@InfiniteJoy conditions required for accidental INTELLIGIENT life to form are astronomically insane, no gambling man would bet on the odds of a single cell forming by accident. so to say, that accident happened TWICE and way more complex is just as naive. (I personally think it happening once is insanely improbable and therefore intelligent intervention is way more likely).
Among us on Earth? Almost certainly no. In our solar system? Possibly, though if it were native to the Sol system it would likely be microscopic. Is there sentient life elsewhere in the galaxy, or in another? I cannot believe there isn't, given the unfathomable number of stars out there. Unfortunately, interstellar distances are so vast that we will probably never encounter anything.
@mistic233 yeah, very interesting stuff. Listened to the Joe Rogan podcast he was on. He's been awfully consistent with what he says over several decades. That and the government raiding his home while he was on the podcast
There is more intelligent life out there. The International Space Station can view objects coming in and out of our atmosphere every day. The government knows about it, but they deny it, not allowed to do any disclosure.
Earth is somewhat like a prison. Far away from the rest, weak bodies, without the resources and technology to go far. Think about it.

I have always liked the theory that they don't necessarily come from other planets but from other dimensions. But that's just me.
I have always believed in the other dimension concept. Our brains, perceptions and everything about our senses are limited. And whatever is coming from other planets is probably not in a form that can be perceived by us.
I once, on vacation on the way out from the beach, dipped a Corona bottle into the ocean gathering sand on a whim in an attempt to create a sand and ocean water souvenir from the beach. I wanted to be able to see the sand and the ocean in the bottle in one setting. (Like an ant farm)
2 hours into the trip home, small scary creatures the size of a pinhead of all kinds started popping up from the sand into the water. It was frightening. They weren't just curious little things we see all the time, they had tubes (mostly like bugles and french horns with fins and eyes from all sorts by the hundreds.
The point is, the life we deal with everyday isn't everything. That small bottle happenstance gave me a lesson I won't forget. Suspend your categories for a moment.
When one swallows and tastes ocean water, we aren't just tasting salt, you're consuming strange life. Life fits the alien definition in many forms.
