Can i give a gift to a Pro that I've seen multiple times? nothing fancy but does it break professional etiquette? i know they would enjoy it(we've spoken a lot).
It could be accepted well or it can be a huge red flag to them because you misinterpreted their signals. I would not bother with a gift unless you were certain because the gift can be seen as a stalker type move and you need to be certain that she understands this is a platonic gift.
Thanks for the advice @TheFunCartel , much appreciated
It doesn’t break any rules, just read the room if you have a good rapport then it’s like a top appreciated. If it’s a diamond ring that wil bring a smile to anyone’s face, but I suspect it’s not.
If you're afraid it will come across as boyfriendish then don't do it. And if you do then make sure it's same protocol as you would give to a coworker or business relationship. I just cuddle with friends, no real questions about boundaries with that because you already know each other where you stand with them, so if we are out or just chilling I don't mind paying for food or entertainment or whatever. But I don't give them stuff. Unless it's a birthday or Christmas then I may give them something small if we are hanging out at the time.
@Alexneedsahug I think you are treading on a slippery slope that requires some deep thought. I heard that this is not a dating site so make sure as FunCartel referred to that your gift is not misinterpreted. If you absolutely know for certain it will be received in the right way go for it. If you are hesitant you should back off. Good luck.
If it's inexpensive, only mildly thoughtful, and marks an occasion (birthday or the unavoidable end of the cuddling connection because somebody is moving to Timbuktu) then you're probably fine.
If it's expensive or super-thoughtful there is a risk it will damage the connection beyond repair, and therefore isn't worth it.
What's possibly going on is that you are very grateful - which is normal - and trying to express that emotion. If that's the case, then you'll be better off talking it through with her.
I’ve given gifts, they are often appreciated but I keep them small and inexpensive, just to avoid any confusion.
In general, I don’t like giving stuff - my preference in gifts are usually food, experiences, or something perishable. That way someone doesn’t have to sit and worry about what to do with it later. I’ve taken chocolate to a session, aromatherapy candles, even essential oils if it’s someone who I’ve cuddled before and know their preferences. I’ve avoided flowers, stuffed animals, alcohol, or cash.
I’ve received a lot of little gifts throughout my snuggles and it’s always a very sweet thought. Something like a flower, or cute socks or costume jewelry. One cuddler gave me pepper spray lol if it’s coming from the heart of friendship, I’m sure they will appreciate it ☺️☺️☺️ I’ve given little gifts to my cuddlers too. It’s a two way road lol
I love receiving gifts! 🥰🥰🥰
I may give them something small if we are hanging out at the time.
👋😁
@pmvines So looking forward to receiving my (3rd little gift) of Bruce Lee VHS tapes from you friend. 😆🫂
Lol! I can't play them due to my no longer having a working "properly" VCR anymore. 😁
😆
BUT! ☝️😁
I will happily accept them and put them up on my shelf (somewhere) AND dust them off weekly because they are a thoughtful gift from my friend and cuddle buddy: PmVines. 😁🫂
One cuddler gave me pepper spray lol if it’s coming from the heart of friendship,
Fabulous gift indeed! 👍
I’ve given little gifts to my cuddlers too. It’s a two way road
@Sheena123 So have I and it is indeed. 😁👍
@Katota
Hey I gave you Alice Cooper don't forget ! You did give me Metallica but who's keeping score 😂
@pmvines That is true Friend, hence why I said 3RD GIFT! ☝️✌️
😁
We're not "even"as friends, and I still want those Bruce Lee VHS 📼 tapes regardless. 😜😁
Seriously that was very thoughtful of you🫂, even though you didn't know that my VCR finally died at the time of purchasing them. 😇☺️
I have given small gifts to fellow enthusiasts. And I have received coffee & meals that they have graciously offered.
Who can pass up freshly baked cookies when offered
A severe diabetic.
Amazing
Definitely read the room! If in serious doubt, then maybe don't.
Knowing myself and my eye for "little things" I could see something like this coming to mind: perhaps I've visited with someone a half dozen times and maybe she has mentioned loving the old Smurf cartoons a time or two. So, for $5 I pick up a classic Smurf figure like the one attached. Still, if in doubt, maybe not.
Presents I have gotten. Massage guns (3) an electric heating pad, a tazer, mace, food food and more food (frozen berries, bananas, soups, chipotle, restaurant to-go food), a card, a succulent plant, wood carvings, sandals, 40(estimate) boxes of pasta. One client gave me the funds to get a massage that was AWESOME.
the number one thing I get the most often is weed. I don't smoke though, so usually in edibles form.
I don't mind as long as it's not all the time and I feel like I can say please no more without it being weird.
But probably the best thing although it's not as fun, is just a cash tip.
Crazy talk in here! If you feel hesitant ask her. As long as it isn't an inappropriate gift it will be appreciated. One of my favorite cuddle partners of all time would bring me honey and oranges because we were both garden nerds, and bonded over that, but I didn't have one, and it lit up my day 💚
I've had a cuddler ask me to make an Amazon wish list once during our session and that, who knows, maybe he may surprise me from time to time. And that he did do on 3 occasions. Twice just because and the 3rd to cheer me up cuz he knew I was having a bad week. All were unexpected and when I thanked him via message he told me that he just appreciates me and for me to never change the person that I am. He truly thought I was an amazing person and just wanted to show his appreciation and to put a smile on my face. So it really was a kind gesture and greatly appreciated. If yall have a great friendly relationship and understanding, then she won't see it any other way than you doing something nice for her. Good luck and happy cuddling! 🤗
@friendlyj311 That's awesome!!!! Definitely taking notes. I would love to use this method for cheer-ups.
I’ve had a couple pros basically ask me for a gift. Like hey it’s my birthday, what are you gonna buy me? I’m like lol nothing. I had one pro that would text me from the bar and ask me to venmo her cash and buy her a drink. I’m like sorry I have a wife and a daughter so I have all the sugar babies I can handle lmao
I’d be careful with gifts as it could be taken as some sort of sugar daddy arrangement which is not allowed. Some people will try to give gifts as a form of payment to get around using the booking panel, which is also not allowed. If giving a gift is a way to show affection and you are hoping to develop a relationship beyond being a client, I would advise against it. Don’t set yourself up to get scammed.
Use common sense. Make sure you are at a level where you know what type of gift would be appreciated based on their interests and the level of friendship you have built up with the cuddler. Explain the reason for the gift (birthday, a common interest shared, simple appreciation of who they are) and make sure that it is understood that the gift is given with no expectation of reciprocation. Using those basic guidelines, I'm sure the gift will be well appreciated.
Have one pro who loves books - have given her copies of some of my favorite stories and she was tickled with them.
Probably the safest answer to OP's question is that gifts are perfectly fine if they're something appropriate to the recipients interests (matches her hobbies) rather than being generic (like a bouquet of flowers). Also matters if the gift is associated with romantic/dating (like the flowers again).
