I don’t think there is a value judgement one can use on this. What Olivia wants to use as a vetting tool is her prerogative and how people feel about it is theirs. My vetting quirk was no gingham dresses after Labor Day. Judy Garland in winter is depressing.

Loads of people want to go to space. There is something really fascinating about being off planet. Ideally want to be able to visit different worlds, meet new species. This is why star wars is such a popular franchise.

That's the beautiful thing about capitalism. The wealthy eventually make things affordable for the rest of us. I'm glad millionaires are interested in this.

Just as with the very first flat screen televisions, the very first automobiles, the first practically anything--the wonderfully essentric ways of the wealthy, who always want to be the first kid on the block with the new toy, are able to pay the higher initial price until industry begins scaling, allowing prices to eventually lower.
I agree @TxTom. If I were to consider something like this, I would prepare for the trip by spending six months rigorously preparing myself physically so I looked good for the pictures in my "flashy tight outfit." 🪐
When I was in the military, it was long enough ago that they didn't have a weight management program, but it came in not long after I joined up. I think, at least for women and maybe men too, I don’t know--I have found a lot of men to be more vain about aesthetics than they will admit--anyway, the DoD's approach was all wrong. Instead of height and weight tables, caliphers and measuring people, they just should have taken a page out of Star Fleet's book and gone with tight, unforgiving uniforms that make you look GOOD if you are fit and well otherwise be a bit ... unforgiving. 😁
Seriously though, I as someone who helped administer the weight management program for multiple units I was assigned to, I didn't care for the program. I would have preferred simply have everyone need to pass a rigorous PT test, including push ups, pull ups and a three mile run, with higher minimums and maybe more things like carrying, dragging, and sprinting for certain specialities or elite occupations. If you could pass all of that, then if someone is carrying a bit of extra weight, leave them alone.
Getting a bit far afield here now from the original topic ... I'll sign off by advocating for tight, flashy outfits for the Space Force!

I've always been partial to the Visitors' stylish outfits: portrays a sense of ass-kicking confidence while doubling as a battle dress uniform (BDU).
The Fashionauts' outfits above are okay, but looks more like the Olympic bobsled team.

As a guy who would love to go into space, I can get that she might be talking jokingly about ego tripping billionaires who treat space like the ultimate separation of them vs the plebs. There’s no room for nuance in soundbytes and 5 second quotes so who knows.
In the end we all have our specific preferences. Who we share our lives with or dedicate our lives to is a very important decision. We can be picky.
If it was in normal circles they would be day dreaming no big deal. If it's someone she is running into... They are likely not dreaming but planning and she isn't into "that" level of celeb that flys off on rockets when the whim hits. That i understand. Not very down to earth. 😆
Not sure why wanting to go to space = “ full of yourself” Curiosity is an endearing quality for me. To weed out “ bad eggs,” perhaps asking if they want a meaningful connection or just casual “ here n now moments” Also actions speak louder than words. If someone gives of their time & makes you feel acknowledged/desired that’s way better than the space question!
Consider that she put this on social media and that’s all you need to know. Look at the responses on this lil’ ol site. Now consider the globe—major clicks. She posted it for clicks and content. What everyone thinks about it or if it’s even true is irrelevant.
