Ooh @tom_in_nc, I like that one 👍🏻
My only worry with that is you have a lot of emotionally fragile people here who may not respond well to dislikes, and/or you will get people who are solely hunting likes.
My goodness I would love if the page with all the messages could just be a CONTINUOUS scroll, like the other social media platforms... instead of a bunch of different numbered pages.
And also that messages that are "read" Don't just suddenly disappear to a latter page.
The ability to categorize messages/pin them to the top would be supreme, but maybe that's too advanced?
I would also love if you could favorite someone's profile from the messages instead of having to go to their profile for it.
I just wish that this site would do exactly what I want it to do exactly when I want it to do it no questions asked
@pmvines I was waiting for that. Even though it’s not my website, the owner and admins should spend millions to accommodate all my needs. 😬
I really wish we had an app, because there have been lots of times someone wants a last-minute cuddle, and by the time I see the message, it's too late. I miss a lot of money because of it, and so does the site.
@MistySins Not sure if this helps, but:

@Bear I have an iPhone13 and I only view the site on my phone, never computer. I don’t know if you want to do it this way but I always have the tab open in the chrome app so I just tap on chrome, tap on the cc open tab. And it pops up. I never sign out of the site either. It’s basically asleep while I’m not active I guess. When I have the site open, I can swipe down and get a back button like, same as for any other website. I hope this makes sense.
I would love if we could Archive messages instead of deleting them. And also pinning conversations to the top. Continuous convo thread instead of multiple pages
I think the website could be improved in the messaging; a quality of life improvement would be to make it truly instant. Currently, when you go to the messages it loads up the current messages, which is great.
But it doesn't keep checking for new messages once you are on the page. It would be nice if the page would periodically check for new messages and then update the page in real time. This would reduce the need/desire to take the conversation offsite.
Also, for an even greater need...
It's not really a greater need, but I would really love it if...
Messages should be able to use gifs ...
...just saying. 😄
The first thing that needs to be done is remove profiles that have been inactive for certain amount of time.
@partsunknow When you do a search, you can specify how recently the person has been on CC. That way, you don't waste time on people who are not active. People frequently take breaks from this site, sometimes long ones, and then come back.
The first thing this site needs to do is change the name. I say make it Cuddle Cave because it will keep the claustrophobics out. And I am not claustrophobicphopic; I just do not need screams of terror in my ear once the siege is successful and we enter the pillow fort’s tight confines for the first time.
@WriterGF I understand and agree with that. I am thinking more in terms of software quality. It does not make sense for inactive profiles to be taking up valuable online real-estate. From end user perspective it only creates an illusion that there are 100+ cuddlers within 5 mile radius of me, and filter down to active profiles I only find a few.
Another recommendation I have is- how about a verified badge? I do not mean a monthly subscription or something but rather an one time RIDP check to validate that you are who you claim to be.
@MistySins Yes, I completely agree with you. People barely use computers anymore. It's all phones and apps. We need an App please.
@GuyverGordon Wouldn't it be nice to see "GuyverGordon is typing..." prompt live in the messaging section if you are in the process of writing a new message.
@partsunknow I definitely see the point in terms of verification. I think the reason they shy away from that is that there are a significant number of people who don't want it known they are on this site and don't trust the site to keep their IDs safe (see Ashley Madison). Some don't even want to show an ID to the person they are cuddling with, which is a little ridiculous. I think there is good sense in verification, but membership would certainly take a hit.
@partsunknow Why would I want to know when I am typing? I already know when I am typing ... 🤪
... in all seriousness, yes, it would be nice to see a prompt letting me know that the other person is typing as long as there is a response once the message (and prompt) is updated once done. Otherwise, I might wait a really long time to respond or refresh the page multiple times to see if the message came through.
Have regular profiles go through a screening, this will keep only platonic members.
@cuudledragon I'm not sure I understand. What are they screening for? And there are a lot of profiles on here for the volunteer mods to go through every single one on a regular basis.
The thing about screening is the predators learn what the screening’s preferences are. Kind of like mandatory test scores for schools—the schools start teaching to the test rather than the subject.
@TheFunCartel I've certainly seen things written in profiles that warranted a raised eyebrow, but I doubt would have led to a ban. More likely, a mod would have just told them to edit the text.
A "mark all as read" button would be very useful.
Some pink lemonade while perusing the forums and checking messages would be delightful, any chance CC could Uber that into happening ?
I'm not sure if this is already been brought up but the title should be changed from "professional" cuddler to "paid" cuddler since there's nothing professional about it. There is no training, no certification, no background, et cetera. This the new title also starts with the same letter you wouldn't need to change the identifier
“Professional” can refer to an individual that is specifically trained or adheres to a code of conduct.
But it is more often used to mean someone who is paid for their service. 🤷♀️
And technically there is a code of conduct, the terms of service. If people don’t adhere then they get banned.
@craM According to Dictionary.com, professional is defined as "following an occupation as a means of livelihood or gain." Says nothing about certifications or licenses. I'm a professional writer - I've had over 100 books published - I don't have a license or a certification that says I am a writer. I'm a professional because I get paid to do it.
@WriterGF people come to this site with the wrong intentions, and its really easy for someone to just recreate a profile. If members not just pros have to answer questions before joining, it will only invite people who have good intentions. Cuddling is for cultivating human connection and mitigating loneliness. Its also a temporary bandaid for any pain experienced in someones personal life. But there are a lot of people who join with the wrong idea. I know the argument will be that questions won’t reveal someone’s intentions, but honestly, before every cuddle I do phone calls with people, and because of this I have avoided countless malicious people. I even created a checklist that quantifies if someone is a risk. I have yet to have had a bad experience or meet someone who didn’t take me seriously. People who are looking for a “fun time” when really they mean s3x are typically in a rush and not interested in answering questions to get there.
@cuudledragon Or someone will answer the questions, get rejected for being here for the wrong reasons, and then share the questions so other bad actors can give the right answers. Way too easy to cheat on something like that.
@WriterGF no filter to enforce platonic interaction is perfect. Inevitably you will still need reporting and the mods. But its worth a shot, and implementing it will allow for improvements to be added later. Shutting down ideas isn’t going to make the site better. On a side note, I don’t see how someone would be rejected for the wrong reasons…..unless someone said something really stupid like, “I just want to see a girl in shorts alone in a room with me”. Which honestly is a clear red flag of not wanting a platonic experience.
Also, the mods should be paid. Most of them are volunteers. 15% of the money from pros goes to the site, but the mods are unpaid? Where does the money go then…..
On a side note screenings work. Don’t just eliminate the idea without knowing how it can be implemented. Thats why cuddlist is able to establish itself professionally. All of the pros have to go through a training. Clients should go through a pre-screening on the site too.
