Yes, it is fair. Just different. This is due to the differing experiences of men and women professionals on this site. Most men who become professionals attract no clients at all.
The system has been the same for many years and has been discussed here many times.
The site is based in the UK where discrimination on the basis of nine protected characteristics is unlawful in most circumstances. Sex is one of those characteristics. If the system was unfair to one sex or the other, it would be unlawful and the site wouldn't do it.
Equality Act 2010 protects against discrimination on the basis of:
age gender reassignment being married or in a civil partnership being pregnant or on maternity leave disability race including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin religion or belief sex sexual orientation

Male pros lose money monthly because they don't get clients. Women pay 15 percent of their fees but it'd only deducted once money is made. On paper if seems unfair but would you rather pay 20 on a zero revenue or 15 percent on a 100 to 600 dollar revenue?

If you think you have been wronged, it is always a good idea to do a free consult with an attorney. I know a lot of California Bars were getting sued and losing because they had "ladies night" offering only women that specific price and not the men. Once you do a deep dive you learn a lot of biz owners do not know the laws of the biz they are running.

@CuddleDuncan There is no such thing as fair but different. Different is unfair. Reminds me of “separate but equal” which was used to defend segregation in the US. This is almost certainly a lawsuit waiting to happen in the UK, US and other places. It also has an easy fix. Just add the $19.95 fixed fee to everyone and change them all 15%. Now you make some money from everyone regardless of whether they can find customers. It’s not your job to determine what the demand should be for anyone’s time.

I was actually about to suggest something similar: The above, but having it go towards house booking revenue. So the pro is charged at least the $19.95 per month but effectively not paying it if CC booking revenue exceeds it. It may incentivize pros to be/stay more active . and maybe an option can be added to avoid the fee while in Deactivated status
Or just make it 15% for everyone. What is the difference from a male pro who gets no clients and a male enthusiast to the site in terms of revenue?
@Sooson The fact that scientifically sex is not binary means that treating it as binary is not accurate. And for those whose sex is not easily placed into one of the two main buckets, it's literally in the name... "non-binary".

@RadiantHugs There was an intersex pro in my area. They moved. I honestly don't know if it's available as an option. I think CC lists approx 20 different ways to identify yourself as. But again, when it comes to fee structure, where do you draw the line? The CC pro i referenced above identified as a woman and CC was ok with that (how would they even know? ) Ialso think the rarity of such instences here makes it a non issue.
If you don't understand what non-binary is, you shouldn't be commenting on it.
The utter hubris of the constant stream of men that sign up to be a professional, without doing a bit of research, or even reading the FAQ, pay the professional fee for 3-6 months, and then drop out bitterly when they get no clients basically keeps the lights on here.
I presume that the total income from the percentage charged to actual professionals who have actual clients amounts to less monthly revenue than the super confident, doomed to failure new male professionals.

Anything to the contrary is almost certainly a false pretense. Allowing men to be Pros is a scam to generate some extra money.

I've tried out pro for almost a week now but not even any real views. As said paying 20 a month for a while and potentially zero income from it is tough to stick with long term, maybe just lower the percentage taken for men since their rates much lower as well.
As I understand if you want to make money as a male pro on here, it helps if one is willing to platonically cuddle other men.
If not, then in your marketing you have to ask what do you offer, that can effectively be communicated to women on here, which would cause them to want to spend money on a platonic session with a male pro when they can meet a male enthusiast for free?
As for the fee structure, I suspect like others have said, there is an assumption that most men here aren't going to have many or any clients, especially if they only cuddle women, and perhaps the monthly fee is a way for the site to make a few bucks while new pros test the waters?

I'd like to think that the fee a male pro pays to the site is pretty much free money to the site. A male pro that gets bookings would have to be a unicorn. There is a plethora of gentlemen that are looking to cuddle for free in every city.
