Unexpectedly Wonderful Moments!

Hello cuddly people!

I would love to hear about an unexpected or surprising thing in session that made you laugh, or made you feel supported or connected in a way you weren't expecting.

Maybe this can also be advice for cuddlers (pro, client, or enthusiast) to add to their own sessions!

I recently attended a cuddle puddle here in my city that was absolutely magical! I was a client, paying to join, this time instead of pro and I just loved it, so I'll go first!

In the big cuddle puddle, someone was playing with my hair (if you have seen my profile, you know I have an awful lot of it) and there was a tangle. This lovely person spent some time untangling it and continued to run their fingers through my hair and I just thought that was so sweet. I feel like people usually hit a snag in my hair and then stop messing with it, so I really enjoyed the thoughtfulness of that.

Also, the facilitator led some exercises to ease into the physical touch that I thought were great. We did one finger dancing, where you just had one fingertip together and tried to dance and stay together which was so fun and also got everyone laughing. It really eased any potential awkwardness of that first interaction.

Anyone have any small moments that felt big you'd like to share?

During my one and only cuddle session with a young lady half+ my age, during our spooning conversation filled with laughter I expressed to her that there was no threat of her falling in love with me because when I was her age, likewise, she replied "I don't know, if you keep making me laugh like you do" lol

I would also like to add her caressing of my hand and arm while around her made it feel intimate to me

  • Well that is very sweet! And I'm glad you had a positive experience but that doesn't sound like a very platonic session in my opinion. πŸ˜‚

No totally platonic just two people with great senses of humor

  • This is a great thread! Thanks so much ☺️😁

Over the weekend I saw my girls all do some little niceties for each other here and there....and that always makes my mama heart happy πŸ˜πŸ’—πŸ’—

  • @RedFox16 that's wonderful! I love seeing children spontaneously do acts of kindness. One of my favorite parts of teaching and working with children in behavior. So sweet! πŸ’›

  • I had a fun time with a cuddler a few years ago. We were laughing and giggling and were a little high on endorphins. We were listening to music as the session was winding down.

The song "close my eyes forever" by Ozzy Osborn with Lita Ford was next on the play list. She paused it and in the most excited voice said, "let's sing this as a duet. You be Ozzy, I'll be Lita"

So we sang this duet as loud as we could as our last act of our cuddle session.

It was weird in a really wonderful way. Unexpected. The best part was how happy it made her.

I'm pretty sure that I will always remember that session.

(It was really nice anyway, but that made it unforgettable)

  • @JayAllan that is so cute! I love that!

  • In one session I had the PRO had a small dog that immediately latched on to me one I entered her home...Frito I rub his stomach the entire session.....the "threesome" was an unexpected bonus...I subsequently learned that Frito is a player and loves every equally...not a bad non judgemental behavior to follow

  • @dennis22554 my dog, Flower, is the same way. I always ask clients if they want her involved or not because if she's not in her bed, she will be cuddling anyone who comes in here 😊

  • I will always say yes to the dog(s) (or cats πŸ˜„)

  • I had an amazing overnight with a client recently and he went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. He even went out and bought a margarita machine since he knows I like margaritas.. even bought a bottle of Sangria after asking what my favorite flavor was... had all the lighting in the house set to blue since it's my favorite color. Made me a latte in the morning and sat on the balcony facing the water enjoying great conversation. He has to be the most considerate guy I've ever met in my life. Absolutely made me feel so special and appreciated.

  • I've told this story before but it bears repeating because it's still the best session I've ever had.It was last year and I'd already had a few sessions with this pro. This was an overnight session.I get there, and as corny as this may sound it was magic. We talked, laughed the tv was on but I barely remember what we were watching.Time literally flew by.We did sleep only to wake up now and then to talk and laugh some more. Finally I look over to the window and I'm wondering if that's the streetlight or the sun coming up.We both the jump out of bed because the session lasted way longer than we planned. We both apologized to each other and she walked me to the door, one final hug and I was on my way back home. It's about a 45 minute drive from her place in Austin to my home and the entire drive back I had a smile on my face. For a brief moment I was seriously considering deleting my account because I was wondering how could another session with anyone top this.I always go into a session with no expectations, that way I'm never disappointed and always pleasantly surprised. And even though I've had sessions with others since then, that one will always be memorable.

  • @jonnyquest that sounds wonderful! I love those sessions where you lose track of time just have a great connection!

At a recent cuddle party here in Southern California, I experienced a particularly deep connection with one tall, brown-haired, curly-haired girl that attended the party.

We shared a hug that lasted easily two minutes during one of the opening exercises. We both didn't want to let go, and we almost forgot that it was an exercise. We only broke apart when the facilitator announced the culmination of the exercise.

During cuddle lab, which is the freestyle portion of the cuddle party, I spent nearly the entire time in "baby bear" position, with my new friend as "mama bear."

We shared one particularly special moment where it was just the two of us. I was lying flat on my back with my head nestled in her lap over a pillow, while she caressed my head and gently massaged my face, and I found myself gazing up into her eyes.

After the party, we walked down the street to a nearby cafe and chatted over some rooibos tea, and finally cuddled for a few more minutes on a bench, until I realized I was running late and needed to rush to get home. It was not easy saying "farewell." But I know she and I will meet again at future cuddle parties.
