Does giving a male client karma for good behavior equate to giving a dog a biscuit? 8pm

  • This is was so painful for my brain to read.

  • For people that called this the dumbest post ever......there sure seems to be a lot of interest...you'll find my next post equally exciting

  • Is it going to be about labels?

If someone makes a post, and no one understands it, does it make a noise?

  • Absolutely...I love making people happy

Worst thing isn't people disagreeing with your posts. Worst thing is if they start to just ignore them.

  • @WriterGF Yes, it does. In fact, that's all it does.

I don’t like this post either. On a side note, stores, restaurants, and businesses all get google reviews or yelp reviews. Thats literally the same thing. If you’re concern is safety, I think both parties should submit an ID and complete a video screening before getting approved to perform cuddles for the site, but no one wants that for whatever reason. I recently completed a cat sitting application, its more through than this website with how professionals are screened. Spaces and places that require an immense investment of emotional time and space all require a screening on both sides, ie adoption, or even social services at times. There are clients at my workplace that are banned because of their violent and unacceptable behavior. The karma process is not new in any other business, and saying that it is, is simply unture.

  • Everyone has free will

  • How would an oatmeal cookie help anyone stay safe in this process? Doesn’t feel like this post should be taken seriously.

But just a reminder that someone’s safety and comfort isn’t a joke.

As is there are both positive and negative comments with any post as there should be...I. Am grateful for the multitude of positive comments sent my way both privately and publicly.
    Thank you
    .until my ne x t post..farwell

  • My very first cuddle with a pro, she told me she was going to write a positive karma for me so it would help me establish a good reputation for future cuddles. I was and am appreciative. Rather than a dog biscuit, I think of it as a green flag. It gives people some basis to trust I am not creepy. If people wish to screen beyond that, they can and should, but at least it is a starting point.

You can't blame other people every time your thread is not well received and dismiss as people are just being negative, or that they aren't reading your post correctly

If you get the sense people are misunderstanding your posts, clarify. If you won't or can't do that, then, going forward, work on the post before you put it up to make sure it's clear.

I am going to invest in a decoder ring to help navigate posts like this

It’s his style- he throws a grenade into the room, creates chaos, followed by perpetual messaging, virtue signaling and brown nosing.
    Rinse.
    Repeat..
    Every…. single… time.

*** He’s a serial agitator and he knows it; evidenced by his last comment that says “until my next post, farewell”.***

He won’t take feedback, won’t read the room and despite his warnings, time outs and account pauses by our extremely patient and overly tolerant mods - NEVER LEARNS HIS LESSON. That’s why I don’t respond to his noise anymore.

    Whoops.

@WestsideMarc Sounds like the best approach.

I don't respond to the OP's posts because I can never understand what he is trying to communicate. I don't know if he is just trolling or simply cannot clearly communicate his thoughts.

  • Has he ever been in timeout? Or other punishments from the Mods? Can’t honestly remember….

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@g_w_t_w I know he was in timeout at least once.

  • O I C 👍🏼 yes maybe I remember that now.
I think I usually understand Dennis’s point but not saying I agree, maybe sometimes.
Communication is likely a real challenge when you’ve had a stroke.
I just try to understand and show some compassion as long as someone isn’t being a jerk.

  • @g_w_t_w I understand having communication difficulties. But his biggest difficulty is his refusal to explain what he means, rather than being dismissive of anyone who doesn't understand. As well as being dismissive of anyone who doesn't agree with him, including not understanding. That part is a choice.

  • As someone who knows a thing or two about trolling, I doubt that OP is a troll. I think his intentions are good.

Now to the "issue" at hand:

I don't think karmas given by pros to clients undermines karmas gives by client to pros since I don't think the two are comparable. Karma given to client should be of more interest to pros and vice versa.
However, I do think genuine karma given to either is being undermined by trade-off karma which takes place even in cases where one (or both sides) does not deserve one. and you just don't know which is which, making 5-star karma of absolutely no value other than for entertainment purposes. The real valuable Karmas are the rare ones that are rated 1-4.
