The point I'm making is that people living in western European culture have been doing something on 14 February for over 1,500 years or more.
I think people everywhere have been doing something on February 14th since the beginning of human existence.

I just ended a relationship a few weeks ago and didn't think I'd be bummed out but here I am . I don't usually do long term serious relationships but she was the closest thing I had to a girlfriend.
But at least Sir Louis von Kittenstein still loves me

Thanks. It's one of the drawbacks of not being able to commit. Things are amazing when we are all on the same page but they always eventually want to move on for something more serious and long term. If I could be that person I would, but I know that I can't. I don't have it in me. I love big. But I have the soul of a whore and choose partners accordingly, but their needs change and don't always want to stay in an open relationship. So I don't blame her for leaving to find something that is a better fit for her needs. It was a great 14 months. About as good a run as I could ask for. I just hope I'm not in a nursing home when I'm 85 because I have nobody to change my diaper.
You still got, what, 35 years and two weeks before that happens, right?
Who knows? ... A lot can happen in that time
