I'm grieved some one lost a husband, and father. I also grieved for George Floyd and took the time to watch for myself every minute of body cam. Both caused me to grieve. Can you imagine, looking at the Christmas table and seeing an empty chair, some on that belongs is now gone. Be it George’s chair or Brian’s - we loose people every day for reasons we should not. I hope you never experience that.

With that said, killing is never an answer to anything and usually just leads to more killing. And with killing there is collateral damage—innocent families, parents, and friends become enduring victims. There is no sense in prioritizing what murder is better than another—they are all wrong.

Politics is complicated. I learn about candidates and split my votes among the parties. I view scrutinized local differently than national.
If you only vote for the top of the ticket do you even care?
I'm not sure it's wise to vote based on one policy. You can say and support that each party has positive intent just as easily as you can say and support that the parties want to harm someone else.
I totally get that the priorities of what is being voted for are not equal. One year, the economy is less important, another year more. Local government may need to support one thing that's less important as a priority nationally.
In my experience, people who vote solely on one issue and don't move have a real hard time with empathy. My vote is fluid; we live in a world of constant change.
The phrase “scarry to be a women”, I'm not sure what your view is, but promise there are women that disagree with you and its more than a few. The women who no longer has choice over a pregnancy, or the women who’s competing against biological males. Should we be scared for both, neither?
What maybe right for YOU today may not be right for ME. And that's okay. I may change to your view. You may change to mine. Its shameful for individuals or parties to make these wide brush stokes that makes less of an opposing view. I want you to do what is right for YOU. I don't expect you to what is right for me. @IronLemon I value all life, period. So yes, agree to disagree. I even value those who disagree with me. I value YOU. I've been lucky. If you knew me, you'd know that. I wish everyone had that same type of luck.
Also, I don't blame private health insurance. It operates without regulations.
The government discourages free enterprise in health insurance. It's way more complicated than it should be. So it becomes harder to fix. The Affordable Care Act, which does a lot of good, did not do enough to influence how carriers operate. State exchanges versus national exchanges, for instance. It was thought about it, but cold feet happened when “big healthcare” started lobbying. An option that mimics medicare / Medicaid from the private sector was even talked about. Government has yet to go after price gouging. It made some great advances but fell short in other areas.
Consider that all health insurance companies had to accept preexisting coverage. This is GREAT! But prior to this, one company could not do what they wanted. They would price themselves out of the market. With ALL carriers having to do this, it actually allowed all carriers to make more profit. Preexisting coverage was acceptable to health care because ALL could make more money—a basic right for a for-profit company.
Until Uncle Sam cleans up health insurance, and pharma the situation does not change. You can hate the situation for sure.

I can honestly say I strongly dislike all of 2 people in my life, my entire life. I'm bitter. I'm bitter because of the personal harm these two people have done to me. I don't hate them, I don't wish ill will on their families. If I see them, I turn around and walk away.
Also… employers pick the health plans their employees get. The employer decides if a domestic partner is covered or only a spouse. The insurance carrier wants more things to be covered, which raises premiums. Employers decide what will and will not be covered more than the carriers if you're on an employer-sponsored plan.
If someone uses the exchange, they are stuck with what they can afford.
