How important are profile pictures to you?

  • You might find, like I did, that just associating with people here may lead to cuddles IRL. I’ve found since joining CC that when I suspect one of my friends is tactile, and I mention CC in casual conversation, whether they want to cuddle or not, they definitely want to talk about the site.

It’s like it opens a door. People are curious. And sometimes they’ve been waiting for someone else to make the topic okay. Just being open about being here can create connection, even outside the site. So even if things feel a little uncertain right now, you’re not silly for being here. You might be ahead of the curve.

Watch out for the New Order people. Keep it pure.

  • @Brayyy do you have any non selfies taken straight at a mirror? Try some of those or a photo someone else takes. Outdoors photos are good too and smiling is definitely a plus!
Yeah finding a fellow enthusiast is super hard especially if you’re living in a smaller city. Heck living in the tri state area here is impossible. Paid is the way to go especially if you need human touch.

  • @Brayyy It looks like you are about an hour away from Asheville, where there is a very active cuddle community. I second @Curvynaps idea of finding non-pros at cuddle parties. I sent you a message with some additional info if you would like to connect with them.

  • I don't have a picture of myself cuz I don't like the way I look, but I always send one with my first message to help cuddlers know I'm a real person. Though I actually like the idea of having a profile picture of, say, a hobby; seems like that would be better than having nothing.

  • just a minor thing but for mirror selfies I would recommend cleaning the mirror first for a higher quality pic!

  • @hugsnotbugs98 A picture of a hobby is indeed a lot better than having nothing.

For me, when I look at the scant amount of people in my area, what I mostly see is a bunch of faces that look pretty much the same to me, except that some of them look pretty unfriendly. And when I get curious enough to actually look at their profiles, if the picture isn't too off-putting, it's almost never more than one or two sentences which say nothing about them.

  • I'm open to talking with almost anyone but eventually pics do matter and I have two things I consider.

    1. Meet Me Where I'm At - Right now I have two clear face pics. If we're planning to meet in person even before meeting in public I want you to meet me where I'm at by showing a clear face pic.

    2. Looks don't matter. Presentation does - This is judgemental but most phones have front facing cameras and lighting is not that difficult to figure out. Your photos are collectively reflective of you. If you're just taking a picture in front of a dirty mirror or with a pile of dirty clothing on the floor that reflects how much effort you put into yourself. Your picture is your chance to put your best foot forward. Do you want that to be a dirty foot?

@zalea That's true. I took some of those quickly just to have pictures on there tbh. I plan to make things better eventually

I'll probably have someone help me get a picture

  • @AL3XGage_06 I don't have dirty clothes on the floor but it's true that two of the pictures have some smudges on them. I took them to have filler pictures in place and then made this post soon after

I don't like selfies very much because of lens distortion. It's kind of a me thing

I will update pictures though. Thanks for the feedback

  • @Brayyy yeah I guess I should've specified I was giving some very generic advice that goes across any platform where one might have profile photos. The mention of dirty clothing in a pile wasn't directed at you, it's just something that pops up rather commonly and helps get the idea across of putting some effort into presentation.

  • @AL3XGage_06 no worries. I appreciate the advice all the same.

  • I think think posting a profile photo adds a layer of transparency and is an individual u choice. The same thing applies to profil descriptions. Meeting virtually adds a c third level. Ideally people should be as transparent b parent as possible prior to meeting to reduce risk at a number of levels.

I don't mind if the pfp isnt the person, but it's weird when there's nothing. Either way, if the person doesn't offer a photo relatively quickly, they aren't worth my time and are probably trying to be a creep. You profile looks great and is well written. I'm sure you'll do fine. What makes you uncomfortable regarding paying a pro? Just curious.

  • @AshleyGene I have a tighter budget at the moment and I also would like to comfort someone who needs it. It's not really all about me. I like listening to people and making them feel better. It's extremely fulfilling for me

I might try a pro eventually. It may be to get a better understanding of how to be a better cuddle partner though 😂

We'll see. It would probably be a good experience either way, so I may try it

  • No pic or profile is a skip-a-roonie for me.

  • I don't base anything on looks but at least one actual picture of yourself is necessary for me.

  • Pictures are important because I believe if you don’t have one you’re probably hiding something. Also if I get a sense of discomfort looking at your photo, I pay attention. Some guys look so aggressive! Smile guys!!

I think your pics are pretty good....what could make them better for reaching out to other enthusiasts (vs pros) would be to add more smiling ones. Smiling is more inviting for potential cuddle buddies 😁😎

Your profile seems very genuine tho, so GrEaT job with that!! ☺️🤗

  • @Amelie I have definitely seen some photos that make me step back. Some just have aggressive looks on their faces. Not something that makes me feel safe.

For myself, I have no public photos of myself for safety reasons.

  • As all can ascertain from my profile, I really don't like having pics on my profile at all

Oh .. and @TheFunCartel … you got the pic back ! Yay 😁
