The most memorable hike I ever took was Knife's Edge Trail along the summit ridge of Mt. Katahdin in Maine. On the way up I saw a family of meese, mooses, moosen.
@JoyfulHeart that sounds like a notable hike indeed!
The last time I took a real hike was in Vegas about 2022. I did a bit in Res Rock Canyon.
Recently I walked through the botanic gardens. That was rough for me.
I love hiking or trail biking.
In 2002 I backpacked the Pacific Crest Trail from Lake Alpine in Northern California to Yosemite Valley with my then wife. 21 days from start to finish. One of the great adventures of my life. We had too many bears the first few nights so we switched cooking meals to lunch time and snacked for dinner. Problem solved. Caught some really nice trout a few times. Scenery was breath taking. We thought we were doing great until we met a couple who started the trail in Mexico and were headed to Canada. A four month trip for them.
Iām down for Louisville
@shecuddless YESSSS! I'm visiting Louisville in about two weeks - I'll message ya š
@Bear I bet Vegas has epic hiking ! @gem7 that is wild!! Definitely sounds like an adventure though!!
I love hiking and would love to join you, but Iām a little too far north. Lots of trails around western Connecticut I enjoy hiking. My favorites are around the northwest part of the state.
Love hiking! Last month I hike a long segment of the Presidential Traverse in New Hampshire during the autumn leaf season. It was in full color!
@JoyfulHeart , Katahdin is an awesome hike, The Knifes Edge, a classic
I did a mountain in Bali, will have to look up the name. Let's just say I didn't think I could, infact had I seen it first during the day time, I wouldn't have been able to. Still so proud of my wobbly legs & grateful for my friend's encouragement & jibing.
