Is this a common occurrence? Vent about pro experience

edited June 2025 in General

I’ve been on this site for six years and had my first pro cuddling session scheduled for this morning, but I feel like I got played. Sorry if this type of post isn’t allowed, but I’m curious if this sort of game happens often?

The pro kept asking to meet (we’ve been talking steadily since January and initiated conversations over two years ago) and last night we agreed on an 11 AM session for this morning. I used this site to request the 11 AM time, but she didn’t respond for a while and suggested that we move conversation to texting. After I confirmed last night on here and via text, she stopped responding, so that made me a little nervous. But I get it, things come up.

This morning at 10:32, out of the blue, she asks if we’re still on and I was a little surprised, because she’s about 25 minutes from here and I never gave directions or my address. And since she didn’t respond to my messages asking to confirm, I assumed she just bailed out.

We go back and forth a bit, but the communication isn’t clear and I sense that something isn’t right. She eventually says she’s coming, but then a few minutes later she says she doesn’t have cuddling clothes. I suggest that it’s okay, but we can reschedule if she’d rather. We agree that it’s okay and we’ll still meet. She randomly says she’s waiting at a location 10 minutes from here at 11:00. I ask for an ETA and to for her to please confirm if we’re still on, and I gave her my address, that was at 11:01. She doesn’t respond.

At 11:14 she just texts me “ready (:”. I look outside, just in case, but no one’s here. I figure, maybe she’s ready to leave her last location and come here. I tell her that I’m also ready and I wait outside just in case.

At 11:25 she sends the following message

Been sitting here for a minute, I feel like another day would be better for ya! Maybe even if it’s just a massage when you get back into town ❤️ I am professionally licensed and have a spa room but also travel to the client as well.

I was really confused, because I was waiting outside and no one even drove by and there’s no one nearby.

Did I just get played?

She also has four 5-star karma and we’ve been talking for over two years, so it’s not like it was a new or suspicious looking profile.

UPDATE:
In the process of typing this up, I got some even stranger messages that further lead me to believe that I got played.

After she sent that last message above, I responded with

I've been outside looking for the past 10 minutes but didn't see anyone. I think I'll pass and good luck with everything!

She says “alright, have a good one.”

I thought it was over, but she just sent this message:

Hun, you never gave me an address.. lol I've been waiting at Walmart.

This was 12 minutes after she said to have a good one. I don’t feel like going back and forth any further.

I like to give the benefit of the doubt, but it feels like she never fully intended on showing up, and that all of the odd conversation patterns since last night were her way of trying to get me to cancel the session, or to drop a hint that she wasn’t serious.

I was extremely hesitant to book a pro in the first place because I’m not rich and the whole ghosting and flaking game gives me anxiety. Now I may never try booking a pro again.

What do you think? 😕

P.S. Most of the pros who I’ve talked to on here initiated the conversation, unsolicited. Is that okay? I’ve heard mixed things about that sort of activity, whether it’s against the rules or not. Can someone clarify?

  • If you never gave an address why would you expect her to be there? She was ready for you to give her the address. Did I read this story right? A lot of first time clients flake, that’s why I ask for a deposit.

@quincyq03 Did you pay the pro a deposit? If not, the only reason I could see for her to scam you is if she got cold feet for some reason. Did she have any karma?

Also, if you have visited a pro's profile, they are allowed to contact you. If you have not visited their profile, then they are not allowed to solicit business from you.

  • He gave her his address at 11:01 ... which I personally would never have done after the crazy back and forth the night before and the time before he gave his address.

Report the pro to the mods and lock your doors.

In the 30 or so minutes leading up, she kept sending mixed signals about if we were still on. I don’t send my address until times and meetings are confirmed. I’ve given someone my address and immediately been ghosted numerous times, so I wait until everything is confirmed.

She never actually confirmed until she said “alrighty.”

Before that she said she didn’t have cuddle clothes, so I was fully expecting her to cancel.

  • He gave her his address at 11:01 ... which I personally would never have done after the crazy back and forth the night before and the time before he gave his address. Report the pro to the mods and lock your doors.

That was my thought. I was 99.9% sure she was going to flake, so that’s why I didn’t give my address earlier. When she randomly claimed to be at a store near me, I felt bad and gave her my address. If she had driven all the way there, I wasn’t going to leave her hanging.

  • Is it a common experience? No. Never happened to me. Not even close. Write it off and move on.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

How could she know she was near you if she didn't know your address?

  • Hey @quincyq03 sorry about all the bad communication.

Did you pay? Forgive me, I didn’t read all of that.

  • How could she know she was near you if she didn't know your address?

She knew what town I live in. It’s in my profile. Last night I asked her if she was okay with traveling to Moore for the cuddle session, knowing that she lives a few towns over.

hey hey, I'm not saying I'm taking a side. If you didn't have a good experience with this pro I do suggest trying another. If you need to create a report feel free. The mods are listening. Reach out if you need. - Stormy

Edit: talking to the OP I am understanding what he's saying a little more. I'll be sure to help. Venting about Pros in general isn't allowed. However, he seems to only want clarification. I'm unlocking this as long as it doesn't turn into a pro bashing session. I hope the OP can have better interactions in the future.

Edit edit: asking for clarification on experiences is allowed. The title and the content have a tiny bit of a contrast so I admit I did take it the wrong way on the first read through. I don't think the OP did anything wrong. To be clear.

  • I am not a fan of lack of communication, I am sorry you had this experience :(

  • edited June 2025

@quincyq03 yes this does happen. I've had somethibg like this about a half dozen times.

  • At some point I would think someone (either of you after exchanging numbers)
should have called the other to clarify what the actual situation was… versus playing it by ear and allowing it to get so far gone.

    Follow up questions -
Why would she drive towns over without the physical address and wait in a parking lot ?

And if she has karma how does she not have appropriate clothes….

    Super sus to me.

  • Anyone that’s started out with flaky communication has led to time being wasted. If they are iffy about booking a session, they’ll be iffy the day of.

Thankfully that’s not been a common experience for me on here :)

  • It doesn’t appear that this booking was made on the site. There’s nothing we can really do here (except issue warnings for booking off-site). It’s the pro that needs to ensure that the booking is made via the booking panel, so this isn’t really a criticism of you, but the first two mistakes would be taking communication off-site before a booking is made, and not actually booking on the site. You are just setting yourself up to be scammed at this point.

I agree with @CharlieBear. Don't move forward with any session that was not officially booked through the site. That's how you get scammed.

She doesn't have cuddle clothes? Um... What? Super sus.

  • Sorry to tell you, but this has all the markings of a scammer. Weirdo communications and mismatched timing, shady as can be. I've not had that interaction here at CC, just stood up a couple of times or being ghosted altogether once arriving. But this is another level.

I can tell you I have had this exact scenario playout before coming here. A cuddler from Reddit pulled this on me once. Said she was on her way to the hotel. But 2 hours later she hadn't left her house. Needed deposit money to get gas for the drive. I was so naive. She texts me again 30 minutes later saying she's outside but can't find me. "Where are you?" "I've been trying to find you..."
    Chills. Totally freaked me out.

Quite obviously there was never a legit person here. And I had to change my cashapp. I hope that kind of game hasn't infiltrated CC but it's something to def be aware of. If it smells fishy it probably is.

There are soooo many quality pros here. My success rate is like 90%. Don't let a bad one ruin it. But exercise caution. I think a "pro" has only ever reached out to me first a couple of times. One of them was banned the next time I viewed them, lol. But it is rare for sure, and all the more reason to be leery. Check reviews and your spidey sense.

  • I'm sorry but what "pro" doesn't have cuddle clothes. That's odd. I hope you didn't pay her in full before the session occurred. If it was just a deposit maybe she would be willing to move it to a different day or refund it. It seems the lack of communication was a big issue here.

  • Back and forth for two years?! Dram? You shoulda stopped the conversation after a week , looked for another pro, scheduled for a date , time , place and duration. Any correspondence that needs to last more than two weeks.... just move on!

  • Kinda looks like 1 of you 2 might use a texting app and that the address messages didn’t go through. Or could just be a scam. Who knows.

I’m with @myeyes on this. It’s unclear who is “getting played.” How long does it take to plan a cuddle session? Did you pay this person for any of her time over the past two years? Your post raises other questions but whether you “got played” isn’t one of them.

This may come across as judgmental and that is not my point. Interactions with pros are transactional and your post illustrates something else.

Tbh I'm not sure why this site takes such a sizeable gratuity from pros while not offering any form of verification or vetting process for the people using it. It's slowly been becoming more of a haven for both creeps and scammers these days and I'm not really too keen on using it anymore.

@Ripley54566 Pros are required to share their IDs with the site. Beyond that, there are no legal standards for professional cuddlers. They're not required to have a license, etc. In the same way pros have to vet clients on their own to see if they are safe/reliable, clients have to do the same thing with pros. It's not a regulated industry, it's caveat emptor on both sides. I haven't seen the OP state he paid a deposit, so all he lost was time ... the fact that he was talking to her for two years before arranging a cuddle would seem to suggest time wasn't a big issue for him.

(Just as a side note, had this cuddle gone ahead as scheduled, CC would not have gotten their "sizeable gratuity," since the session was not booked through the site like it was supposed to be.)

  • I’m in the “move on” camp. If you didn’t lose any money to this person then great. But your time is valuable too. Spend it well

  • yeh it’s confusing. I get that it’s frustrating to set this up and it not work out but the pro didn’t gain anything from all this. It seems like poor communication at worst.

  • This is much ado about nothing. There are great pros out there, average pros, bad pros, flakey pros, and the list goes on. The one thing they have in common is they are all human…or so ChatGPT tells me. People are messy and unpredictable and not everyone is a fit for you. People are also wonderful and the best tonic for what ails you at times as well. Learn from this experience and move on.

Bottom line: if you do this long enough you will encounter a flake, a scammer or a hustler. Learn their tactics and if you smell a rat, then block that rat.

@TheFunCartel Thanks for saying what I was thinking but couldn't put the words together.

  • It looks to me like she has a booker, and you were talking to him, and that's why the messaging sounds so off.
    stay away from that one

  • @TheFunCartel

very true i feel like i have a 6th sense for time wasters now

  • Pros - My learning is this a close personal service offered by real people. Consent and good communication are key and sometimes vibes don’t match and can mix up meetings. Sometimes that can be messy for both folks. See what you can learn and book like you do a massage appointment
    Confirm date available
Confirm rules and cuddle boundaries with pro
Be freshly showered and fresh breath
And let the pro lead 😎

    All the best
