Frisky Clients

With all of the online resources available for paid hookups, why do you think people try and solicit people from a platonic cuddling website to do more?

It confuses me why someone would expose themselves to rejection by pursuing someone here when they could be on the same page from the start with someone from another site. Why waste the time and effort?

  • Do you think they are getting rejected often? Serious question. Does anyone ever wonder am i the only one? I've started thinking that it's me and like 12 of the 30 or so regular contributors in the forums that aren't in in the fun. 🤷🏾‍♂️

But the other part of the question is easy, it provides a level of deniability for both parties, it discourages a certain recklessness that can be with the other sites. There is someone watching on this site so those that choose to do it here have to be a little more careful at least for appearances.

  • From what I have seen as a moderator, off the top of my head, any combination of these:

    • They think someone agreeing to cuddle means that person wants to have sex with them.
    • They have not had success on dating apps so find it easier to hire a pro and try to push boundaries.
    • They are very cheap and do not wish to pay for an escort.
    • They are worried about breaking the law by hiring an escort so they look here to find someone to force themselves on to.
    • They have found escorts masquerading as pros and now think that is what all pros offer.
    • They enjoy preying on people by pushing boundaries where they assume the person will give less resistance.
    • They are outright dangerous and are looking to harm someone just for the thrill of it.
    • They think they are on a mission from whatever deity they worship to eradicate the world of what they believe to be wicked, completely ignoring how disgusting their own behavior is.

Some (men especially?) love the challenge to push boundaries, the success is like a trophy? Some have more aggression, choose not to or aren’t mature enough to control themselves.
And might be cheaper than paying a SW?
There are many threads about this here if you want to search posts.

1st of all they are cheap. They’d rather take a $100 gamble versus actually paying a SW what they’re worth.

Secondly, it’s a challenge and also control. Let me see if I can steam roll all someone’s boundaries and weasel my way into a hookup.

Third is whoreaphobia. SWs are seen as dirty or low class. So people are less likely to seek out their services.

  • I'm not sure this is cheaper than most sw. I know some charge high prices it advertise it but i wouldn't doubt the prices are damn near the same. Actually a certain SW that was on here said she made more here. I don't have anymore details than that so I'm not sure. I also am not sure how many ladies on here aren't looking for hook ups as much as guys. Men just ain't complaining about it because they aren't pretending they are not down for it. It's not really a boundary if the line is built with yarn rather than barbed wire.

  • Not that I would hire one, but some people (like me) would have absolutely no clue how to go about hiring a SW other than to travel to somewhere that it's legal. I suppose if one sets their mind to it, one could find out, but then it's a lot of work. Plus, with the plethora of women getting banned here (no clue as to why), one might assume there are a lot of SW who slip through the cracks.

  • I have a curiosity for these things so when the opportunity arises i ask a lot of questions. I a k so ran into to these places around the same time i discovered CC, many of them were also advertised as cuddle sites.

  • @CharlieBear nailed it.

Sexual abuse is about power, not attraction, or overwhelming horniness, or even loneliness. The only correlation between sexual abuse and rejection is the ways the person who got rejected internalized that as a lack of power and control.
Even in less obviously violent and aggressive cases, men (and people in general) that break consent and use sites like this that are clearly not about or for sex to try and get sex believe on some level that they deserve sex and attention, and that they should be able to get it on demand so they lash out when they are proven wrong.

Everything from a wandering hand or a sneaky hump or grind to a full on violent attack always comes down to power.

Do they get the cuddling and caring from SWs?
IDK but seems like you guys know a lot about this, lol.

  • @g_w_t_w Generally not, no, but again the whole reason why isn't really about nonsexual benefits or even sexual attraction really.
Some people may find sadistic enjoyment in the specific abuse of causing someone sweet and caring harm, but in most cases the cuddles are just a means to an end, an obstacle to get past in order to do the abuse, as opposed to a plus.

  • I've been an here awhile I've learned a lot

Some people here for all sorts of reasons seem to ignore the fact that the supply side is also currupt, not only the demand side. Plenty of women get banned regularly , pro and non pro

  • And plenty do not get banned

  • Several years ago I read a disturbing book that MAY relate to why a FEW clients come here to push boundaries rather than going to a non-platonic site in the first place.

The TLDR version is that there are some truly evil people in the world.

  • @Runawaycuddles
    Basically what I said.

I am going to speak only for myself and not for others’ intentions. There is no psychological rule that a person cannot enjoy both platonic cuddles AND possibly something more.
I think there is an ambiguity within the original question that should be addressed. The title mentioned “clients”, which implies professional cuddling dynamics, but the body of the question was unclear as to the entire scope of the question.
I want to point out that the professional terms of service are not expressly required of social cuddlers.
Another thing I want to point out is that solicitation is not “forcing on someone else” (certainly not if any denial is respected).

  • Sigh. It didn't take long for the first whatabout.

When dealing with big, complex problems, it helps to break them down to smaller, simpler products. When dealing with two similar problems, deal with the larger, more visible problem first. Often, dealing with the large problem also deals with the small problem. Shifting the blame so you can deal with the smaller problem accomplishes nothing.

Humans are this fun amalgamation of prey, scavenger, and predator.

We are social creatures with individual egos.

We are bundles of chemical reactions that we have little to no control over, but we are conscious of that, and have memories.

It comes down to random chance with the barest whisper of self-control and a hint of self-awareness.

  • Here's my 2 cents:
    1. Free membership here. And free to contact a pro.
    2. They may have clicked over to here from a mention on a non platonic website.
    3. They may have clicked over from a non platonic profile on another site, like IG, X or Facebook.
    4. They don't know what the word "platonic" means, they honestly believe it's synonymous with FWB.

  • @starrynitecuds
All good points but as far as the word Platonic, I would imagine most adults know the meaning but choose to make their own rules.

  • I’ve also heard some men say they feel they’re less likely to catch a disease here because the women are less likely to be giving it up to everyone. And they aren’t even interested in the obvious sex workers on the site. They’d rather convince a platonic cuddler to do more.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

I would also suggest it's the lure of the forbidden. They do it here because they know they aren't supposed to. Breaking the rules is the fun part for them. Just going to a sex worker site and hiring one wouldn't bring the same satisfaction.

  • @sage91436 That seems like a self-defeating argument.

    TW: SA

Unless they're talking about coercion and rape.

  • @IronLemon I’ve heard many pros talk about how they froze in fear when something was tried. Some say no and the guy says ok and keeps trying. Some are fearful of reporting because they host out of their own home. Some purely enjoy pushing. Boundaries and hearing no more than they do one of the girls saying yes. I personally had a client when I started this in Florida tell me “but all the other girls let me” so I said why would you repeat book me? then he said “I get more enjoyment out of hearing you say no then them just hun hang in”

  • I wish gym classes taught things like self-defense instead of useless things like football and basketball. Maybe there'd be fewer men eager to pressure women if women instinctively reacted by inflicting pain rather than freezing in fear.

I’ve been lurking on the degen male forums where they discuss pursuing cuddlers for non platonic. It’s quite amusing when they get bitter about not receiving non platonic contact. They do it for the rush.

  • edited December 2024

They also discuss situations where the pursuing was successful, or situations where no pursuing was even needed. but go ahead, share selectively.

  • These men who prey on cuddlers are nothing more than perverse sex addicts—straight-up depraved horndogs gambling on the slimmest chance that a cuddler might throw them a crumb of affection. Their behavior isn’t just inappropriate; it’s deeply disrespectful and exploitative, showing a complete disregard for the emotional labor and vulnerability that cuddlers bring to their work. It’s a selfish pursuit fueled by entitlement and a lack of self-control, making them a real problem in this space that should be focused on healing, comfort, and genuine connection.

  • @g_w_t_w I've asked 12 people in the past 4 hours if they know what platonic means. (Ages 18-55.) "That means friends with benefits, right?" was the most common answer at 5 people.
Only 3 people got it right, ages 20, 34 and 36.
Casual dating was another answer with 2. And 2 didn't know what it meant at all, including a 55 year old man.

    12 participants: 11 men, 1 woman.
7 people have college degrees or are currently in college, all 3 who got it right were in this group, including the 1 woman.
5 have no college, but graduated HS.

It was an interesting topic for our holiday lunch.

  • @sage91436 Have you reported the person? and was any action taken against them? how was he even a repeat?
