    @Katota
I believe it sometimes hits women a little harder than men.

    πŸ˜†

@Dance_Culture Lol! Perhaps, that's the penalty of pregnancy/child birth. But you know even women who don't give birth, still experience Menopause. πŸ˜€

    Ain't that a b🀬tch?! That surprised me too. 😯😁

But men experience it too, after all "by society standards" men are ALLOWED to get old. Women are expected to remain "young with the same waist size" even after giving birth to a bunch of children. Lol πŸ˜†

    Again, society standards. 😜

Perhaps that's why many women are in denial of experiencing Menopausal symptoms, perhaps it just seems "embarrassing or shameful"....πŸ€”

"Oh that never happened to ME!"

    "I don't know what You're talking about?"

    Lol. πŸ˜†

That's the kind of denial Mama had to deal with from countless women (who were her age and older at that time UNTIL she finally went into that clinic and learned about Menopause for the first time in her life☝️😊), Mama called it 'Menopausal stupidityπŸ€ͺ " and she quickly advised me to ignore a lot of that and (for Me to) know that every woman goes through it...The only ones that are exempt are women who have had their ovaries removed at a very young age. 😁

That's what the nursing/medical staff in the clinic told her many years ago! 😊

Mama also advised me to get in touch with my gynocologist just in case what she recommend doesn't help me. Lol πŸ˜†

"Katota, they'll give you something STRONGER! πŸ’ͺ
Call ya, Doctor if you have to! " Lol πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

  • Some people age like fine wine. I seem to be aging like bad cheese.

    πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

@Jubal Lol. I understand that, sometimes I see my self in between the two. πŸ˜πŸ‘

I know there is a male menopause, I just can't remember the name of it ...πŸ€”

@Dance_Culture Ain't it called Andropause? Anthropause? Lol πŸ˜†

I do recall reading, that even men get hot flashes too! πŸ”₯😁

That deserves a Google for sure! πŸ˜πŸ‘

  • @dennis22554 πŸ˜πŸ«‚

  • I'm sorry-did you say "when I started LOSING body parts"?! What horrifying part of ageing have you gotten to, sir?! Are you okay?!

  • I know there is a male menopause, I just can't remember the name of it ...πŸ€”

Should be menopause because men are in the name. I think the clinical term for men’s menopause is β€œmid-life crisis” with symptoms ranging from cavorting with 20 year old sugar baby females to overpriced sports cars and expensive toys to peacocking like a 20 yo while popping viagra in unhealthy doses. Other symptoms include comb overs, wearing overly tight shirts as a flex and pretending the beer belly they worked on for 20 years doesn’t exist, and buying gym equipment more for display than use.

Sometimes I have a hospice patient who is my age or younger. I currently have one who is 11 yrs younger, and last week lost one who was only 4 yrs older than me. That really does make me think sometimes that I could be much closer to my end cycle than I realize. Which does cause some anxiety at times. Makes me want to do a complete overhaul on my health and body, and tie up all the loose ends that always seem to stay untied. Life stuff just keeps lifing.

  • I’ll let you know when it happens 😊

Actually the first time I felt old (very briefly) was when I was around 40 and was going through a checkout line. The cashier noticed a piece of clothing I was buying and she remarked, β€œyou will really like that, my dad has one just like it and he loves his”. πŸ˜‚

  • @SlimBrown62 😎 I got carded the other day. The restaurant wasn’t that dark, so I’m convinced the server was angling for a good tip! But even so, she put a smile on my face anyway.

I’ll answer the question more from a mindset perspective. Age became more of a reality and a concern for me when I looked around one day and realized that most of the people I knew that were my age were spending most of the time living in the past rather than the present and future.

Age has its obvious signs and limitations, but that one seemed the worst to me.

  • I'll let you know when I start to notice lol I was surprised last month getting carded at a casino when I was going with my family (including my 21 year old brother). Maybe a few things I can sort of see are some grey/white hairs on my hair and face, the fact that my metabolism isn't as fast as it used to be so I gained a little weight these last 7 years or so (still working at that), and maybe the tinnitus I seem to have gotten from too many concerts without ear protection. Still I feel young at heart.

  • When I realized I couldn’t thread a needle without reading glasses! I was 41. Now I am 50 and I am more secure in myself than I ever have been.

  • When you stop getting carded.

Actually I still get carded if I am alone but not when I am with my older friends. 🀭

  • Many many years ago but embacing it now. Looking forward to getting my free Tube (Subway for my American friends) pass in a few weeks. I wonder how many use it to get to punk gigs? - ha!

I woke up with muscle pain or crook in my neck out of nowhere.

  • I feel like I keep having to remember. Like others have said, my mind doesn't realize how old I am. Then I think I can do something I did when I was 20. Spoiler alert: I can't. 🀣

I've been going gray since I was 18 (genetic trait, thanks mom and dad), so that wasn't a good warning. I think somewhere in my 30s when you started to get screening tests at doctor visits that you didn't used to have to get, and then joints stop working the same way you did. You have to stretch just to move instead of after a workout. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

  • I first noticed when the statute of limitations expired and my poster was removed from the post office.

  • Should be menopause because men are in the name.

    Lol. @TheFunCartel I agree. πŸ˜πŸ‘

  • Haha, when I started getting white hairs growing in my eyebrows 😲 and then again when I turned 50 and my body started changing a bit 😳. I try not to pay no mind to it and look at age as just a number. I feel it's what you make of it. But to all you younger cuddlers, take good care of your health and bodies because it's harder to do later on down the line πŸ˜‰

When cocktail waitresses and bartenders started calling me sir; when Al Gore invented the internet; when scientists started demoting planets and mountains: and when younger generations began giving themselves letter designations. 😁

  • [Deleted User]gem7 (deleted user)

I don't really feel like I am getting older, more like I am ripening.

  • when Al Gore invented the internet

Obviously BS by Gore, but we would never have discovered ManBearPig if he hadn’t had the testicular fortitude to spectacularly lie like it was scientific gospel.

I knew when I had to get a wheelbarrow for my testicles.
