Memorial Day is the holiday in which Americans honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of our country. I feel awkward reading “Happy” associated with death.
Veterans Day is the holiday where we give thanks to all the service members and their families for protecting us and keeping us safe.
I don’t mean to be pedantic or cause a fight; I just think that a certain amount of solemnity is appropriate on the day that we remember our fallen.
