Worst/bad/rude initial message from a potential client?

edited July 2018 in Pro Cuddling

Mine so far?
“hey does next week work”
My reply?
“Excuse me?”
No hi my name is… No hey how are you? Heck, he couldn’t even use a question mark in his initial message...but I did in my reply.

  • That's nothing and is actually a pretty typical message to receive as a pro, since most men who message a pro see it as a business transaction and not the start of polite conversation. See this thread.

Yeah, that's completely normal. For me personally, when I book a service the first thing I do is ask availability.

That said, cuddling is a very personal service so perhaps it's reasonable to have a different expectation of initial contact.

Well, yes to ask availability is of course expected at some point in the initial contact, Well I consider my cuddling more personal I guess. I’m mean at least a hi or saying his name would be a little more sociable. Cuddling in itself is not like booking a haircut appointment or a dental appointment etc... and even then when I do those king of appointments, I call & say hi, how r u? My name is so and so and I’d like to know your availability for next week.

It’s supposed to be to giving comfort to someone, a personal touch.

I’ve heard bad stories from some of my clients, like the cuddler got up to turn the tv on so she could watch her soap operas, or they started texting or calling someone in the middle of the session, or laying there like a dead fish saying to him, well your the man, you’re supposed to initiate and cuddle me...or just laying on their back smoking a cigarette. Those actions leave me speechless.

  • @Kai816 - Amen! Being personable in the initial messages helps based on my experiences.

And I agree nothing is worse than a disinterested pro cuddler -

    Great minds think alike ?

  • @Kai816, I sent that as a first message to a pro when I first joined this site and we had many sessions together.

  • My messages are generally very short. I’m really not into silly small talk. It’s not necessary for me.

  • @Morpheus my apologies. This discussion was not posted in the correct forum.

It’s not about the length of the message or as you call it “silly talk” throughout your contact with someone you have been cuddling, I am talking about when a member first contacts the Pros on this website. Such as getting a message from someone who has never messaged me before saying “he was close and what was my availability for that night.” At 11:58PM. I am not some all night “professional” if you get my drift.

We, as pros, and definitely the female pros, often get rude or deviant first messages from potential clients. Initial contact and follow up messages don’t have to be long. You can simply say “Hi. I’m ———- I saw your profile and would like to book a session with you.” Simple.

  • I don't mind to the point messages; I prefer them actually. Recently, however, I received a message that seemed it was meant for someone else? The person was protesting being asked to supply a picture and came off very aggressively. I didn't even know how to respond.

That, to me, is a negative first impression. The other strange first impression is someone sending constant messages before you've had a chance to respond or have only responded once; it comes off as a little much from my perspective.
Other than that, most have been fine.

Agreed. Short and simple, or long, it doesn’t matter. But potential clients and their first message to us shouldn’t make us feel like pieces of meat they’re picking up at the grocery store.
