Perverts masquerading as cuddlers?

I'm a female, and just wondering if any other ladies out there met cuddlers who are taking advantage?

In my area, been on some internet dates and many turn out to be just out and about for sex, which is annoying.

How to suss them out and avoid being taken advantage of?

Been on the internet for over a decade, so am not some gullible little girl..

  • Btw, I always meet in a public area, but for cuddling definitely not so possible haha.
  • I would suggest you to talk properly before meeting the person. By talking properly I mean having a real chat, getting to know each other, at least their background. And it's important to have a clear agreement about what to do and what not to do. If you say no to sex and they back off, you know what it means :)

Clear communication about intentions is supremely important before cuddling with a person. Cuddling can be wonderful and relaxing, but it is still an intense, vulnerable activity. Whenever we let someone touch us, we shift power/control to that person (for example, little spooning requires facing our backs to someone). That can be scary, which is why clear communication before cuddling, during cuddling, and after cuddling is necessary to maintain trust. The golden rule in any physical activity between/among people (platonic or sexual) is Always Get Consent. We can never assume what our partner is okay with. Here is a great video about understanding consent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JwlKjRaUaw

Gerdanni, it looks like the people you have engaged with may not prioritized communicating boundaries and intentions. My advice is to look for partners that are open to speaking over the phone before meeting. Start a conversation about consent, learn about what brings you both to cuddling, and exchange cuddling experiences- keep the conversation going for however long as you want until you feel comfortable meeting this person. A good cuddling partner will prioritize your needs in order to be comfortable. Hope this helps!

    Hugs,
    Anna

  • if there are some females charging for cuddling, how can that be perversion?
  • @Kuddlebunny I just checked your link on consent and really liked it. Maybe everyone should insist that potential cuddlers watch it first.
