Sleeping during overnights

  • I have had a couple of overnights with enthusiasts I have complete trust in, but even then I slept lightly and I am a guy. Compared to women I have much less to stress over. But when you are in the land of Sandman you are completely vulnerable to what someone awake might be doing which could run the gamut from nothing to robbery or worse. I consider overnights an act of faith and trust and I need to be at a place in the cuddle relationship where I am not engaged in paranoia management when cuddling the person.

which could run the gamut from nothing to robbery or worse

@TheFunCartel True, but lucky for me all of my stuff is either outdated or obsolete. Lol 😆

Nah, @pmvines would just be hurting himself trying to rob my house. 😆

"Dagnanbitt Katota, ya know they make LIGHTWEIGHT TVs now!?"

    "Is this a rotary phone?!"
    😄😜

Lol. Nah, I ain't gotta rotary phone but I might get one from somewhere just to annoy my son when he misses my phone calls. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

My ex wife and a gf said I sleep so silent they think I'm dead lol. I don't snore. Don't fart. I don't move around or talk in my sleep I just fully go into comatose mode 🤣. I do however tend to get up early(around 5:25am) to take a pee lol, but that's because I drink a lot of water then back to bed till 7.👌

  • I haven't done an overnight with a cuddler, mostly out of logistics. I wear a CPAP to sleep, which means I can't really be face-to-face with a partner in bed, because they'll get a gust of air in their face all night. If I don't wear it, I snore like a bear, so that doesn't really work either.

A couple of times (on late night but not overnight sessions) I've had a cuddler fall asleep in my arms. I'm always of two minds when that happens -- (1) it's cool that she felt comfortable enough cuddling with me to fall asleep; but (2) am I getting my full session if she's asleep? Obviously there's no chatting, no active cuddling, no changing positions, etc. if she's asleep. And then I have to watch the clock and make sure I wake her up when our session is nearing the end.

  • Hoos cuddling I'd rather have a nap buddy for say a 3-4hour cuddle as long as a several positions were done within the first hour of say a 4 hour session. Sleep away I say, but I'm not responsible for waking them up, esp if I fall asleep....or is it my responsibility?🤔🤷

  • @DavidLeeR Good point. I haven’t run into that but I think the ending time and ending it on time is on the pro. For an enthusiast I think it is more mutual.

  • I've done 1 official overnight session which was fantastic falling asleep cuddling someone and then waking up cuddling them still, we then went out to breakfast (my treat) before parting ways. Before that session, I had 2 others (with the same pro), one where we both zonked out for a while cause it was so comfy and another where she wasn't feeling the greatest so I held her while she took a nap. Human touch and connection are amazing for the soul.

  • There's definitely a concern for sure. I would meet the person and have a session before jumping right to an overnight, or just play it by ear with that first session. As far as if an overnight is happening, you won't have a chance to get up and steal stuf fwith me holding on to you hahaha

  • I’ve fallen asleep spooning a cuddler. Holding them. It was peaceful for me since they didn’t snore. I had a long distance cuddle cuddle sleep over. I was up first and surfed on my phone. When they woke up I gave them a massage and had breakfast. They left after.

I had one session that lasted like 7 hours. It happened shortly after my dad had passed. We both cuddled each other and they held me and nurtured me. Checking in to make sure I was doing ok. It helped a lot. We also chatted while taking turns holding each other.

There has been a few when a friend comes over. We cuddle., chat and caress or massage. I have Minor restless leg syndrome. Not enough to disturb my sleep. Plus, I also have a CPAP machine. So I usually don’t hold somebody while I’m falling asleep because I don’t always lay still. I always offer whoever I’m sharing the bed with a blanket because I don’t get too cold and I just use a sheet mostly. I always make sure the other person is comfortable and taking care

I have noticed lately that when I fall asleep on my shoulder and my dog will come up and plop down behind my back and make sure we are touching. I’ve woken up hours later still in the same position. I don’t Always get restless.

  • I've had quite a few overnight sessions. One of them, the client told me to leave at like 2am because he was about to have explosive diarrhea.

I just had to mention that.

I kinda sleep like a log and cuddle through the night, so there isn't usually an issue during overnights. I just ask people how long they normally sleep for/when they wake up and my internal clock wakes me up at that time. I really love overnight sessions, talking until we fall asleep then talking more when we wake up😆

But of course, the overnights are with people I already trust, so I know the conversations are gonna be good.

  • @KuddlyKoala 😂 he did you a “solid” favor… that would definitely harsh the cuddle buzz!

Isn't there anyone out there that feels like there is a high possibility of accidental roaming hands during actual tight cuddling when sleeping? Has it ever happened to any of you?

  • @KuddlyKoala You seem like one of the best cuddly candidates for an overnighter. I wish I could sleep like a log--that was back in my teenage years.

@easylike I go in the opposite direction of that. Cuddlers I connect with give me a chance early to do an overnight and so that trust remains sacred to me. I make sure they sleep safe.

  • I'm a perfect slumber partner.
    Inquire here: @TxTom

  • I don’t think I could fall asleep with a complete stranger. Way too vulnerable a position to be in. I think I would stay awake all night. Finish the session in the morning, and then crash the rest of the day.

  • I'm a perfect slumber partner

    😄

@TxTom I read that as slumber PARTIER! Ha! 😆

I really like the idea but not being conscious during a stay might not be so relaxing

  • The one cuddle session I did with a semi-pro (I was his first) we talked about an overnight but I decided not to because I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep comfortably.

Anyway we discussed how we both have problems sleeping & I mentioned that the best sleep I have ever had was on a cruise because of the rocking motion. He then started rocking me to get me to fall asleep. It was very sweet of him but it was so funny. I felt like a baby being rocked by a parent. I just laughed internally & said "that's ok you don't have to do that."

I think his goal was to make me fall asleep but he's the one that ended up asleep. At one point he was out & I could feel his body twitching & his breathing was increasing like he was having a bad dream. I had to tap him & ask if he was ok.

  • You all are brave! I would have to skip sleep the previous night, down a gallon of peppermint and chamomile tea, and take 10 melatonin strawberry gummies to sleep next to a stranger for an overnight. My anxiety would be off the chain!

  • I have had a few overnight cuddles with regular clients or as an enthusiast. I like to make sure the room has two beds. I like to think of it as a “donut cuddle.” Cuddles at the beginning, maybe falling asleep in one another’s embrace, a hole in the middle where if one of us wakes we can go to the other bed and get some quality sleep, and then some more cuddles in the morning, along with coffee or breakfast or whatever. I’m not a super quiet sleeper so I do come equipped with earplugs for both of us if desired. I don’t charge for the sleeping hours typically if it’s a pro cuddle but I know some do. It’s kind of a special occasion on a case by case basis!

@DavidLeeR, you're not wrong. But again, I personally can't fall asleep without snoring loudly or wearing my CPAP. So if we're cuddled up say with me as big spoon, or her head on my chest in sweetheart, that's lovely. But then I have to lie there telling myself "don't fall asleep, don't fall asleep" because if I do she's going to think a bear is in the room within a few minutes when the snoring begins.

So it makes for kind of a boring cuddle session when she falls asleep, but I can't!

  • I’ve been lucky enough to have a few overnight sessions with some amazing cuddlers. Each one was as different as each person is. When you don’t have someone to sleep with, and then all of a sudden you do, and you have the opportunity to fall asleep in their arms and vice versa it can be one of the most Relaxing and rejuvenating and beautiful things. I’ve been extremely unlucky in my life, but I’ve been lucky enough to know these particular people to have them feel comfortable enough with me and I with them to share this experience.

  • I have met one pro where her sleepovers are more like rituals where she has a peaceful way to take you to sleep and one to wake you up. There usually are rules about amount of sleep like min six hours. This means you know that yes cuddling but not attached the entire night.

  • This means you know that yes cuddling but not attached the entire night.

    👍👍👍👍

@Backscratch75 Agreed! There's no way that I will be sleeping attached to said cuddler the entire night. Nope! 😁

I am a mover in my sleep unless I am dog tired...😞😩

  • I liked the idea until the day I woke up to someone fondling me and touching themself. I don’t even know what I’m still doing here!! 🥴

@Trixxie That is shitty 💩, it really is! 🤢😞🤨

So far overnights with @pmvines has been smooth and respectful, and in the mornings he is just grumbling downstairs to my kitchen to reheat some leftover coffee in my microwave. Lol😆

I'm not a coffee drinker ☕ 🚫, ya see? Poor thing has to make due on his own with that. 😁

I am so sorry that happened to you 😞 🫂, and I don't blame you for NOT doing overnights anymore due to horny toad jackasses being their true disgusting selves! 🤢🤨

  • I wear a CPAP. The first time I did an overnight, I was self-conscious. Here is a tip. Set up your cpap to autostart when you take a breath and put the mask within easy reach. After pillow talk and soothing sleeptime cuddles, become the little spoon and put on your mask. They are becoming very common. The sight is not going to shock anyone. Like some others do, I often take a nap so my attention can be on the person I am cuddling. Even though I am an enthusiast and not a professional, I still want my energy to be focused on comforting and relaxing my fellow cuddler. It often becomes a fun challenge of who can outgive the other. I hate to tell all of you non-farters out there, but the average person farts 13-23 times a day according to science. Most of the time it is silent and unnoticed...and happens during sleep when your muscles are most relaxed. If you are in the noticeable 25-40 range, tell your doctor and don't expect me to cuddle you. Just saying 😀 I usually wake when the person gets up to pee, so I temporarily remove my mask to hold them as they fall back asleep.

My only incidence of a guy roaming in his sleep was not during an overnight. He was a regular in his mid 20s who was very stressed and had insomnia. About 30 minutes into our cuddle, I was on my back with an arm around him stroking his back. He was on his side with his head on my shoulder. HE PASSED OUT COLD and had the cutest little snore. After several minutes, he must be a stomach sleeper because this leg heaves across me as he tries to turn over and somehow he got both arms wrapping around my head as though it was his slobber pillow. Dead weight is heavy! I tried to gently nudge 1. so he would roll the other way without waking and 2. so I could breathe! I ultimately contorted like a cat that's twisting in midair toward him onto my side. He let out a snort, became the little spoon and fell back asleep. I catnapped about 30 minutes in the middle of the afternoon until he woke up. Even comatose, you can usually tell if it is a grope or a dream.
