Does this interaction sound like a scam?

I think I just avoided giving my home address to a scammer.

I made a booking with a zero-karma pro cuddler. She accepted it, so I gave her my phone number.

(A couple of the cuddlers I've previously met have used proxy phone numbers before meeting in person, which is totally acceptable, and safe for them!)

However, she used an icloud email to text me, not a phone number. It weirded me out for some reason. So yesterday I ask her to give me a short phone call just so I can verify she's real- before I give her my actual home address. She agreed, and said she'd call me in a bit. The call never came.

Today (day of our booking), I asked about it. She said she was getting food and would call me after. Again, she never called me, despite saying she would multiple times... and I am unable to call her as she isn't using a real phone number.

Then she goes MIA, and finally replies 40 minutes before our booking time asking for my address. Again, totally ignoring my request for a phone call. (That seems weird too. Legit cuddlers will want to know the drive-time further in advance.)

I told her _"I was looking forward to meeting you, but if you're not comfortable calling me, then I don't want to meet". _

Am I being crazy for thinking this is just a scam account looking to steal personal info? Or worse?

Side question: Just in case she was legit- I went to go formally cancel the booking here on CC so she wouldn't owe fees, but it told me I'd owe half of the booking price. That is not fair, I asked her yesterday for a phone call first and she agreed to do so. Am I really going to owe that?

    Of course there are usually 2 sides to this type of occurrence but I have no reason to doubt your honesty. So you could report everything that happened to the Mods. If you have messages, send those also and say that for those reasons you will not be paying the 50%. I wouldn’t either, she didn’t keep her promises. Btw, has she contacted you again and asked for the payment?
    Mods will research her history on CC.

    A lot of people who cancel last minute for no logical reason never pay the 50% though ethically they should. But if it happened as you say, I wouldn’t pay it either.

    She definitely was going to scam you!! As a pro cuddler it’s our job to make you all feel comfortable and safe too!

    If something seems sketchy, it's better to avoid or back out and find out it was legit than to find out it was a scam after all. I'd bug an admin about that fee thing. Seems like something they might understand

    I’ve never had this happen with a Cuddle situation. Yet I’ve met many people online from different sites. Things I’ve learned to be careful about. Are somebody not willing to video call or audio call or give you a email as a phone number.

    I just checked and she looks like a scammer and is likely using AI photos. I suspended her for an identity check.

    @av_adam I cancelled the session from her side.

    Doesn’t sound right. If she is not willing to talk on the phone or a quick video call sounds suspicious. Plus I would want to know the address for drive time a head of time.

    Never heard of someone paying 50% after a cancel. Guess it is new but should be avoided in your case if you have the convo. But next time cancel well in advance after the word isn't kept the first time. If they have an excuse say to call and then you will do a booking request after. But there are pros who don't do calls ahead of time. But they need to say so ahead of time and just respect it whether they give a reason or not. By respecting you don't need to meet for a cuddle or you can meet still. Choice is yours from there on whether you really need a phone call. I personallu don't give my number until at least second session. I don't care if I lose clients that way. I have a cuddlng stalker already I am still dealing with. He has my real number unfortunately. I usually do a google number at first but that didn't go as planned.

    @WriterGF theres nothing wrong with zero karma pro cuddlers. I mean when they first start none of them have karma. The no phone call is the issue and that happened to me kn here. Wouldn’t do a video chat, claimed camera shy if we could just do audio call. I said if you’re shy to be on camera then you’re too shy to cuddle. Their profile got banned a few days later.
    Video calls are always good to verify identity

    Could be some kind of scam, but more likely somebody who thought they were up to being a professional cuddler, but is finding the reality a bit tougher than they expected. It's very common: many people who sign up as professionals abandon ship very early on.

    I think some people are fooled by the fake beauty, heavily filtered photos. IMO those are major

    A.I. is going to be a MASSIVE problem in A LOT of instances. I already wonder if I'm paranoid in A LOT of areas of life. That's not going to be helpful AT ALL!!
