Any wild herb/plant foragers/harvesters here?? THE CITY DECIMATED, TO DIRT, THE ENTIRE PLOT OF MOTHERWORT that I depended on!!! I'm HARMED!!! lolol I KNEW I should have just taken it all!!!

I like to tincture herbs in vodka, but some people use apple cider vinegar as a menstruum, or extractive liquid. I wish I could use Wild Turkey, but it doesn't seem to do as good a job...

I didn't post this in the "I'm urked and you're gonna hear about it" thread because this is REAL PAIN!!! lol Now, I've got to go hunt, AGAIN, for some Motherwort growing!! Pain...

Any foragers/herbalists here? Wanna talk? Share tips, tricks, and tisanes? :)

I've, luckily, found clusters of other herbs--- after seeing what happened to my precious Motherwort (Leonurus Cardiaca), I'm no longer going to "sustainably harvest"--- I'M TAKING IT ALLLL!!! lolol

LOVE to hear from those who enjoy wild-crafted herbalism!! I've found specific places where I can gather UN-SPRAYED Chicory (FAR AWAY from roadways), dandelions (leaves AND roots), Red Clover (Women's "biagra"! lol), Turkey tail mushrooms (on decomposing wood, for immune support), 2nd-year Mullein (in flower), and one that I won't name but KEEP in my home!!

Care to share the plants that make your own life easier? :)

  • Awww that bites :( hopefully you find more soon!!

The inly Herbalism/Alchemy i get into is in Dungeons and Dragons in the world I'm making hahaha -- it's always nice to learn more, though :)

I haven't heard of Motherwort. What does it do to you? Is it just taste? I have heard of Mugwort, which i like, as it can enhance your dreams. So i make tea out of it

  • That really sucks. Especially if it has complimented your health and helps support your self care. It sounds like you also help others.

I will put good money that they eliminated them because Motherwort is an invasive species in North America, and if you have ever had mint in a garden or a yard, you know how quickly they can take over.

However, Motherwort can be easily grown indoors from seeds.

  • I can almost never choose a favorite anything,
but dandelion is perhaps my top favorite plant 😢

@fluffy_gamer ~ It DOES bite!! lol Thanks, though, for the empathy! :) LOVE that you're already familiar with the magic of Mugwort!!! I use it sparingly because some of MY dreams make me feel like "Ready Player 1"--and that hoe gets on my nerves!!! lolol Motherwort tastes like Satan's ass, so I can't use it for tea!!! lol But it is RUMORED to have heart-healthy benefits...* I am not a doctor. @TheFunCartel ~ Now THAT'S a thought!! Especially with heirloom seeds!! I didn't know it was considered invasive, though. I will SURELY be TAKING ALL THAT I FIND, FROM NOW ON!!! lol Alllll the reason I need to... :)

As I approach retirement, maybe THIS is the New Direction/New Phase I should look into.
