Ignorance may be, as we have seen proven, bliss, but it's not the only way of being happy. Seeking understanding is very much not the same as being unhappy.
unfortunately some people will never find happiness
And I have to say, some wrongheaded and ignorant assumptions about me do make me laugh, albeit with an eyeroll.
Nobody said they aren't happy, despite not completely sharing the sentiment behind this thread topic so I don't understand where and why that keeps being implied
I don't smile on command..especially when the people around me are miserable or hatefu
That is a selfie. Are you miserable?
I don't smile on command.
I can but I practice civil disobedience.
Relax Dennis. No one is persecuting you. You believe in smiles all the time and some people don’t. Everyone can agree to disagree on this one….
but I can still smile on command. As long as you scratch behind my ears and give me a treat like Milkbone-flavor pretzels.
I don't get where anybody has been hateful or miserable on here. I hope that's not being implied too ?
@TheFunCartel You found my secret weakness. I'm not much for milkbones, but scratching behind my ears will make me smile every time.
I love how so m e can read me like a b ook..or at least I their heads ..I hope it'provides entertainment
Thank you for making me smile
Still amazed with the obsession with b this thread..if the post would have been carefully read. it would have been noted that it simply suggested that a s imple smile may make the world a better place ..such a radical concept..I must be truly be evil..thats another r e ason to smile..Tom had great suggestions.....stand by for the next post and I'll start applying them
Just saying that if that's all you were saying, that's all you should have said. Don't blame other people for reading everything you said. You also always have the choice of not ignoring or dismissing people responding to what you said.
@dennis22554 I was with you up until this comment here. Please hear me when I say this: misery and hate is also very contagious. You have to be willing to be the change you are asking for or it will never likely happen; it becomes just a pipe dream.
I would argue that smiling on command should be something that you may want to consider. Don't get me wrong, there are times when smiling may not be the appropriate gesture but if it isn't on those rare occasions, you should consider changing your personal policy.
Again, I mean this with all sincerity and respect.
Most definitely an entertaining thread to read indeed ☝🏾 !!!
Yes smiles may be preferred but it’s always good to caution ⚠️ the fact it’s just a case by case basis. If open minded to suggestions, next time @dennis22554 to help you with your “next post perhaps just add a poll for users to take and express their views/opinions so your positive point and view doesn’t end up offending others whether it was intentional or not.) I get it , hard to please everyone sometimes but that is the beauty in having a range of people in our cuddle 🤗 community here so let’s all continue keeping it that way.
@Katota What a stellar smile 😊 and great viewpoints/personal experience added. (Just a little shocked your shirt 👚 didn’t have blade on it to also smile 😃 with you, but I could sense it in my heart 💜!
@IronLemon I think you also had some very good points of view as well, although different from the original posters point of view still very valid and accurate how you and others may feel too. You are still part of the beauty in range !!!
All in all I enjoyed reading all of the responses on here and regardless of opinions the O.P, did get a lengthy discussion going and that’s what the forum is all about so points given there too !!!
~ Happy Cuddling Everyone 🤗 ~
@or very posiyive person and try o.....thank you for your thoughtful point..I would be more receptive to some of your point..historical I am a very positive person and like t o post uplifting topics but as Tom Potter there are a few..always the same group..that attack virtually everything I say...I can deal . the derogatory remarks but it does cross the line when my dog is attacked. One wotuld think a person would take the time to get to know someone before ripping apart a post but it is what it is. As Tom noted..I could post ..I could post about puppies and it would twisted b into something evil within seconds. Its just something I deal with c a loo though it gets old. Thank you again for your post
If you continue to confuse "disagree with" with "attack", you will continue to be a miserable person. If you continue to demand complete agreement, you will never have a discussion. If you continue to attack people for having a different viewpoint, you will continue to be a hateful person. This is the cost of your inability to think other than in extremes.
Note Tom's comment....historical posts..he is by far is not the the first to commentt privately or publically
Yes, what I said applies to historical posts as well.
Fot someone who haanned me..im flattered you like reading my posts
@dennis2254 Are you going to change IronLemon's mind? Is she going to change yours? If no, then all this fighting is just going to result in timeouts for one or both, and what purpose does that serve?
They always provide an opportunity to educate other people.
@IronLemon Except they don't learn, they just take offense. The hardest substance in the known universe is the wall of denial people have about their own beliefs.
@WriterGF Sometimes it's those sitting quietly in the background who gain the most benefit.
@IronLemon Okay, well, I'm not going to get into an argument about arguing No doubt this topic will get shut down like all of Dennis' other topics do, because of all the fighting.
@WriterGF No argument here.
Though somehow I feel like there should be ...
A
... or we can just smile through it(?)
The only time it’s okay to tell me to smile is when I’m about to perform on stage for an audience.
@dennis22554 people aren’t going to smile at your when you call every person “hateful and miserable “ for not agreeing with you, or being able to understand your very jumbled text. Some of us also come from cultures where you don’t smile at strangers, or for photos.
