@Katota Aren't we a good looking bunch
Wonder if my below average looks have some influence in my earlier answer. No way I'm a liar though.
Nope. I do cuddle unpaid with people whose company I enjoy and I can say that none are conventionally attractive or attractive in general to me.
They're just good listeners, respectful, humorous, and we get along swimmingly.
In a platonic situation, I actually wouldn't cuddle with anyone I find physically attractive. I'd avoid it completely.
Absolutely NOT!!!! As I have stayed in my profile, I am accepting of ALL people. It's what's inside that makes everyone beautiful.
You can be as cute and as hot as ever, but if your personality is terrible? Yeah, I'm not dealing with you.
I haven’t read all the comments but this thread is a bit silly. Pro cuddling throws everything off. The majority of men if they are paying are going to want an attractive female and the majority of female pros are doing this for a fee so looks are much lower on their priority list if not important at all. If I’m paying my hard earned money, I’m not cuddling a gorilla.
Strange question. Pick who you like and feel SAFE and comfortable
Focusing on looks is reductive and self-sabotaging. Of course being attractive helps, until doesn't.
There’s a trope/common joke on Reddit involving “Step 1: Be attractive. Step 2: Don’t be unattractive” but I’d reframe this as ‘appeal matters more than looks’.
Understand that many/most/all women get deluged by inappropriate messages, pics, entitled/impatient demands, and flaky potential partners. You know how you feel when you get a call from ‘unknown’ or ‘potential scam’? Or someone comes to you at a bus stop late at night? That’s the baseline for most first messages/meets on this site for women.
What can you do?
Seek feedback on your profile, pictures, communications, and actual cuddle sessions. Be the awesome guy who gets friendzoned - that’s the goal.
@Katota @pmvines I would cuddle at least half the people in that picture.
I did a search that really didn't help, regardless of my search criteria, but I wonder with all the complaints (mostly from guys) about the lack of responses. Part of it may be the profile, part of it may be initial messages, part of it may be looks, and part of it may be something more ephemeral and elusive to pin down, but I wonder if there would be a benefit to a "profile review" type of forum post where someone could get feedback on their profile?
This would be mostly for those enthusiasts that, despite following the advice for profile text and initial messages, still get little to no traction. Or maybe it's just has the potential for way too much personal attacks or feelings of being picked on. Any thoughts to this?
@Vocalist100 you should start a profile review forum Post, that’s a wonderful ideal
I like the idea, but those posts tend to get locked pretty quickly.
@Vocalist100 Most people who are getting no responses are guys writing to female enthusiasts. Given that men outnumber women on here by something like 16-1, that's not really a surprise. Not sure how much profile tweaking would make a difference when women are getting buried in more messages than they can read.
Well, I've been here roughly 4 years and haven't met anyone (non-pro) yet. So, as they say, "What's the common denominator?" Either I'm butt ugly, or I'm doing something wrong even though I pretty much follow the advice of other posts (or it's one of those ephemeral things), and if it helps others as well, all the better.
Looks doesn't matter to me because my favorite position is being the big spoon anyways. jk jk seriously though, I prioritize my safety first. Looks are definitely on the lower rung of my non-negotiables.
Looks are not as important to me! Hygiene matters — I like a clean smelling person. 🫶🏽
@Vocalist100 Common denominator is that it is extremely, extremely difficult to find a female enthusiast to cuddle with, for anyone. That's why people get told to hire pros. Hell, you could have a dozen enthusiasts close to you, and they could have already found a cuddler and aren't looking for more.
My two cents, female enthusiasts can inundated with messages, so they can be picky. Looks aren’t the only factor but when you’re online and most profiles have no photos, you spot people by photos and what they look like. Then their message. For men we cuddle mostly if not exclusively pros if we are not attractive or of average looks because Balrad Pitt looking guys will get cuddles much easier. And since we’re paying 100-300 hr. Of course looks matter. If meeting a female enthusiast you factor in everything else too. Looks won’t matter as much to female pros because it is a service where they can make money.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder
Not necessarily..but scents do!
What I notice most when I read this thread is all the presuppositions.....
First, it seems as though the notion of "looks" is being limited....primarily to conventional attractiveness. When I think of looks, I think of smiles, the light in someone's eye, the attention to what is being worn, the hair, cleanliness, etc....and it seems that with that broad description, most people would consider "looks" important.
But in no way does that suggest that "looks" SHOULD or SHOULD NOT matter! People are entitled to value what matters to them....without judgement. While I certainly understand, and truly appreciate, that the pros are seemingly united in voicing that looks don't matter to them.....it's also quite understandable that it IS important to many of the paying clients. But to suggest that someone who thinks otherwise is lying is representing one of the true tragedies of modern times: that is, that whatever one discovers as their "truth" should be shared by everyone else.....and when it isn't, they are lying. This is one of the most challenging things in our present day politics; people just cannot imagine that someone else thinks differently than they do.
Because I define "looks" more broadly, I would suggest that they matter in virtually every encounter I have. Whether I am a client in a medical office, a restaurant, befriending a colleague, or even having a simple transaction in the grocery store, "looks" matter. How do they matter, you may ask? Well, it won't stop me from having any of those activities, but it will determine how I reflected upon those encounters, and how enthusiastic I will be in future meetings. The manager in my local grocery store walks with such confidence, exudes so much warmth in all her encounters I have seen, her "looks" present a positive, refreshing, loving demeanor.....and she seems to remember people with appreciation when they next shop. One may suggest that this isn't "looks", but I would counter that indeed it is; her "looks" are impacted by her demeanor, and that is what stands out the most.
1,000 years ago, in the time of Courtly Love and the Holy Grail, it was written about Parzival that when the damsels removed his armor and cleaned the rust off him, his "nobility" was evident to all with eyes. Today, that may sound like an archaic way of saying he was handsome, or "hot". But I really like that his physical stature was described as "nobility". Sure, we can suggest that caring about "looks" is shallow, as some in this thread have mentioned.....but I might suggest that it is no longer shallow when we understand that it is actually a portal into their nobility. We have all had experiences with beauty that fades once the other begins to talk, or give evidence of self-absorption.....and their "looks" no longer beckon. Even more importantly, we have probably all had experiences of the opposite.....where someone we never even noticed becomes beautiful, or their "looks" become more apparent, after they show insight, kindness, compassion, and we wonder why they all of a sudden look so much more striking to us.
When that happens, it stokes the fire of hopefulness in my heart, and I celebrate with immense gratitude
@pmvines I'm not talking about you. I'm talking more about the women that cuddle guys like us. I'm talking about 10s or women that are angels to prince charming and the complete opposite to anyone below that standard. Nah, you and @Katota, are 2 peas in a pod 😊 Thats very rare.
Not for the professional
Platonic cuddles have nothing to do with looks. Someone’s natural features don’t weigh into it. I turn down requests on the energy and intentions someone brings.
As a pro looks do not matter, my guess is pros care the least, enthusiast care a little and paying clients care the most but that is a generalization, I’m sure there are exceptions in every category.
Overall, no one will ever be able to predict another individual’s level of beauty/attractiveness. The way one person appears to me may not appear to be attractive to someone else’s eyes entirely, as well as the amount of bias that goes into judging looks based off of individual preference.
Ex: we’ll use twilight as an outdated and unwanted example since it gets the point across clearly …. One will say the girl should’ve chosen Jacob because he has the best 6 pack and facial features on avg. public opinion people would say to go for Jacob because he’s the most appealing to look at vs. saying the other guy is who she should pick because he’s the most attractive since he’s a rich scrawny pale vampire who glitters ✨ in the sun. That his 100’s-1000’s of years of life experience, money, he’s willingness to dive into her personal issues, lives in a larger house with a lifestyle that intrigued her would make him the most attractive option. She still chose the rich and less attractive pick because to her that’s what was deemed as appealing to her. (Obviously it’s a movie and scripted, but the scenario being referenced is why I’m using it.) Attraction is based on the eyes 👀 of the beholder and their own personal interests with that person being judged to state if they’re attractive or not.
All in all, my answer is that personally looks hold little value to me as pro cuddler because this is strictly platonic. My intentions of being here is to help others, not date them so from the very beginning the importance of looks for a pro should be thrown out of the window 🪟 as we are not supposed to be biased or discriminatory against anyone as everyone deserves to have someone to care about them whether it’s being done for free or for a fee.
As for a client looking to hire a pro or connect with an enthusiast to cuddle for free, I believe solely depends on that client and what their personal interests and intentions are for why they joined the site. If those chose to join for genuine reasons of seeking help and support they may take looks into strong consideration but base their follow through on booking based on the level of substance and relatability they feel with the pro or enthusiast versus a client who joins looking for a female because they are lonely and want to misuse the site as a dating app or opportunity to regain their self confidence to prepare themselves platonically before leaving C.C. to go back into the dating world. These individuals may feel more inclined to go searching for a pro/enthusiast they find attractive or easily accessible based solely off of their looks.
In conclusion, should anyone be cuddling based off of someone’s level of attraction ??? Obviously not because this is a platonic site and geared towards emotional support.
In reality do clients book based off of level of attraction they personally attribute to the pro/enthusiast YES. With that said some clients really do book based off of the connections and positive experiences they have had with a pro/enthusiast before booking a cuddle session and unfortunately some don’t. What’s important is that WE as a cuddle community need to keep encouraging people to choose cuddle partners based on the right reasons🤗 and to stay positive !!!
~ Happy Attractive Cuddling Everyone 🤗 ~
Looks have never been something that was very important to me. I find other things to be so much more beautiful
I feel like yes and no. Though I might ideally be more attracted to my ideal type which is actually a guy who is not skinny, but with more meat on their bones dad bod type. is actually my preference because it feels so nice cuddling, but i have cuddled with those completely opposite of my ideal type and they are simply amazing and i have cuddled with my ideal type and some were the biggest turnoffs. I feel like the chemistry and the energy, and respect means so much more
Ah yes, Twilight…. The timeless tale of a child’s abuse via necrophilia or bestiality.
That’s what I call culture!
