So I have a weird relationship with showers. I often will delay taking a shower until I need to get ready for something (I do shower daily though) and just procrastinate getting in. So I think maybe the effort of getting in makes me just want to lay down or do something else. However once I'm in, I don't want to get out. I like them nice and warm and let the steam clear things out. I do a lot of thinking, reflecting, and praying in the shower.
@CSnMUS87 Are you neurodivergent?
I think most people don't realize just how many steps are involved in taking a shower.
I haven’t found showers to be as comforting as talked about. I’ve been in a hot tub with the jets on, and I find that much more physically soothing on my body.
Flagged. Removing comment. [CharlieBear]
Wow . You're so alpha
I like the bit about censoring. Especially for someone who is not long for this site.
I love showers and baths (once I’m all showered and cleaned the tub afterward). Unfortunately, my water tank doesn’t hold enough water to take crazy long showers, so either the temperature or the time evicts me out significantly sooner than I’d like some days.
Where did I put that ban hammer.
@TheFunCartel At least he's finally allowed to take a shower.
I'm waiting for the lecture from community members about political posts, or does that only happen when you post an anti trump meme ?
Uh-Oh
Every self-declared alpha (cf Rogan and Andrew Tate) is not one. Based on history of timeouts and bans, the self-declared alphas are first in line because they want to ignore the TOS and forum rules because they somehow think their little flaccid ideology makes them superior. Newsflash: no one is impressed. Your fate awaits, "alpha."
As someone who occasionally throws around some harsh words, I am impressed by "little flaccid ideology". I'm gonna have to remember that one!
@MichaelFrederic please share more of your opinions they're great reading
Too much estrogen
@pmvines If you've got any extra, I'll gladly take it.
Would that make me more alpha ?
Oh dear. 🙄 bring back the H2O
@pmvines I'd beta hundred bucks.
@Cuddlesofcuddle Yes ma'am here is some H20 they are also rather alpha
Holy cow, you leave for five minutes and the thread escalates wildly
People like that are why I go out into public as little as possible.
I’d be open to this for a small additional fee 🤷🏽♂️
@CharlesGrove See for me, people like that are why I go out into public more often. You can't have only idiots running the streets. And once they realize you aren't afraid of their rhetoric, or challenge them with intelligence, they usually shut up and walk away. I may have painted toenails and wear pink but I'll still choke slam you and sleep with your girl
@IronLemon wow you could tell? I was debating on putting it on my profile or making a post about it but I didn't want to make a whole thread for just that. But yes in recent years I was diagnosed with high functioning autism. Didn't know most of my life until my 30s. I usually just tell people in person eventually but I feel it's safe to say so here. I always suspected something though since I've never been seen as normal to others. I actually appreciate you asking.
Yeah showers are a lot of steps, and I probably add extra steps that make mine take longer than most people.
How did a thread about showers become political? Lol All I'll say is I feel for my fellow Colombians.
Nobody is censoring us? Let’s see how quickly the mods censor that comment.
Also, I don’t care what any of ya’ll say, showers are good.
It's funny because I thought it was common knowledge.
From a quick search: "The First Amendment right to free speech generally protects private speech from governmental restrictions. It doesn’t protect against speech restrictions imposed by private entities.
Social media sites are generally owned and operated by private companies. As a result, they’re not bound by the First Amendment. Accordingly, any regulations they may impose on speech are not subject to First Amendment protections."

@CSnMUS87 It's a particular pattern I've noticed. I don't know if it's more of an autistic or ADHD trait, but a lot of us have trouble starting things like showers. And that's not even including people with sensory issues that make showers tough.
I prefer baths! 🛀😁
