People! I just realized I was a victim of attempted assault/robbery/murder last night. And I'm not being dramatic.
Someone must have spiked my drink at a karaoke bar last night, while I was in the restroom, or while I was singing karaoke!
Two standard drinks are not enough to seriously eff me up, not even close. It's maybe enough to get me a little tipsy.
When I left the karaoke bar, I still thought I was ok and drove off.
Shortly after I parked, I blacked out in my parked car completely without warning and then woke up three hours later with a nasty headache and severe nausea. There is no way I would have been that effed up from the alcohol alone.
I have blacked out in my parked car in the past, but it was totally different. When it happened in the past, it was from severe exhaustion; thus, it was not without warning, because I was already feeling drowsy. And when I would wake up, sometimes hours later, I would still be exhausted, but not sick. But blacking out without warning, and waking up hours later feeling ill, this has never happened before.
The reason it's attempted murder is because it could very easily have gotten not only me but several people killed. That would at the very least qualify as attempted manslaughter. When you're drugged, you don't have control over when you black out. It happens suddenly and without warning. If I had been just 5 minutes later, and blacked out while I was driving on the freeway, I would almost certainly have been in a fatal car accident, which would almost certainly have taken not only my life but several other lives as well.
I guess, I thought this would never happen to me.
In short, an angel must have been watching over me, to teach me an uncomfortable lesson, while allowing me to escape the situation largely unscathed, other than the nausea and headache that I'm still not fully recovered from.
I'm very lucky to be alive and unharmed.
Has something like this happened to anyone else?
