inherent in their fancy nameplate to carry out the duties and responsibilities therein. I.e. a subtle timer, cordial greeting, demeanor, and $ expectations upfront or what have you. As mentioned above, a timed 🎢 playlist has been a nice touch generally.

I shouldn't be depended upon for setting a timer as the paying guest/client of a Cuddling Extraordinaire. However, there is a culpability and implied respect toward the other's time in the agreement. Don't abuse that trust and goodwill.

  • I agree that it's the pros responsibility but a few of my clients have mentioned that a pro has implied that THEY were responsible and I was curious what others were doing.

  • @KittyPukka - I would never see that pro again. I'm paying to get lost in the moment. Not keep track of the clock.

  • @Mike403 agreed. If I'm doing my "job" well you will lose track of time

  • I have an alarm that plays a jazz song. It's not startling just smooth jazz

  • Oooooooo! That's a wonderful idea @KittyPukka πŸ’‘πŸ™‚
That way it's not breaking the vibe and/or ruining the calming experience of the snuggle.

And I agree, it's my job to keep track of time....and it we go over, it's usually because we were in a moment and I didn't want to break it πŸ€— And it's fine with me, I never ask for more if that happens. I'm just so glad we got to vibe so deeply. ☺️🦊😌

So many of my cuddle friends are out of towners so when we do get together it's usually for the night or weekend or longer if we road trip or something together. By then there's no need for a timer as we are both ready to have our own space πŸ˜‚

  • Snoring can be a good timer reminder. "You snore, I'm out!"

  • Or gas ive been known to wake up people from a dead sleep with slumber farts

As an Enthusiast, I don't use timers but I do manage time by how many movies we watch while cuddling.😊

I do offer overnight stays for cuddlers that are visiting from afar, but only one brave and reliable cuddler has done that with Me so far!☝️😁

@pmvines Thank you for being THAT ONE brave and reliable cuddler!😁

    πŸ«‚πŸ’œπŸ˜Š

  • Pro is responsible. I set a timer that plays beautiful music for five minutes until session end, then we chat and hug again before I walk my clients outside. πŸ’œ

  • @Katota Would definitely take you up on that*, have done it with a far away cuddler before.

    *Meat/charcuterie required

@interalia626 Oh yeah? Well that would awesome, if ever you're heading down South let me know and perhaps we can work something out.πŸ˜πŸ«‚

    Lol! 😁 But of course...πŸ˜πŸ–πŸ«‚πŸ‘

  • @Sooson i actually do have a device that interferes with most timers. Size is a factor but a hammer usually makes them stop working. I wouldn't recommend, it's noisy can cause a mess and usually ruins the mood. But a glass of water works in manny cases. Drop a phone in a glass of water and the usually don't notice until well after the cuddleverse is supposed to have ended. Depending on how you do it you may be able to pull it off 2 times.

    @ReltvlyCanshes But! πŸ’‘β˜οΈπŸ˜

What if said timer is on the microwave or the stove? Huh? πŸ€”πŸ˜‰πŸ˜€

    πŸ˜†

  • Hammer still works

  • @ReltvlyCanshes πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜† Well I see A LOT of newly purchased microwaves and stoves in your future!πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

  • @Katota I'm usually the one who wants to skidaddel to be honest.

  • I tried cuddling without a timer the first few times. Then someone booked me for an hour and by the time I looked at my phone, it had been almost 2 hours. Ever since then, I turn my alarms/timers on before I enter the place we’re cuddling. Since I’m booked for a specific time, the timer is set for that specific time.

  • I like to ask my client if setting a timer for a 10 minute warning suits them. That way I don’t have to touch my phone at all during the session. Then we can choose a final position and hug it out, or talk about extending the session or have time to get changed or whatever. And if the cuddles are like they are supposed to be the time does tend to fly.
