Showering 😏

[Deleted User]donhulio (deleted user)

No, this is not a sleazy post about showering together during cuddling. 😉

I have always enjoyed the feeling of a nice warm shower, especially with a large "rain" style shower head. I was thinking about this today and wondering if those of us whose love language is physical touch are more inclined to enjoy showering? It is warm (if you're not one of those crazy people who likes cold shower and ice baths 😅) and provides a somewhat enveloping feeling, not entirely unlike cuddling (though still far inferior).

  • There's this "spa" that provides like a shower massage that I've seen on social media and tbh I'd totally love to experience it. 🤷 It seems like a nice hybrid that looks super calming

I wonder if that's anything like the "massage" setting that some shower heads have? I've never really liked those, they always feel too harsh and feel nothing like a good massage 🤔

Sorry but I’m just getting so tired of utterly “rubbish list” topics like this on these message boards. I realize not every misc topic will be of interest to every person, or even be about cuddling, but are we really gonna have a discussion about who enjoys a shower? Come on man can we please put the crayons away, take the bar off the floor and raise it just a little bit? Seriously.

  • Amazing...I have no issue with the topic given it was respectfully presented..no reason to be so judgemental.

  • @WestsideMarc this was a great opportunity to just let people do what they enjoy and say nothing. While I'm not interested in in this subject it is much more interesting than what normally goes on in here. Unless you felt you were adding to the conversation, but I'm pretty sure you didn't.

@dennis22554 listen Dennis I’m not gonna get into another CC battle with you. Respectful is irrelevant. You can have a respectful post about red apples v green but it’s still the same “rubbish post” as CC states and is even a violation of the TOS. I’m not trying to make a federal case out of it. I’m just trying to make a point.

You used to be the king of these kinds of posts and after enough warnings and timeouts, you finally learned your lesson and improved and even made posts about that too. So thank you for that, you deserve credit. I’m just trying to prevent more of the same. Not trying to be mean or hurtful I’m just trying to keep it real.

If this is the standard we’re setting, perhaps I’ll make a post about who likes eating food? Does anyone here like oxygen? Waxed v unwaxed floss. Favorite font? Isn’t ironing a drag? Comedians can be funny. Generally speaking women wear their hair longer than men. I’ll bow out now. Have a great night…….

@WestsideMarc If you have an issue with the topic, flag it.

  • I get the sentiment from Marc
but as I think about the topic, because I’m feeling talkative tonight, I have to say if you have really thick hair like me, a rain head shower doesn’t work.

  • I am a sensory seeking person. Once I get in the shower, it's hard for me to finish and get out. I enjoy the feeling of the hundreds of tiny warm impacts against my skin every second. Especially with a massaging shower head, with its different settings and able to actually properly hit the lower back and other places with tight muscles. Much different from being outside in the rain, because it's a good temperature and I'm not wearing my glasses.

  • I can proudly say I have never made rude post. having survived a stroke and multiple brain seizures stupid mabe but it's all in the eye of the beholder....back to listening to the band

  • I knew this topic had the potential to be an interesting topic

  • Wow @donhulio, this went south quick, didn't it? Lol. I have to say you pose an interesting question. I have no idea what my love language is and I agree with @IronLemon - it is hard for me to get out -but I've always looked at it as an ADD thing. Being in the shower is a great way for me to relax and center my thoughts..... much like I've found with really good cuddling. In a pinch it can be a substitute, but it's nothing like the real deal.

    @kittypukka I must learn more!!!

I have no bone to pick with you , but I gotta say that sometimes you have a habit of espousing how peppy and positive you are while criticizing other people for not doing the same. People are multidimensional and just because they may not insert your same point of view into everything doesn't mean they are doing something wrong or being judgmental negative or rude. Constantly pointing out how positive you are and how people who don't share in that are being judgmental is, well, judgmental. Just a thought ...

As for showers, I love me a long hot one for sure especially when my back is sore

Wow, I genuinely love people! I love the people that start bullshit threads, and I love the people who have the balls enough to call the bullshit! 😅
Seriously, I'm not angry at all! 💗 Much love, you guys; bickering like a bunch of bros... And, Dennis, I love you too...but you are kinda low-key pretentious quite often😅

  • [Deleted User]ArtandNature (deleted user)

And Vines: I see ya looking, but no, there'll be no "sugaring" in your future...at least not from me!😅

All y'all are on my list, and I'll get to you in turn💗

  • @WestsideMarc - What is with you constantly derailing threads that you don't like? Just ignore them. Just because it is a topic you have no interest in doesn't make it a rubbish post.

I don't know if this is considered a rubbish post or not, so I am just going to comment and leave the flag open for another mod to take action or dismiss. I love to take showers and I have one of those big rain shower heads; definitely recommended. They are kind of hard to purchase here in California since there seems to be some sort of regulation on water pressure. Most of the ones on amazon cannot be shipped here as a result. But I did manage to get one from there and it's awesome, though the nubs where the water comes out need to be unclogged every once in a while since there is calcium build up (or something).

  • Meanwhile I'm over here thinking I should definitely get a new shower head.

  • I like the 360deg shower heads ! Hits all the spots.

  • @CharlieBear I installed a good water filtration/softening system in my home and calcium/mineral deposit issues went away. They bring a lot of other good benefits too for the life of your piping and appliances which use the water.

  • I think it’s super therapeutic to just lay under the water, letting it massage my forehead and with how thick my hair is, it always needs a good soaking. (I don’t think there’s anything wrong with this topic…)

  • To be fair, I have started threads dedicated to cheese, asked if breathing was still a good thing, and about poops (the poops thread was closed to my y dismay, the other two mentioned still exist)

  • What?? Showering together before your cuddle is sleazy and (to save water) is against the rules???

  • I’ve found a correlation among folks who have unfortunately suffered strokes, TBI, etc. and their ideology.

@pmvines I fell in the shower once and almost died.

  • Amazing and funny

  • Showers are amazing

  • I've bathed and showered a variety of individuals as a caregiver. Some clients are very very grateful and I've found other caregivers find it challenging. My takeaway is that showers are very enjoyable and being clean is something all of us usually get to do everyday. The people that I'm helping don't get to do it everyday but it's just a basic thing. No big deal to help them do it safely if they can't themselves.

  • All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the shower.

  • Hi@pmmvines...my last comment Was Not directed at you...my sincere apologies for any potential misunderstanding....falling in a shower..especially backwards is a terrifying event...im glad your ok!
