Almost daily I see messages where A CC Members are experiencing loneliness trying to meet other members and/or just having a rough time! tIn response, I would like to propose a potential solution that not only impacts the life of a lonely member, it has the potential to bring happiness to the lives of many more. I briefly lived in Johnstown, PA whose claim to fame was the “great flood”—and “notoriety” as the loneliest place in the country for women.” to live. I arrived in late December quickly noting a number of dogs tied up in the cold. I later learned from Habitat for Hounds, an organization that builds dog houses for dogs without shelter delivering them for free all Winter that a lot of people just leave dogs out over the Winter and if they freeze to death–oh well–they would just get a new dog for the following year. It was a wonderful organization that still exists today. Therefore my suggestion is,why not volunteer your time at an animal rescue group like the one I mentioned == or some other group while maintaining your ongoing CC search. I can not even begin to describe the happiness it brings to your life and the dogs/animals you're saving. Please feel free to suggest other wonderful animal rescue groups—I am sure they would all welcome the help and who Knows—-maybe it will expedite your own search!
