Why & what reasons are people “banned “ from the site !?

Because the owner and their appointed determine it is their best interests.
@reurbo mentioned some possible reasons someone might get banned here:
-- breaking the Terms & Conditions for using the site (requesting or offering non-platonic services, blocking a Pro from attempting to collect fees for Client a cancellation)
-- uploading or sharing inappropriate photos (sexual, nudity, vulgar) either on their profile or in a PM
-- creating a fake account or trying to scam other members

There are a number reasons someone will be banned. Some common ones are: 1. Fake account= They are pretending to be someone or in a certain city, but really they are 1,000+ miles away or even another country. They could be talking with multiple people telling each they are coming to their city the same weekend regardless of where they are. We recently had a fake account trying to get as many members as possible to come to a specific place at the same time.. having all of them meet up while the person running the fake account wasn't likely to show up as they were 800 miles away from where they said they were. 2. Scammers= They are not listed as Pros yet try to charge a rate to see them. The catch is they will require a deposit upfront first, usually half the the total session, and demand it be sent through something along an itunes gift card before ghosting the person. 3. Dating= They come to the site thinking it is a dating or hookup site and attempt to use it as such. 4. Non-platonic services= Attempting to use the site for as a hookup site or for other illegal services. 5. Inappropriate photo(s)= There are some basic guidelines for uploaded photos, but some still upload things not suited for platonic cuddling. 6. Underage= If a member is found to be under 18 they are banned from the site.
There are more, but I won't go into each one.
While I agree that this is not a dating site, connections will sometimes form. Not even the omnipotent and all-powerful @reurbo can stop that.
Agreed. However, this is really the terms-of-use of the site. No one can dictate what you do. Period. However, if it comes-to-light, that someone has violated the terms-of-use of the site, then the owners of the site are within their rights to refuse-service in the form of a banned account. Don't take it as if the owner and mods are on power-trips. Even if they are, it is within their rights to refuse service to whoever they choose. It's not a democracy here. In spite of how we all might feel, about how-things-work, around here. But, again, I agree with your statement about someone telling you how or how not, you can act. Shrug? No-brainer to me.
