I wear a diamond ring with the eternity symbol, a figure eight on its side, on my ring finger daily. I gave it to myself it's a reminder that if I want love it's within me and I'm the only person that will always be there for myself to rely on. I have a personality that loves every soul in the universe, but anyway that's how I see myself in regards to being loved and having love in my life. I have to love myself every single day.
True love comes from knowing yourself and loving yourself. It's an outpouring of that self love that allows you to serve others if you choose, allows you to understand your worth so you won't let anyone else tell you what it is or where it comes from. If you can stand alone and love you, well... there is no greater love. If we truly knew how beautiful and amazing we were the world be less hateful. We need each other to an extent but all of us actually walk alone and should be able to make peace with that.
What is love??? Baby don't hurt me.... No more....
"I'm not a smart ma but I know what love is."
"I wanna know what love is, I want you to show me.."
True love!?! First and foremost, no relationship is just going to work because you truly love someone. True and real relationship are not perfect by any means. We are always evolving and growing. With that said a real relationship that can stand the test of time takes real effort, real communication, authenticity, honesty, and patience
@dennis22554 Just figure out how to be happy on your own. If it happens, it happens! If it doesn't, at least you were happy?? It's A LOT of unnecessary stress and drama so just B-E H-A-P-P-Y and call it "great"!!
@d t own..a relationship may or may not entail ..true love.......conversly. by its very nature true love requires work to ensure its survival
@SunsetSnuggles ..late post......seems like you found it...you define it well
@SunsetSnuggles that's beautiful
You can find happiness with out true love...but with it...its like adding strawberries and chocolate syrup to pancakes ...a lot sweeter
@SunsetSnuggles , I think you did a wonderful job describing something that is very hard to put into words. A couple of things I learned after my 1st marriage. I looked back years later and had to admit I married way too young as my parents had to sign for me.
True unconditional love ❤️ is VERY hard to find.
I don’t know what the definition of true love is but I do know that I’m very happily married. I have been for many many years and we will always be together. I trust my wife to have our best interest in every aspect of our lives and I can’t say that about anyone else.
Unfortunately, relationships all too often consist of one or both parties figuratively cutting off pieces of themselves to better "fit" with their partner. Then one day they wake up and realize they aren't themselves anymore.
👍👍👍👍👍
@WriterGF This is SO TRUE! 😁
And I also hate feeling like a "sacrificial fool", when it all goes to sh💩t in the end. And it does and I hate that feeling, and I don't want to FEEL THAT ANYMORE! 🫣
Hence why I say, my first time being married will be my last. 😁
My truest loves have been platonic.
Love is simply energy
I definitely believe in "Love at first sight". Many, many years ago I had a really good online friend. We had known each other for years on a text -based game (before graphic cards, kids!), before we finally met in person.
We had a group get-together and I'll never forget opening the door to her standing there. It was like a sucker punch, for both of us. We were able to share it for a while before "fate" intervened and she became the "one who got away".
@ lovingspoonful and Pmvines I agree with both of you. Thank you for sharing. I'd like to add If the Sun would cool down to let you touch its surface. Only for one time. Would you. ? My answer is YES, I'd rather Wonder more about when can I touch it again? Then wonder what does it feel like to Touch. 🤗
