Besides the obvious ($$), what are some differences between being a Pro vs Enthusiast/cuddling pro vs enthusiast?
What have your experiences been with the two?
My experiences with the two: Pro: Let's setup a date and time. Most good. Some sus.
Enthusiast: No answer
Since you are hundreds of miles from me, you should go pro.
If you were closer I would hope to gradually become friends, learn to trust each other, and be cuddle buddies.
However, kidding on the square aside, there is being a pro, versus being a professional.
Getting the pro tag has benefits and drawbacks, but if you are hoping to make a useful income as a professional then there is a lot of work, and I suspect quite a bit of discomfort, in doing so.
There are plenty of stickied threads in the Professional Cuddling Forum Section.
Either way, luck to you, and safety, and joy.

Please- before charging people to cuddle with you- be sure you are ready and able to provide a legitimate professional service. Understand platonic intimacy and how to foster it, have techniques to calmly redirect hands as needed (not from boundary pushing creeps- just genuine positioning issues) and be in a mental space to be what your clients need. I'd strongly suggest (at the very least) cuddling quite a bit before going pro.
Generally speaking, cuddles with enthusiasts tend to be more “mutual” (for lack of a better word). You are both giving and receiving platonic touch because that is what both of you want.
With a pro, it is often a little more lopsided where the client is doing more receiving and the pro is more focused on providing platonic touch and attention.
This is not an absolute rule but it has been fairly representative of my experiences over the past 3+ years.
Not sure if you're asking from the point of view or a cuddler pro or a person paying for cuddling.
When you cuddle as a regular enthusiast, it is an authentic exchange Of emotion warmth safety. Dopamine oxytocin, and all those other wonderful things that cuddling provides. You can cuddle, as long as you want and no wallet Can stop you! Enthusiast cuddling enthusiast is cuddling in its purest form. What I believe the website's made for.
As a paid cubbler, you Are a facilitator and are providing something to someone else. Which inherently leads to some pressure If you're not a Natural at it already. You can't just send a message to anyone which cuddling limits who you can interact with. you're not allowed to advertise on here. I'm sure there is a sense of "well. I have to put up with this because they're paying me " 'm not talking about crossing boundaries. I'm just talking about things that are annoying in any regular situation. You would never spend time with someone who is, You may not have the best connection with. You just have. To hope and pray that you get a Decent human being with OK hygiene.
Very interesting topic for discussion. I really miss my days of cuddling as an enthusiast. I found it to be more natural and flowing, the best part being there are less time restraints so you can just relax, hang out till you are ready to cuddle. As a pro, it's a very fixed time slot and it can be quite pressurising, I want to give the session my 110 percent and make sure the client feels they have got their money's worth. 🤷😌
Thanks for the answers!
Yes, I'm asking for both perspectives, from the giver and receiver sides.
well it's my understanding that pros have to be willing to cuddle anyone. if I don't like someone's energy; I don't want to. I like the freedom to be more choosy. if you go pro, it's a job. you'd basically providing a service. I'm an enthusiast, and I'm not providing any services. I definitely want someone to brush my hair. but idk. I already have a full time job.
@graceangel we can still be choosy/ have standards we just can’t discriminate. For example we can’t discriminate off demographics or looks but we can and should pre screen our clients and ensure they are a good fit and that we feel good about working with them. If someone gives off a vibe that they want more than cuddling or we just have a bad gut feeling, we are allowed to turn them down and we should. Clients can tell when you are enjoying their presence versus when you are tolerating their presence. Don’t work with people you can’t enjoy.
Pro: it’s not like I would ever be a pro, and I would never pay a pro to cuddle. I feel there is no connection on a personal level other than it being a business transaction.
Enthusiast: I feel there is more of a personal connection with the right person and being on the same page as someone. If it is someone regular to cuddle with, can make it more interesting. I had one connection that we had an awesome connection with one another on every level so we were in constant contact with one another and we did other things other than just cuddle. We would meet up for coffee. If we hung out most times it would lead to a cuddle session.
I have only been a pro, but if I were an enthusiast I most likely only have one cuddle friend, so after I took the time to find that friend through getting coffee, hiking etc.. I would deactivate once I found them so I wouldn't be around. I put my mom on there 72-year-old woman with no picture and she had one message after another. She got off the site quickly, so can you imagine someone a little younger with a picture.
I have a friend who will only cuddle enthusiast and he has 14 karma not one Pro😝 so with patients, and genuinely wanting to connect and not just cuddle right away, you can find them..
I'm envious of the enthusiast cuddler because they get to go out to eat or watch a movie, cook dinner or other things when you're a pro it seems like to me at least my clients just wanna cuddle and I can't blame them because, of the cost.
@JackNJ I totally get you, but I always tell my clients you not paying for Cuddles you are just paying for my time because why should I give up my time to Cuddles strangers, believe it or not, there's some work involved before the Cuddles comes. I'm in affectionate person all the time with everyone practically doesn't matter who you are even in public.( sometimes I have to be careful) I wear free hugs T-shirts and I give out hugs so it's not really just about the money and some of my money goes to Africa to a Friend who sponsor and take care of children.
I think if there was equal amounts , of women , as there was a man, desiring cuddles, I think it would probably be a free site, but because there's so many more men than women who desire cuddling that's why there's a money exchange, or lots of work to be done and finding free cuddles.
I'm really glad I'm a pro because I got to meet so many amazing clients had so much fun I'm almost positive If I was an enthusiast I would only have one or two people to connect with because of the time. I'm currently working between 40 and 60 hours a week on my regular job so it's hard to get people in my life other then friends and family.
I know this is a long post it wasn't just for you, just to help people understand why a pro deserves pay.
Ps... there is a lot pros that have training in different areas related to cuddling too:)
I always encourage people to find enthusiast, and when I find a good client, sometimes I put in the karma good for enthusiast💛💛
As a client / receiver of cuddlers, I've not had that choice here on CC. If I want cuddles, I need to pay for them. And I'm fine with that, but I also wouldn't have minded finding a local enthusiast cuddle buddy. That seems exceedingly rare, especially for men.
@KozyKim said: I'm envious of the enthusiast cuddler because they get to go out to eat or watch a movie, cook dinner or other things when you're a pro it seems like to me at least my clients just wanna cuddle and I can't blame them because, of the cost
True from my view. I joined for rewarding cuddling experiences that I'm missing from life. Some might be like me in that I have a great set of friends to cook for, go out to social events with, things like that. I set myself a ground rule that no matter how much I like spending time with a pro and how fun it might be to spend non-cuddling time with them, paid time is just for cuddling, regardless of cost (I'm not too sensitive to cost unless it becomes excessive, then I have to think about life choices). I haven't really gone social with my enthusiast cuddle buddies, but that's starting to change (taking her to her first hockey game this afternoon!)
Totally get this. Rarely (meaning it's only happened a few times) I've had a cuddler agree to a dinner or social event ahead of the cuddle session, at either no extra cost or a limited additional cost. I'm always respectful if the answer is no or the answer is "yes, but it will cost you X." I like these arrangements especially with a new cuddler, as it gives us a chance to get to know each other a little better. And of course I always cover the meal, ticket, drinks, etc. costs incurred.
All my public sessions are half-price and I usually buy my own food because I have particular taste. But when you offer someone a public session, they say well let's go on a hammock or lay on the blanket in the woods and I'm like no that's not really a public session. They're just trying to get a discount. I'm talking about going out to dinner or see a movie. But I am a very affectionate person so if a person doesn't mind PDA. thats a way to get affection, connect, and at the same time be able to afford, it. I had just public Cuddles for a whole year, and only one person took me up on it. For two hours for $90 I gave him tons of affection and I bought my own food.
For someone like me who has lots of friends and family and access to free cuddles from people that are not on the site, I don't really have the time to afford people the luxury of free cuddling because I don't really have the time, my times the important thing. The Cuddles, are FREE my time is costly😝🤗
I'm sure there's other pros that would agree with me
As a pro when I’m cuddling as a pro it’s 100% about my count and their experience. I make sure they are comfortable and having their cuddle needs met.
Occasionally I have had a mutual unpaid cuddle with other pros. In this case it’s more 50/50. I can relax more I don’t have to cater to the other person I can breath relax and enjoy myself more. I still am a nurturer so it’s natural for me to accommodate the other persons needs but I also will voice my own needs and comforts when it’s a mutual non paid for cuddle. Vs a paid pro cuddle where it’s all about the other cuddler

You've said time 3 times in a sentence. And then 1 more in the next. 😜
Truth is, time is important to everyone. It's the most valuable resource where we can't get it back.
Sometimes when I see a person talk about time so much, or how busy they are, they lack the awareness--or worse yet --respect in how busy others can get in this life. At the very least it comes off self-important.
I hope you're not one of those.
