You're attempting to justify revenge, silly
And you are just angry and it shows. @g_w_t_w is correct. You are engaging in sophistry to mask some anger and are venting. Not everything is prejudice or stereotypes or revenge no matter how much you stomp your feet and wish it true. Sometimes it is simple common sense and judgement used by an individual when a said group consistently violates your boundaries.
I am disengaging from this because you are certainly at the very least being disingenuous and distorting everything people said—including taking @muddlemand ’s quote out of context.
@TheFunCartel
Yay! You got it! The person is turned off by a SPECIFIC BEHAVIOR.
NOT a gender.
@Briiyan don't feed this vines troll he does not have good intentions as evidenced in thread after thread
[Already timed out for personal attacks. -Sid]
"And you are just angry and it shows."
Looks like another assumption. Try again. You got this. 👍
[Baiting. Do not. Re-read those forum rules in timeout, @Briiyan -Sid]
Yay! You got it! The person is turned off by a SPECIFIC BEHAVIOR. NOT a gender.
A gender is a group. If you are repeatedly disrespected and violated by said group you avoid that group. Apparently you didn’t get that bulletin.
You can't say I'm taking @muddlemand out of context without describing the context that you believe I should be taking. 😉
@pmvines That's why I've provided usernames, so you understand who I am replying to. Sometimes conversations evolve. 👍
@Catfursonmyshir
I'm the troll here? Based on my previous forum contributions is that right? Sure man, whatever you want to believe, because your mind is beyond fixated and I wouldn't be able to change it anyway. However I'm always open to actual evidence of your rhetoric if you are able to slow yourself down for a minute to provide examples.
@muddlemand I apologize for your thread being dragged through the mud. Blocking is a personal choice and if you do not feel safe, you do not need to explain it to anyone. It was a great discussion for most of the day and I hope you find a compatible cuddler soon.
I didn't say they couldn't avoid a group. I said it's prejudice to assume everyone is a part of a group you dislike.
@pmvines Don’t respond. There are some agendas here that aren’t interested in discussion or remotely even curious in a woman’s POV. This is chum for provocation. Ignore it.
If you get attacked by a tiger. You start to be on the lookout for anything with stripes. Unfortunately. A lot/actually most women have been attacked by men to varying degrees of awfulness.
Our safety is not assumed. In fact, to protect ourselves, we have indeed had to assume we are not safe and be prepared for that. That is what happens after generations of trauma and repeated trauma within a lifetime.
So it might seem like prejudice, I hear you’re upset about that. I do. But what is actually happening is a group who has had their safety trampled on time and again trying to be cautious and prepared.
Was everything said here as effectively as it could have been, likely not. We’re all humans who are hurting in different ways. We get upset and deal with it differently. Some lash out. Some find humor or jokes to ease things.
But for some of the folks who are upset about being judged due to their gender, you’re right. It’s not fair.
Because who said life was fair. Fairness is not guaranteed and has nothing to do with it. You are witnessing the reaction of a group trying to maintain safety for themselves and the reactions of a group of men who are trying to be allies in that.
Maybe instead of labeling them in return, you might ask, “How can I as a Man, who has no ill intentions, understand you better? How can I help your cause? What do you need to feel safe?”
And yes I recognize there are hurt men as well who also struggle with feelings of safety. And I try to make the same space for the men I encounter both here and in my personal life.
But the numbers are overwhelmingly in the other direction. So in groups and forums where strangers are meeting, try to understand that there is an attempt to protect a population of people here whose rights have been stampeded over time and again.
(And I recognize I’m sitting in binary language. It was the wording that had been used already in the thread and It was just the easiest way to express this for my tired brain.
@TheFunCartel It's weird how you make those assumptions in order to justify YOU not being interested in discussion any longer.
Have a good night! I'll be here to help, if you need it. 👋
[Stahp. Just stop with the baiting and personal attacks, @Briiyan - Sid]
@mauvefox
There you go again being sensible and eloquent 🙄
@mauvefox I can’t believe you are prejudiced against tigers!!!
Sarcasm Apparently caution and deliberation are the new symptoms of prejudice.
@pmvines
I do what I can. 😁😁
Tigers just be all about the kill.
But they’re still on the list of animals I want to snuggle but have been told I’m not allowed to cause they will definitely maul me. Society makes us enemies.
So stinkin cute!!
But you can't assume every tiger will maul you until you try and get mauled!
And when they maul you I suppose people will gather around your corpse and say “what a stupid thing to do. But at least she wasn’t prejudiced against her killer despite previous attacks.”
Oh what passes for logic now days.
Great ... now the thread is anti-tiger ... where will it end?!
True story. I held and bottle fed a baby tiger and got my picture made with it. This was years before Tiger King exposed what an awful industry that is. But at that moment and time I felt like I was holding a little piece of heaven.
where will it end?!
You have all night @GuyverGordon ?
But at that moment and time I felt like I was holding a little piece of heaven
That’s the tiger that killed the baby who was drinking out of an identical bottle! Just when you think you know someone…
Folks. Get back on topic. Stop with the personal attacks. Stop with the insistence of a CC gender war and start listening to women and their concerns for safety and THEIR protocols.
@mauvefox - I love everything you wrote.

Wait. Is this the thread I called “consensus” in?
….. “Nailed it.”
🙊
Ya’ll are welcome
Dude was trying to groom ya test your boundaries. I agree, the blocking confirmed it.
@mauvefox I have never really viewed myself as an “ally”, but I guess I am. My concern comes from being the father of a college age daughter and witnessing some pretty insipid behavior and attitudes towards women she endures on a daily basis. But I have a story that I think illustrates the hope you show in your post.
My daughter, who is not officially engaged but I am already seeing the signs, started dating her boyfriend in her senior year of high school. After a few months she invited him over, I made dinner and we watched a movie after a nice post dinner conversation.They had a lot in common—he was on the varsity swim team and she was on varsity tennis, they were both honors students, and they were both into anime, nature, and volunteering. I was impressed with him more than most of her boyfriends. But I never injected myself into her love life—I taught her to be strong, respect herself, and trust herself.
During the movie I noticed this kid starting to move up her leg. She swatted his hand away. He tried to go under her shorts—in front of me!! I was getting ready to say something when she stood up and said you need to leave if you can’t respect me or my dad. He left and she was in tears.
Funny thing though—he called me an hour later and apologized profusely and said that was totally disrespectful and dishonorable. Of course I said you really need to talk to her…but yeah, you came very close to dad’s wrath. I am not blind!
Long story short, I have watched these two grow over the last three years and he has been wonderful. He really learned, and while they had a bump or two they make a fantastic team based on communication and respect. So there are guys that are told no who grow from it and listen. I will actually be taking him down south with me to visit her at her college on family weekend later this fall—for her happiness and I actually do enjoy his company.
Some men listen and learn while others become bitter and resent women and there are a whole lot in between. I lucked out that her bf is the former.
@TheFunCartel I had to hold my breath till that story went well. I’m so glad it did. Because so many times it just does not.
And sometimes it’s not even obvious right away. Sometimes it’s years of having her light snuffed out slowly.
I wish I had half her courage when I was a teen. Good job dad!
