@SnuggleHavenRC I've had a couple good virtual sessions, we did eye gazing and I listened while they vented about some things that they needed off their chest. Also a good way to break the ice before an in person.
Payment for me is usually through cashapp, venmo, and very rarely PayPal. I don't do Zelle with people I don't know well as its meant for friends and family. I have also done an invoice through Square and sent that to them to pay.
So, how much should I charge for a virtual cuddling?
I hope to get a sincere request for a virtual session one day, all the ones I have gotten are definitely looking for more during the session.
Virtual cuddles here. Sometimes people simply need the company. A good convo to let down from the day or comfort from the events of the day. Maybe someone to fall asleep with on the phone. Connecting
How or what app do you use for virtual hugs video calls
I had someone recently ask for ASMR experience for a virtual call… no idea what I would do for that so I declined. Has anyone had experience with that?
@SunshyneHoney a lot of pros use Signal since it’s the most secure. Some also use SnapChat video. Zoom is kind of annoying to use because if you don’t have a premium account you have to split up the call in 30 minute segments
@SunshyneHoney So far, I have used zoom, google meet, Discord and skype.
I LOVE ASMR!!! But it would certainly require some training and/or practice before you would offer it as part of a repertoire.
To be honest, I don't really understand the draw of virtual cuddling....BUT if ASMR were part of it, then I could see how fun it could be.
no ads - Stormy was here.
No ads! @LexiCuddlezz ! - Sid was here.
apparentlly I typed this out and never hit send.
@lisa2cuddle I've used these Free: SnapChat, WhatsApp, Discord, FaceTime (since I don't have an iPhone, clients send me a link to the call) Also Free: Telegram, Line
Free limits if you don't have a Paid version: Zoom (40 minute limit per call), Google Meet (60 min limit per call)
~~~~ And even though @mathilda93 deleted:
How much to charge is totally up to the pro but I recommend it being less expensive than in person of course. For an hour, I do just a little over 50% of my normal rate for video calls and a little less if it's a phone call.
🌸 I actually offer virtual cuddle sessions too! I host mine through Microsoft Teams, so it’s easy to connect no matter where you are. 💻
If someone prefers a lighter option, I also offer phone sessions: they’re great for people who just want a warm, comforting chat or a chance to decompress after a long day. ☎️✨
It’s all about creating a cozy, calming space whether that’s in person or online.
I am against them. Not tech savvy enough
Okay, here's a question for the virtual cuddlers: I am a newer cuddler and am looking at options to build up my karma. Does virtual cuddling help build karma (provided the sessions go well, of course) the same as in-person cuddling?
I came here wondering what this thread would be about and came to find so many different insights and situations I didn’t think of! Kind of cool to see such a big community here.
Even though I’m new to the site a friend of mine told me about the idea of it and first thing that came to my mind was accessibility! Like there are so many nuances to think of in this aspect when we think of the world affected by COVID but also other factors that could affect physical connection and I wondered what would be offered here in that respects. I think it’s cool so many people are offering virtual alternatives
@MasonDixonCuddl I meant to answer your question earlier. All of my karma (at least at the time of posting this) is off of virtual cuddling. Now my goal has never been to raise karma, but it has been a fortunate byproduct. Is it the same "quality" as in-person? I don't know; i guess maybe to some but not all(?)
However, I would caution going into virtual cuddling with the mindset of simply karma-farming; that should never be the point going virtual.
@GuyverGordon that is an interesting take, and a good one. I never wanted to relegate myself to virtual or professional cuddling only, but a little bit of good Karma never hurts anybody. Yes, I have enjoyed a few real cuddles; they feel much better than an on-screen chat. Thank you for your insight!
Virtual cuddling great with someone who can reciprocate a wonderful relaxed conversation. When they are as easygoing as you are it just flows effortlessly.
How do I start offering virtual cuddle sessions? It seems that in the service menu you can only offer 1 event that is 1 hour ? Does anyone know the workaround this? 1 hour in person & 1 hour virtual … how can I have both on my profile ?
@Starlush Welcome to CC! You can list your virtual session and rate under your profile information. Once the client sends the booking request, you can adjust the fee to match your virtual rate before accepting it. Hope that helps.
Big fan of virtual cuddles!
I love doing virtuals with people that I will hopefully get to meet in the future. It's a great way to get to know somebody that you might never have the opportunity to meet in person. I also do a free one before every new in person cuddle session (it's a requirement for me before I commit). They help me and the other person more comfortable before meeting so that we don't feel like strangers when we meet for the first time. I feel like it's also a great way to pick up on someone's body language and intentions! If someone is not willing to do a virtual with me or me in person before the session, it's a red flag for me.
"Virtual” cuddling is like getting a virtual vaccination. Utterly ridiculous. Cuddling is about warmth and platonic touch. You cannot get that virtually.
No but you can get some connection and some comfort. Just because it does nothing for you doesn't mean it is "utterly ridiculous".
@RickBrooklyn Don't knock it til you try it. Even text cuddles are surprisingly relaxing & comforting. Some of us don't have the luxury of being able to have an in person cuddle whenever we want. These alternatives are definitely a good way to connect with others long distance.
@RickBrooklyn Being dismissive of something that has worked for others is like a blind man refusing a cure because light might trigger a migraine. In other words, dismissiveness is utterly ridiculous.
I wouldn't mind trying
I am following up after having had a few virtual cuddles. While not in person, the conversations between myself and my chosen pro virtual cuddlers all went extremely well. For any still unsure, you should try at least one or two. I usually limit to 1/2 hour cuddles. I can assure you the time goes quickly, and it is a definitely acceptable alternative to in-person cuddling when that doesn't suit for whatever reason. Happy Virtual Cuddling!
Interesting to see the various perspectives on virtual v in-person cuddling. If only we were all close enough to meet! Crazy to think that for the millions of people in my state I might need a virtual cuddle from someone hundreds of miles away...but I'm considering it!!! Sometimes, good people are hard to find!
