Meet & Greet Location Inquiries

edited December 2024 in General

Hi all, since I have noticed an influx in inquiries regarding meet & greets, I'd like to give a reminder to use the Megathread for this:

If someone if looking to find out if one is going to be in their area, use that megathread. Otherwise I'll move them to the Cuddle Requests forum. Thank you!

  • Can we make a new forum for that? I never really look at the Cuddle Requests forum. When I do, most of them don't even mention where they are.

I don’t think so (I am pretty sure I had asked that before), though I can double check. The ones that are a go would remain in the General forum and I sticky those for easy access.

  • That's less bad. What happened to the meet & greet megathread?

  • I still see it in the general forum, which is where these planning posts usually go.

  • Maybe this will get more people looking in the cuddle requests forum πŸ˜…

  • Edited my post to include the megathread link

  • Can it be stickied if not already please

  • Yeah I had done that when I updated my post

  • Sweet thanks Mr Bear

    🧸☺️

  • @CharlieBear It was mentioned there are rules for Meet & Greets, cuddle parties, etc. Do you have a link to them?

  • @starrynitecuds it's under the Forum Rules Sticky.

The biggest problem with moving meetups to the normal cuddle request forum if it's free to attend and open to everyone, including pros, is that only enthusiasts can comment. I went to comment and couldn't. I don't think even the OP can comment on the cruise meet and greet now but I may be wrong.

    Forum Rules & Your Moderators

Here is a comment from Mark in the forum rules:

The team have recently discussed the subject of community events and have arrived at the guidelines below.

    Event outreach on the forum:

Is allowed via a new thread.
We may move it to the 'Requests' forum if we think it's motivated by self-promotion or a business agenda.
Event outreach via private message is allowed if:

A selective approach is attempted. Think carefully about whether the recipient is likely to appreciate your message.
Not sent from a Pro if the event has a financial element involved.
No links to payment pages until a recipient is aware of that aspect and still expressed interest.
In any case, event outreach is at our discretion and we will assess on a case-by-case basis.

  • @LadyVel great information, thank you! I didn't know Pros couldn't comment in that section.

@CharlieBear thank you. I thought there was some huge laundry-style list of rules I missed. I'm contemplating a local enthusiast-only meet and greet, so no pressure to cuddle for anyone.
