Thoughts on cuddling with women in relationships..

Hiya! <3 ~ I’m a 25 year old arab girl & i’ve been recently wondering what men in general think of cuddling with women who are taken. I have a bf who just proposed and he doesn’t mind at all. What about you guys?

  • As long as everyone knows and all people in the relationship are okay with it, theres no problem!

  • I know many female pros in serious relationships, their partner knows about it and approves. You are not alone.

  • I'm married, and my wife and I have talked openly about cuddling. She supports my cuddling activity. As such, I have no problem with cuddling someone who's taken, as long as their significant other is okay with it.

  • It's perfectly common on this site and in the cuddle world generally.

    I don’t trust men that I don’t know.

My experience’s professionally are that a certain percentage of men will attack anyone who comes anywhere near “their woman” in any intimate way, especially in a private setting.

And since they don’t wear signs (and the signs often lie) I simply avoid women who are in relationships with men.

Which is fine, because I don’t trust women that I don’t know either.

So, trusting a man I don’t know, on the assurances of a woman that I don’t know, is definitely a no.

  • I never ask and I think most guys here have cuddled a woman whom you don’t know is in a relationship. He is the one that has to live with her and put the hard work in with her. I am just cuddling. Win-win for me.

As far as a spouse and bf coming around during a session…I do not live my life in fear. There are a million things that could go wrong in any situation in life. I would rather live than cower in fear of what ifs. Do I consider or think through what ifs? Certainly. But I never let it socially paralyze me.

  • Is your profile photo appropriate for a platonic site? Has your bf seen this photo?
It looks non platonic to me and will give anyone contacting you that idea imo.
But the men commenting here seem to be just fine with it lol.

Great topic! I can weigh in on this one as I have cuddled a number of married women. (Sounds weird to say).

To start out, let me say for the record that I certainly have my considerations about sharing intimacy with “another man’s wife”. That’s a no-no in my book, but given this specific cuddle-sphere space is unique, I’ve made peace with it.

There are alot of women out there who stay in loveless, bitter, sexless or sex-challenged relationships for one reason or another that aren’t getting their needs met (speaking in cuddle context only for purposes of this reply).

Most are sleeping in separate bedrooms whose relationships have been reduced to roommate-esque scenarios, usually staying together because they have kids - but there’s always a backstory.

It’s interesting though, upon reflection of your post Serena I’m realizing that these have all been especially gratifying cuddles mutually. One can easily hypothesize as to the why.

Perhaps one reason I can submit is it can be lonelier to live with someone and be in a marriage like this versus just being alone and single. Within the 3 or 4 cuddle experiences I’ve had with married women I have definitely noticed an extra “cuddle hunger” and longing to experience that amazing connection and chemistry that we ALL seek here.

Whenever I meet a new cuddler I always meet them at their car and walk them back afterwards, but as I reflect on these specific experiences I am realizing an interesting common thread:

In each one of these new meets, even just the greeting hugs I’ve gotten at the curb have all been noticeably different! Unusually long embraces coupled with a lot of the unspoken yet felt….. like they just don’t wanna let go. Hugs that have felt especially powerful and emotional, like they haven’t felt warmth in a million years. I always say to myself that if the greeting at the street is THIS good, it’s going to be a beautiful evening! And it always has been.

And while I’ve been the lucky recipient of that amazing mutual fulfillment, it makes me sad for them that they have to go back to that empty relationship space.

    Cuddle Comfort.
    An apt name indeed.

  • I never ask if the person I'm cuddling with is in a relationship but I'm pretty sure that's happened without me knowing it.Personally it would feel a little weird if during the session the person I'm cuddling with said they had a boyfriend or were married.Especially if their partner knew that they were cuddling because then I'd be hoping they don't start any drama. But if their partner was completely okay with it then I guess I wouldn't either..Now just me personally,if I was in a relationship I couldn't do this because if I was married or had a girlfriend and I'm cuddling with someone else I'd start to feel guilty.

@WestsideMarc Your post touched me deeply. As you said, thers is always a back story, but regardless of the story, the loneliness and void is the same. Several judge that it is "cheating" to cuddle someone other than my spouse especially because he doesn't know that i cuddle.

I would gladly cuddle my spouse 24/7 if it were possible. He is the love of my life and always will be despite years of verbal abuse prior to his illness. In fact, the doctors think his early anger was a sign of his Alzheimers. Watching him slowly fade away mentally from Alzheimers and physically from Parkinsons magnifies the loneliness i feel. I am going through the hardest thing I have ever faced "alone" because my partner isn't capable of connecting 90% of the time.

Someone just asked me how it could be gratifying for me to walk into every cuddle with the mindset that I am there to give comfort. I explained that when I cuddle someone, my focus may be on them, but that moment of complete relaxation as all stress leaves their body is healing to the hurting lonely inner self whom I show to no one. I drink in all the peace and appreciation and tender innocence from the simple act of holding someone. It is what fuels me to endure this chapter of my life.

  • I would imagine there are a multitude of reasons people in relationships cuddle..although I would agree many that do are missing something in their life.Onemost also remember that it may be their primary occupation as therapy is a very respected profession. In a recent report I read a cuddle therapist can make over 70k. I'm just grateful they are around in a relationship or not!!

  • I'm not opposed to it in general, but if it's behind her partner's back, it's a no-no for me.

That one is a hard boundary for me based on the experience with a married woman cuddler. All it takes is the drama of a husband calling during a cuddle session to kill the ambience of great session. Definitely a red flag for me. 🚩

  • It seems like common sense would say avoid or proceed with caution. I would think most guys wouldn’t want an angry SO coming after them. What if he comes home during your session? Or if she has a shared location with him? That sounds scary and dangerous! Somehow get proof that he is ok about it?

    She's paused. Probably going pro.

  • How much of a concern is it for PRos that an angry wife shows up at the culles session unexpectedly?

I don’t think angry women are as threatening as angry men. But why invite problems when there are plenty of single people here to cuddle?
Anyway @dennis22554 i think you should go for it and see what happens! 😊

  • To clarify..a clients wife discovering her husband in an unapproved cuddling session..not sure how that's related to me going for it

  • Just out of curiosity, how on earth would you know if someone's partner or spouse was "on board" with them cuddling? I am sure people lie about this all the time and quite frankly it's none of my business. I have been given fake names for cuddlers who don't want me to know who they are in real life. I just turn up, have a great cuddle session and get on with life. 😌🤷

  • That's all you can do

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@penguin34 I am guessing this is rare, but I have seen people mention doing a video call pre-cuddle with the cuddler and their partner.

  • I’m happier taking people at face value. If they’re calm, happy, and down to cuddle so am I.

I believe most of the people I’ve cuddled are not in relationships but if they are and don’t make it weird, then it’s not weird.

The two that mentioned it in discussion (one was married, one in a committed poly) just talked about it like it was a normal conversational topic, not a dramatic reveal of “I’m married… how does that make you feel” 😇. It was normal for them, so I let it be normal for me.

If they “confessed” and felt guilty I’d be very uncomfortable too.

  • I find it important to be open from the start..thatway everyone is safe and you can really connect during platonically during a session..no distractions

  • @Gwynne42 thank you for that thoughtful response. I am so glad my post resonated with you.

    @penguin34 Exactly. Well said.

  • I'm fine with it and actually don't even ask people if they're in a relationship (or if their SO is ok with them cuddling). 😎☺️

First, it's not my business and how can I even make sure anyways? 🤷‍♀️ Everyone here is a grown adult and should be able to handle their own personal lives....it's not my job to police people's relationship in addition to cuddle therapy. That would be insanely messy!! 😳

Plus, this as a form of therapy and comfort and I always conduct myself in a platonic manner....so there's no crossing lines anyways. So at least I know that nothing inappropriate happens. Plus, there's truth to @WestsideMarc 's comment ....who knows what people are going through 😔

  • I don't think it should matter if I have boyfriends or not. It doesn't pertain to the platonic cuddle activity, or vice versa.

  • All I can do is keep my own house in order. I don't have the bandwidth to keep other people's homes in check.

  • I agree with being open or simply keeping it to yourself, BUT PLEASE DON'T LIE! There was a man a few months ago who played the lonely widower card for sympathy in several online chats leading up to our cuddle...then he specifically requested no makeup, no tinted chapstick, no perfume, and no scented hand lotion. Widower?!? He even took a shower before going home and put his clothes from our cuddle in a plastic bag inside his gym bag. Worst cuddle ever! 😂😂😂

  • @g_w_t_w hmm, good point but I could just easily deflect and tell the SO I was just as much in the dark as he was. and then get out of there

also, like @RedFox16 said when meeting strangers off the internet we can inly believe them, they could be lying and making up a story even if they told us they didnt have a BF.

@Auroradream some people think that cuddling is too much ig.

  • Not for me.

I explicitly state this on my profile, and can only hope my preference will be respected.
