@sillysassy yes I totally agree with this yesterday I went to the bank to go cash a five dollar check and I saw a homeless guy waiting outside asking people for a dollar. I showed him my check and told him it was for five dollars but when I cash it, I’d give him a dollar but he felt sorry for me because the check amount was so low and started talking to me about how things used to be, and I felt really happy that he actually initiated the conversation with me because I could tell that he could relate to me like one broke guy to another and he asked me. Oh do you get paid on the first you know with your SSI I told him no I still work full-time but yeah I do get paid on the first. This was one of the happiest moments I’ve had in a long time since I was sold a senior citizen movie ticket when I saw Rambo last blood.

I was thinking today of how the snowy season gives me hope of a "fresh start" for the most part. Whether it was generated by the idea of a New Year and new goals, or as a farmer it was finally when it was time to put the tractors away and work on inside stuff, maybe just because the snowy days gave me more time to reflect on my life and things around me because I couldn't play outside as much, or the all around feeling of closing the book on that part of my world because of starting a new chapter with the change of the calendar year.... I'm not sure.
What I thought was so beautiful in the "Let it Snow" thread was how the images of white snow covering everything gave such a sense of peace. Clean lines. A clean slate or empty canvas. It was a little vague what was underneath and so my perspective pulled back a little from all of the details.
It reminded me that we get to choose every day what our lives are going to look like because of our internal reaction to the external world we live in. I love when the outside nature gives me a little nudge and reframing showing me that I don't have to keep doing what I am doing. I can change the story. I choose to be the only one holding the pen of my life's work.
Its fun to have a community to share things with. Celebrations, heartaches, health challenges and surprises, connections, milestones, inner relflections. ALL THE THINGS! So even if this is just going out into the void, I am grateful to have a space to co-create with some amazing humans. 🌈🦋🌞💗✨

I know we are all not the same. I know how we were raised and socialized is most probably VASTLY different from each other, but maybe some of you can relate.
I was thinking about the idea (from some of our youth bedtime stories) we were told about Goldilocks…. “This one is too hot. This one is too cold. But THIS one is JUST RIGHT “ It made me think that there was always ONE KIND of just right. It wasn’t until I was an adult that I had clarity that everyone’s “just right” can look very different.
The best part about this awareness also brings in the idea of REFRAMING. Sometimes it is our own internal dialogue that can change our experience of a thing. And… we get to change our inner dialogue. It’s really the only thing we do have any control over.
“Live the way that feels true to YOUR heart” This came across my feed and I love it.
