Frequency of cuddle sessions.

Hello everybody! I was just wondering what you all think is the appropriate amount of time to ask for another cuddle session if I just had one?...it was heaven, but I could use another... all opinions valued! Thanks for your time :)

  • As soon as you like given each other’s availability

It is up to you. Once or twice per month sounds right.

  • I try to be generous and have long sessions at nice places so (after an initial spree) once a month at most keeps me in line lol

  • @Alexneedsahug
I don't think "appropriate" plays into this question. It's booking a service in a professional capacity, and you may do so as often as you wish.

However, I would recommend that you let your wallet decide how often it is wise to book Pro cuddlers. Men have become addicted to this sort of thing, so proceed with caution.

Another piece of advice often given here is to see multiple cuddlers...don't let yourself get attached and dependent on one.

Lastly, of course I recommend looking for a fellow enthusiast who you can become friends with and cuddle because you both want to, without any monetary exchange. 😊

Best of luck and I'm so glad you enjoyed your cuddle!

  • Some do once a week or a few times a month, it's whatever you can afford. I don't think its something you can overdo.

  • “Men have become addicted to this sort of thing, so proceed with caution.”

100% agreed, especially when it’s getting harder and harder to meet people let alone on dating apps (don’t get me started). For me though, it’s a much better alternative to traditional therapy where you sit and talk with someone charging over $200/hr that wants to see you every week to try to get to the root of your issue and resolve it but never really getting there. That’s for me though; I know a lot of people really do need to see a licensed therapist for their conditions, but I personally have spent years running in circles with psychologists when really all I needed was a good cuddle here and there. Yes, it’s expensive and you could easily lose your shirt if you get carried away, but it’s important to realize what your limitations are and by all means don’t go into debt for cuddles because that will just create more stress and defeat the purpose of cuddling.

  • I would add that all of us, men and women, can become "addicted" to cuddling, and the warning is wise. I have five regular cuddles buddies (enthusiasts). They are content to cuddle once a month, but that works out to about once a week for me (it could be more if I had the time and resources). Since I am the one securing a room, it can become quite costly over the month.

  • @Immersedwarmth
You're absolutely right, it could be either gender.

As for the cost you're incurring, I think it would be perfectly fair to ask your cuddle buddies if they're willing to pitch in for hotels. Enthusiasts should share any cuddling costs, in my opinion. These aren't 1950's dates...I go Dutch with my cuddle friends whenever we eat out, go to movies, aquariums, etc. etc. I never expect men to pay for me.

If you are open to it, and depending on weather, outdoor cuddles can be a wonderful and completely free experience. With a picnic blanket and pillow (or heck, a memory foam slab if someone wants), a big shade tree, and a bit of confidence, park cuddles can be shockingly comfortable. I love the fresh air, and the spontaneity of wildlife. 🌬🪻🦚 🦋 🐢

  • @Alexneedsahug as long as you are keeping a professional distance and are honest with yourself and her (catching feelings) I don't see why you would need to wait for another session. I personally wouldn't take issues with a call back right away. Some weeks are harder than others and sometimes we just feel like we could use more support. I feel like that's what we are all doing this for. There is an exchange of oxytocin when you cuddle with someone... That's a bonding feel good hormone. Its good to be aware of that. Happy cuddling friend.

  • If I could cuddle every day I would.
Ideally it would be once a week.
Realistically it's more like once a month.

@SunsetSnuggles No, this isn't the 1950's, and I'm sure my cuddle buddies would gladly pitch in for the cost of a room and have stated as much, but I'm still very much "old school" and will always pay for our cuddle space (unless they can host at home). My cuddle buddies often bring snacks /meals (our cuddles are usually 4-6 hours), so I'm not complaining. :) It all works out in the end.

As for cuddling in a park, that is a reasonable suggestion in some instances. My first cuddle from CC 8 years ago was in a park. It was a great neutral place to start. There are a couple considerations, of course, which you noted - weather being a huge one. In my greater cuddling region (Sacramento and down the valley, over to the Bay Area), summers can be dreadfully hot, hitting over 100+ degrees, and the winters can be cold and wet. And some of my buddies don't feel at ease wearing their PJs in public (their preferred cuddle-wear). Finally, a place that doesn't have a major homeless population or multiple dogs-off-lease needs to be considered. Still, a safe, clean public park is a noted option. It ultimately comes down to the comfort, physical or otherwise, of all parties involved.

  • @Immersedwarmth
I'm glad they've offered to pitch in, and do so otherwise by bringing snacks, etc. Sounds like you've got the dream set-up that most guys claim never happens...a gaggle of regular enthusiasts! Good on ya, mate. 😎

The heat is a definite concern, when outdoors. I've had good luck between shade trees and SUV cuddles with the A/C going, when needed. I wear leggings that are comfy enough to sleep in...but comfort is always my top priority with clothes, so that's not cuddle-specific. 🤭

Here's to more happy cuddling, wherever it may be!

  • Maybe a weird question but what does a cuddle addiction look like? Like if you weren’t paying for cuddles, can you cuddle too much? I guess so if you just don’t leave bed and engage with the world.

If you are paying I suppose chasing cuddles outside of your means is indicative that something is wrong.

I’m going to need a cuddle food pyramid of how many of each platonic human touch I’m allowed each month so I can make sure I don’t fall into the dark temptation and OD on snuggles. 😅. I’m joking here but my initial question remains serious. What does a cuddle addiction look like?

  • I've had a morning cuddle return the same night 😂

  • If I could afford to do it every day (or multiple times a week), I'd probably do it unless I was busy with something else. It would most likely be with multiple different cuddlers. As I've probably said before I'd love to have the means to book every pro in the area (whether hosting or guest, visiting or a local) and then go off on a cuddle trip across the states with both pros and enthusiasts. However it's not that often in reality. I'll have a pro cuddling session maybe 1 or 2 times a month or every 2 to 3 months depending on what I can afford without sacrificing things I actually need to pay for. Luckily I met a few enthusiasts (most of whom have left the site for one reason or another) and those played into it. Though due to schedules not matching up or them just simply being "done with cuddling" in general or not having the time anymore, it does not happen often either.

So I don't know if there is a real answer to the OP's question. I often think I'm in the wrong area and if I lived in other states I'd be able to cuddle a lot more often.

  • @Elrondish posted: "what does a cuddle addiction look like? Like if you weren’t paying for cuddles, can you cuddle too much? I guess so if you just don’t leave bed and engage with the world."

That's a great question... I've only seen men post about it within the context of going into debt for Pro cuddles.

I think you've got it with the cuddling in lieu of engagement with the world.

Anything can become addicting...video games, scrolling on Instagram, eating chocolate, collecting whiskey bottles... 🤭

I think often money is an indicator of when things are really bad, but addiction can be free, and simply a time suck... If it affects your life in a negative manner, yet one continues to pursue it feverishly, it's a problem.

So I agree with your assessment...if someone were focused on cuddling enthusiasts to the exclusion of seeing family or friends, or forming other meaningful attachments, if they miss work to make cuddles, if they lose interest in their other hobbies and passions, and cuddling were to take over all their free time to a degree that negatively impacts their work life, social life, or adult responsibilities, then it could be an addiction, even if they don't pay their cuddle friends a dime.

I've not seen anyone post about this, but I imagine it's happened.

  • You don't have to ask for another session if you never end the first one ;)

  • @Elrondish I wonder if we all don't have a little bit of an addiction for cuddles? After all we are all after our next fix of oxytocin, right?

  • @SunsetSnuggles a nuanced take! It helps affirm that the bumpers I’m preemptively building in my head are likely to be preventive of excess reliance on the cuddles.

@MTex jokingly, it’s true! I need my next hit, it’s been a week and a half and I’m still averaging a cuddle every 6 or 7 years! I’m basically famished!

But a more serious take is that, we’re not addicted when we drink water because we’re thirsty. We might be addicted if we’re drinking so much water that we might drown. Seems the harm to moderation relationship is the key.

  • @MTex
For real. 😅 I am often asked if my boyfriend doesn't cuddle me enough, and my answer is always the same...I get cuddles every single day...I just want more! My cuddle cup is full, but why wouldn't you want more with friends you care about?

    @Elrondish
You sound very wise. 😊 And six or seven years? Crikey, where do you live, we need to meet up ASAP...

  • @SunsetSnuggles fortunately averages decrease quite quickly! but I’d happily cut that down faster at a zoo or park if you’re in the area sometime!

I had a cuddle session every weekend in June & I feel like it was barely enough. I need more! 😏 They average about 4 hours but you blink & it's over.

  • I try to do once a week when I can.
I call it recharging my cuddle battery, lol
I have been known to drive & fly out of state for a great cuddle experience.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

Well, I've had one in two years, so probably due :)

  • I've been cuddling as often as possible. Being very selective and making sure any potential cuddles have a history, friends and karma. I've recently had a Friday then a Saturday then a Sunday and a Tuesday cuddle. So as much as you like is right

  • edited July 2025

I cuddle my gf every day but I always want more, I am a cuddle hoarder lol, for real though I could sit in bed all day, just cuddle and be on the computer or watch tv, that to me is heaven, which I do often.

  • Every day would be grand if I had somebody close or was living with somebody. Or some cuddle buddies. Otherwise it gets kind of costly. Before I had all the stress factors I went through in Life about 2 to 3 times a month for about 3 to 4 hours was Good enough to fill my Cuddle and hug tanks as we would say. As life got more hectic and stressful. I wasn’t doing much of any cuddling and had more anxiety being social sometimes. As well as dealing with the bad knees before the knee replacements. Now that the hardest parts are in the past I would probably love once a week. I’ve also have taken road trips for Cuddle sessions. I haven’t found what would be enough at the present moment.

  • I need a whole lot of down time to appreciate being social so really don't need nearly as much cuddle time as some other folks claim to need (important to distinguish want vs need as so many people act like it's something much more detrimental than actually is)!

  • @Bear >I haven’t found what would be enough at the present moment.>
(Not sure why my quotes are coming out funky)

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly with this!
Ideally, a daily cuddle or even a morning & evening cuddle would be more like it! My pup is my daily cuddle right now 🐶🩵

  • @MTex great minds think alike. Actually my world would be so much different if I didn’t have my present for baby Cuddle. she knows when I need it more than ever because she’ll come up and park herself right behind me back to back at night time. Then sometimes she’ll be on the opposite side of the bed and just come up and snuggle me and when I give her attention, she plops on her back and wants her belly rubbed. She is so adorable.
