Not posting a profile is a personal decision however, one should recognize that does make your profile less transparent than one with a photo supported by a detailed profile--for people researching profiles---therefore, it might be advisable to include caveats. For example, "profile photo available upon request" so you don't get overlooked.
@Immersedwarmth She was a pro at the time. You can see pro pictures without joining the site. And they wanted to get paid, though I did not pursue what the arrangement was. She told him where to go and ended up quitting the site herself not long after.
I don’t judge a profile if it doesn’t have pictures. People have lots of reasons for not wanting to have their face posted publicly. I do however question someone if they are unwilling to send me a face pic when trying to schedule an appointment. Or if they want to wait to move offsite before sending me a face pic
Im not hiding anything. I just think I'm ugly. Hence, why I'm on here and don't have a girlfriend to cuddle with.
I care less about whether or not there is a picture on the profile and more about if they're willing to send me a recent pic in DMs. It's good to be able to put a face to a name, so to speak, and it helps with safety measures when meeting. While stock and meme pics can be fun as profile pics, they're really not any different than not having one at all. It can sometimes be a conversation starter or catch people's eye, but it's not necessary to form connections.
That said, most people are both overly anxious about online security AND undersecured at the same time. There's a lot of misconceptions about privacy and the Internet, so a lot of the measures people take ostensibly to protect their privacy is basically useless. At best, most standard security measures people use provide plausible deniability - not actual privacy.

@ABigNobody93 Wow! Damn. 😕🤐
tried to blackmail her
😒☺️
@WriterGF Yeah, I had that blackmail fear in me years ago when I first started internetting. So I didn't post pics of myself for a while. 😊
Then I was like, if they're gonna blackmail me that will be a huge waste of time. Lol 😆
Many people know about my being here, some don't know about me being elsewhere but others do. As for my job, well housekeeping (as well as many other blood, sweat and tears manual labor jobs I have held throughout the years 😊) is viewed as a very small, insignificant and invisible type of profession that many employers won't even bother to look no further than a drug test and background check. ☺️
Lol! Most of them can't even do that right, so. Yeah, I am good employment wise too. 😆👍
So. Here. I. Am. 😁
Privacy for many reasons
I don't agree with this assumption at all! It doesn't matter why someone wants privacy. It only matters that others respect it. However, if they're unwilling to share a private photo, that's a HUGE red flag (in my opinion).
I am visible in my community and prefer not to spend the energy fielding questions and comments from people who just wouldn't get what CC is about.
I do not hesitate to share pictures with other members who ask for them. 🙂
It could be that they're trying to protect their career. Even if you block public visitors from viewing your profile, it's still possible that someone from your work could stumble across your profile.
I have been reading through all of these replies, since the initial "assumption" was made. So, finally I feel the need to reply. Here we go... GUILTY AS CHARGED. I am married. I do love my wife of almost 30 years. I took a vow. Yes, being on here, in itself, may be pretty straining on the sheer meaning behind that vow. That, I cannot argue with. Why does my wife no longer enjoy the intimacy and cuddling? IDK. Have I tried? Sure. So, I guess with knowing this site is for PLATONIC cuddling and fulfilling that crazy human need for touch and being close with another, I felt it should be a SAFE SPACE for judgement. But, before passing judgement, ask yourself... "do I want to ride into the sunset without holding another?" ...guessing, the answer would be "no." Options? DIVORCE? HURTING MY SPOUSE? (I LOVE people - hurting anyone intentially is kind of "out of my wheelhouse" let alone someone in my life for over 30 years.) Luckily, I have made a couple very understanding friends here. Only cuddled twice. Friendship/chats, etc... replace physical touch? No, but it goes a long way. An honest, kind word or compliment... very good for the heart I work in a very male-dominated field and receive pretty much zero gentle, soft-spoken, daily confirmation from a caring female that many men (not all and not in a bad way) probably take for granted... at the workplace, professional acquaintances, etc. Am I a bad person? .... I sure hope not. I would do a lot for strangers and ANYTHING for those I love. So back to the picture.... yah, mine is witheld. But, the friends I have made on CC, or trying to establish... they all get them. I am not much to look at but out of fairness, I expect nobody to chat and be my friend without knowing who they are chatting with. I think this SITE was established knowing married people need hugs and cuddling as much as anyone else... here's to hoping each individual cuddler inderstands that as well, even if it is outside of their comfort zone, etc and not where their cuddle time will be spent... that is choice, not judgement. Happy times to all ❤️
