I imagine Life as a Cuddle PRO is not always a "walk in the park!"

Recently, I have been pleasantly surprised by the receipt of IMs from Cuddle Professionals that I would have normally thought would have reached out to me with no real expectation other to say "hi" or to comment about something I have said in forum or was written my profile! These encounters have reinforced my generally very positive experience with the community and made me reflect on how hard their job really can be! I absolutely hate the times I've seen the comments degrading the talent it takes to be successful. Maybe you can survive on a smile and simply hugging someone then driving to the bank after a Cuddle session to deposit the money but I recognize much more is involved. Simply looking cute will not cut it for long.You can't show up to a session having a "bad day." You can pretend to enjoy a session but the clients you are working with will quickly be able to determine if a relationship is genuine! I would imagine a great memory would be important as everyone wants to be valued. I imagine the job requires staying up to speed on current affairs, being well versed on different cultures, and a decent level of intelligence! All I really know is your job takes some amazing skill sets and is no "walk in the park!

    It’s a real job, there is a lot to it like marketing, renting space, business license, insurance, supplies like linens. We pay taxes! Please treat us as professionals like you would your dentist or other specialized service provider.

    Sorry, but now you must start an individual thread about how each and every vocation has its share of pitfalls because we can't say too many positive things about cuddle pros without upsetting the curmudgeons

    I'm not a professional cuddler, but as a client, I can say it's certainly true that you can't have a bad day. The client will pick up on that. Cuddling someone is not primarily physical. It's primarily emotional and energetic. So your emotional and energetic state has to be right for the job. And that's not easy to do.

    The forums feel like a Microsoft teams chat, where only one department can possibly earn a wage but the other departments are unsure of each other and may have fantastic or terrible interactions depending on how one presents and engages.

    With that said, there are so many amazing wonderful quality human members on here who provide a wealth of information and helpful lessons from their own experiences in the FAQs and forums to assist those who may be having difficulty communicating, reaching out, or understanding one another. Thank you 😊

    Proactively being kind, polite, and validating all of us by demonstrating your true concern and support that you do not discriminate against any other human beings for the actual job or jobs that they use to provide for themselves and their families.

    Seeing healing curiosity, engagement and genuine caring companionship in all members is paramount to understanding and promoting a healing growth journey for us all.

    While there still remains lots of negativity and anti-Pro loathing abhorrence in the forums it’s understandable how confusing and tumultuous that must be personally, spiritually, mentally and physically to see someone’s life or job is a different path than they would choose to have and it creates great disturbance in their hearts. ❤️‍🩹 there are only so many ways to vocalize or present these views & emotions.

    One of my favorite quotes when I started is from another pro and it’s actually in the FAQ somewhere.

    I shudder to think of how many times a day a Pro Cuddler has to reinforce what IS NOT offered. I bet dealing with that alone can make someone wonder if it's worth it.

    Most people can't do it, it's just too tough. The dropout rate is very high. It's an unpleasant job most of the time .... except when you're with a respectful client.

    @sunshine---that's a truly wonderful post---i'd like to think you have enough positive experiences that its makes everything worthwhile---if fact have you or others encountered an experience where you thought about quiting but a unique Client interaction reaffirmed the reason you are here in the first place and you stayed--i.e I think I brought a PRO a stale cookie not time and it made her happy

    @dennis22554 thank you for the perspective shift some people can really use 😊 every positive comment is a seed planted.

    @BlueWanderer firm boundaries can be hard for many people having been socially conditioned it is their "job" is to prop up others. This role definitely means a pro MUST hold space for their clients and enough respect for themselves to not compromise their integrity.

    @Mare_Bear ughhh, all the financial logistics! 🤣I love when I explain all the backend costs to run my business and people are shocked at the percentage of a session cost that is my "take home pay" when they do the math because it is all cash, right?! That doesn't even include health insurance or retirement benefits 😉
